- A little something different from me today!
My son has had his spinal surgery and as you know from previous videos, the journey up to it wasn't smooth sailing!
I wanted to capture this big event in our lives, but in a way that it still respected my son and his privacy.. so this video is discreet yet it still shows my own journey in this part of our lives as a mother.
Thankyou to everyone who played a part in making this stage of our lives so much easier, Reece is home now and is recovering as we had hoped!

Until next time, love you!

Amazing lady ❤❤❤
As are you! 😘
I feel privileged to know you at this time of your life. As you grow stronger each day, you amaze and inspire me. You are wonderful. ❤️
🥹♥️
Thank you for sharing your story. I’m sure other parents will benefit from your viewpoint and experiences.
As a mum I can empathise with how hopeless you feel that you can’t always provide them with what they need and in this circumstance you nust feel helpless at times 😢
But things you’re giving in spades are love and time and that’s everything ❤
I hope filming and editing the process js cathartic for you to deal with it all too xx
Thanks Beth, it’s been a rollercoaster of emotions throughout it all and I’m glad I could capture some of that. Hopefully it can help other parents mentally prepare for the process a little bit more.
Reece has been amazing throughout the whole thing, he’s exhausted but pushing through 🥰
I have had a general anaesthetic loads of times, I've had 4 surgeries from the age of 11 months old to 5, I had to have MRI scans every 3 months from the age of 11 months to 13 years old also, & I had general anaesthetics for biopsies and other procedures that a young child wouldn't be able to stay still for, or would not manage the pain that comes with it, & every time, I used to scream, all the way down to the anaesthetic room, kicking & screaming, begging my parents not to let them put the mask on me, obviously I had to, but I hated the floaty feeling, & yes I too woke up disorientated & vomiting, so definitely expect to go into the recovery room & not see the person the same as when they left, it will only last a short while, until they fully wake up, usually around an hour after they get woken up, they will be fully awake.
Surgery must have been a long day for you. My wife was in a 7 hour operation and said it was like waking up straight after falling asleep. Luckily the hospital had a Maccy D downstairs for me!
7 hours! Wow that is a long time, thank goodness for McDonald’s to help pass the time! 💪🏻
