The EX-2 is essentially a E70 (the home version) in a really cool fiberglass case. Really neat instrument!! I'd love to play one of these, or its bigger brother the EX-1 which had a third solo keyboard like the D85.

And the Ex1 has two sets of generators…. ;)

probably worth noting that even the cheapest, Yamaha home organs of this vintage sound amazing! I use an electone in all my videos!

Wow !! It sound so good. And it can be considered the very firs polyphonic synthesizer.
It came out 1973. This is a great synth........with pretty many posibilities and pretty expensive. And hard to find....I gues.

I have one. I could use some help locating somewhere or someone in the northeast US to work on it and possibly modify it. Any suggestions are welcomed.

2:02 Sliders go down to increase, up to decrease.

It's like the drawbars on a Hammond. Pull them out to increase the level of that footage, push them in to decrease.

    • @lawrencedoliveiro9104

It’s because the earlier Yamahas only had the tone levers, not the sliders. So they figured that long-time Yamaha users would be accustomed to levers where the top position was “off” and the bottom was “full”, so they oriented the sliders that way round. Note these machines had a mix of both types of controls.
This confuses people accustomed to sliders on other kinds of equipment, where the bottom setting means “off” and the top one means “full”.
