Swamp Fox is now running as I described it in my 2020 review. My 2022 rides occurred on opening day, which was understandably cooler than most days for this park. Swamp Fox also was retracked shortly after that and it's running better per locals who have ridden it year-after-year.
I go here every year. But I remember when was like 4 when my parents took me and my brother to hard rock park for a day. I remember riding some kids flat rides and playing in this ball play place kinda like the one at Universal studios. happy I had the chance to go here, even if I was 4 years old.
Where haven't you been yet?😂...i rode the wooden coaster at or near where the Pavaillion Amusement park was located. I don't remember the name of it, but it was fairly legit! I was younger and not as an enthusiast now. I was laughing when one of ElToroRyan's very recent videos shows him waiting in his car and he says, "Let's see what Canobie Coasters posted today"😂😂😂😂
My grandparents lived only blocks away from the Pavilion amusement park in Myrtle Beach. But we'd sometimes patron Family Kingdom.🥰 Swamp Fox was my very 1st coaster ride @ 5 years old back in 1974!!! 🎢😂 My mom always tells a story how she almost lost me during the first drop! 😬😳 I've been riding coasters ever since. 🥰🎢 Hoping to hit SFOG sometime before month's end. It was a little too cold for me back in March.🥶 As always, thanks for your groovy posts, and the great work.👍🏾☺️👊🏾
Ive been to splashes. The tall body slides are about on par with the tall body slides at wild water & wheels but the overall park is way too small and doesnt offer anything besides a small lazy river and a few slides. I visited Freestyle Music Park back in 2008 when I was 8. Ive ridden everything but its hard to tell where Time Machine ranks since i thought it was the best thing ever due to me being 8. And i didnt ride Swamp Fox until my 2nd visit to myrtle. But I think the Slingshot was my favorite there
@@ThrillsofColdplay im mad i never got to go there. It shut down 2 years before my first visit. Hurricane looked like my type of ride since im a sucker for CCIs
I would be stunned if that was the case (esp with the closure of Hard Rock Park). However I could see the continuing trend of small amusement parks popping up in that area
@@overbanked maybe family kingdom purchases some more land and can expand? Based on my visits last week they only have any space for a *very* small flat by the log flume far turnaround.
I rode Swamp Fox in October 2020, and it would seem that I got the weaker version of it. I still enjoyed it, certainly my favorite ride in my limited experience in the area, but nowhere near as strong as its reputation. It was rough, but not terrible. The park was so busy that day. So on those hamster wheel cars, are you saying that it's a better ride in the 2nd wheel back, not the front one? I have only ridden the version with one hamster wheel.
Did you get a chance to get on Air Strike? I haven't been back to Myrtle Beach since my lone visit in 2014, but I remember that ride being awesome. It's still the only propeller type ride I've ever done so I'm not sure how good it is compared to other models. I also did prefer it to Swamp Fox, but I don't really remember much about the coaster. I do remember that the track was green back then lol
I rode Swamp Fox back in 2008, and it was a top tier classic woodie (in the realm of Phoenix, Comet at Hershey etc). It was smooth with plenty of forces all around. Fast forward to 2021 and it was one of the most rough and bone jarring coasters that I ever been on. I unfortunately rode in the worst seating, the farthest in the back. This current neglected abomination of Swamp Fox wouldn't even make my top 200 coasters; it plummeted that hard. It needs desperate TLC to bring it back to it's former glory!
@@CanobieCoaster can confirm that if you sat in the middle of the car (aka non wheel seats) it was much more enjoyable. However because of the buzz bars it’s just more comfortable than most woodies
As a rider from this year, it’s definitely much smoother than it used to be. Back in 2021 when I went on it for my first time, I hurt my back pretty bad and I neglected going on one more time.. but this year I went for it, definitely paid off. Most fun thing ever! The company who must’ve revamped it absolutely NAILED it, because the description of the 2008 riding from your comment definitely was a good description of my experience. I love the ride now, and I think its status as a top tier classic woodie is back up there.
Any difference in forces between the Reverse Time 12 (like Hook & Slice) and the larger Reverse Time 24 (like at Quassy)? I love Reverse Time at Quassy; hella floater air. Hook & Slice (haven't ridden it) looks very fun also.

Nice!
Broadway At The Beach is such a great place. I've also been to Family Kingdom and that's a great little park.
Myrtle Beach has an interesting mix of attractions.

Thanks!
at 7:14 the drops are perfectly synchronized. I just think that's a satisfying moment.
Agreed!
Very nicely put together video and very entertaining as well. Thanks for posting this.
Thanks!
Back in the day the pavilion had two coasters.
Yes.
Rode swamp Fox last week.
The speed hills after the far turnaround + larger hill separating them have been retracked. Runs very smooth and floaty now.
Good to hear!
I still have yet to ride Mach Fun I’ll get on it this week and a half
Enjoy!
YES, someone else who realizes the laterals on twist n shout!
They're very strong.
I can't help but wonder how much different this ride could be if Hard Rock Park and the Myrtle Beach Pavilion were still around today.
True!
I want to family Kingdom this year
Nice!
Mini golf capital of the world!
Possibly! Although I prefer Lake George for mini golf.

I really miss Hard Rock Park/Freestyle Music Park and the original Pavilion
Thanks for sharing what Splashes has.

F in the chat for Freestyle
I wish I could've gone there.
F
I got to ride the hard Rock b and m. and old wooden coaster there. I think both are gone lol.
Lucky!
Hopefully one day we get a bigger amusement park close by not counting Carowinds which is 3 hours away
Hopefully!

Swamp fox family kingdom coped elitch Gardens on the wooden coaster because the first was twister than they moved and made twister 2
The two rides have very different layouts.
Did you hear the YoYo Swing is being removed from Family Kingdom next year
I did not.
Will you talk about the new Lost Island Amusement Park in Iowa
Once I make it there, yes.
Is Speed XXL a permanent installation of that ride or does it travel around the country?
It has been there for a few years now, so I think they own it
What a small park, that SBF Hamster Wheel is very unique, it may be insanely small of a park but why not visit it for that unique credit?
It certainly is unique.

The operator told me the second wheel spun more. I don't know if that's the same on the others.

I did not, but it's a similar ride to Speed. I suspect Air Strike would've placed 3rd or 4th.
Were the back rows still blocked off on Swamp Fox like they were in 2021?
Nope!
Why were they blocked off?

It was tolerable if I avoided a wheel seat.

The little ones have better airtime while the larger ones have stronger centripetal forces.
let’s get a drop tower ranking by VIEWS only 👀
That would be an interesting list.
That would be fun
Bruh I’m literally watching this in Myrtle Beach and I can see funplex and the sky wheel from my hotel
That's a nice spot to stay!
I’m assuming you left Myrtle Turtle off the list just to give the other rides a chance?
Yes
May I React To This Video On My Channel?
I have no issue with it. I don't know if you need to double credit the music and videos I reference though.

The Swamp Fox special.

you must really like myrtle beach huh
Its easily the best beach on the east coast overall
It's a fun place.
Water park is gone now splashes water park is gone in myrtle beach...
Dang!
It's a shame
