Your videos are getting better during the last weeks - it seems that you take more time to prepare yourself before taking pictures.
Thank you for you awesome work!

I am so excited about the Rock960 board. I have already a firefly-rk3399 board but I like the smaller design from the 96boards.
Hope they will release it soon for a not to high price for 4GB Ram version.
My firefly has only 2GB Ram and sometimes I think more ram would be not bad. Better to have then to need^_^

      2GB RAM, 16GB emmc at $99
      4GB RAM, 32GB emmc at $139
      probably..

      Charbax Thanks for the info!
139 would be a nice price ... Special compared to the over 200 usd for the firefly-rk3399 with 4gb ram
Go on with your videos. Very informative. I watch nearly everyone of them. Even if I am not interested in the main topic I like how you sometimes confuse the people with your ideas about the shown or next product. Very entertaining

Do you boot Linux off these boards ?
What do you use them for?

The firefly-rk3399 board I run with linux. Still trying out how good it is for use as a desktop replacement for casual every day use. Because frankly it was (and still is) quite little to expensive for one of my hobby tinker projects :D ... but frankly I am undecided maybe go back to the firefly-rk3288 board with 4GB-Ram I also have.
Every benchmark says the rk3399 is faster of course but well my gut instinct/benchmark tells me somethimes "back on the rk3288 it was more smooth"^_^
But I really like the Asus Tinker Board, smaller foot print and powefull SOC ... sadly only 2GB of RAM that why I am so excited about the ROCK360.
I made a somewhat called GameConsole for one of my friends with credit card sized USB-Flashdrive as "Cartrigdes" which will boot directly to the game. Wth a frankly not so good designed 3D-Printed case but it get the job done.
I think the RK3399 will be more powerfull for game emulation

It's still only pre-order at the 96rocks website and not (yet) at the 96boards website.
What happened to this board ?

nice board... hope your Linux implementation compares to PI and the like out there. Please don't release with a crappy Linux distro like Firefly did. It will ruin your hardware effort.

      @garystinten9339 Před 6 lety

Javier Fernandez and make an image for retropi..
There are ports of retropi out for other SBC computers and it's probably going to become the initial thing to judge these boards..
Whoever can get gods of war running full frames is the winner
