I played a lot of MK4 as a kid. I NEVER knew Quan Chi had that weapon steal move. Pretty cool.
i actually remember that move, however didn't ever knew it was a weapon stealing. For me it was some weird useless stance that does nothing :D

Quan Chi's Leg beating Fatality has to be hands down my favorite from any MK game to date
They brought it back for mk 9 and if you don't restart or anything he beats you forever with your leg.
On the N64 version of this game you can prevent being thrown by holding back while blocking. Me and my brother played this our entire childhood then discovered how to not be thrown and now we can’t play anymore because every match is spent chipping each other to death

Can confirm this does not work against the AI. I tried this and got grabbed 5 times in a row...
MK1-MK4 all had throw prevention by holding back and you don't have to block either. It does not work against the A.I.

The MK4 episode has been in the works for a bit, it's why I half know how to do combos and stuff. But I need to learn a lot more for editing to begin!

I don't understand why people think Kai is boring. Like, yeah sure - he's kind of just another Shaolin Monk character - but anyone who doesn't want to see him return hasn't messed around with him in MK4!
Kai, Fujin, Quan Chi, and Tanya are all fun AF to play as.
Kai has an insane moveset, you can pretty much combo anything with him.
Crazy game really loved it, underrated imo
This has to be one of the greatest MK games of all time... the amount of fun you can have with just casual play is crazy to me. After all these years it's still crazy good for a fighting game.
People shat on this game but it was so much fun. I used to always use shinnok and fujin.

So many lovely memories from my childhood, I wish this was remastered and included online.
I remember having the ps1 version of this game that had the "Strike of a Mallet" trailer in but most of my MK4 memories was playing it on PC from a Blobby disc that had MK4, House of The Dead and Megaman X4

I swear, if Kai doesn't return in Mk11 with his handstand as DLC, I'll be proper fuming. #BringBackTheVowOfRespect
This video is too cool. I really enjoyed MK4 as a kid. I had the N64 version & the fact that we had weapons in a fight blew my mind. One of the things that i love about this game was how it sounds. The punches sound more hard hitting. I wish MK11 had those sound effects for moves. Also i really enjoyed Reiko in this game.

I think Kai's handstand walking it's the best move it ever existed on a fighting game just because how ridiculous it is. I just loved when my sister and me both picked him just to cross each other to look who it's going to be the one that pushes the other to the wall. That always ROFLed me.

I wish the side step mechanic is something they can add to mordern MK. It adds more fun and reality to be able to side step projectiles/moves to punish
I love MK4. It's a strange MK game but the gameplay is fun. It's a kind of glitchy and quirky good time haha. I buy and mod those Arcade1Up cabinets primarily on my channel. I could never emulate this game since it takes a crazy power PC for the arcade version so I just bought a friend's A1U cabinet that he modded and put the real arcade board inside. I don't regret it, I love playing this weird game haha
Playing mk4 always gets a subscribe from me keep it up this was fun

I still feel kai and fujin had alot of potential as individual characters in the mk universe. I guess I'm the only one. Would have loved to see them more in mk games.
@Charles Hastings well even in armageddon they explained that fujin and kai worked together to bring raiden back from corruption and reunite liukangs possessed corps with his lost spirit which would bring liukang back. Then they tossed that story entirely.

Its the most fluid MK game ever, so fast and fun. Even tower endings were cinematics, as wierd as they were. No I loved that game no idea why people hated it

@@omgoat yeah I know .... people miss so many ninjas that made their way in more mk games than him.... To be honest I would take a few unpopular chars from old mk(s) rather than guests , but this is just the way market is nowadays
@@viniciuslessa3480 Actually, so far Quan Chi's only missed 2 games since his playable debut here. He was playable in 5 out of 7 main series games to date (not counting games made before he existed in canon, of course). That's a better ratio than most MK3 characters tbh, and the second best of the 3D era characters next to Kenshi (who, including DLC, has been in every game since his debut until MK11, making his ratio 5/6, or 80-something% of every game since debut).
@@jaernihiltheus7817 totally agreed, we kinda forget about past rosters lol. But yeah you're totally right. Hope to see him at least in 12. But hey, this mk 11 roster is nice in terms of adding new characters comparing to MKX cause they've only added three, imo wouldn't mind to have a new character as DLC. (Like Tekken series did)
