Thank you very much man, finally someone who can explain things clearly and goes straight to the point. As for the mix bus, how do you make it? Is it just a group track to which every track of the project is routed?
thanks, mate. You're spot on. Mix Bus is just a group track, and the output of that is "Stereo Out". All of my other group busses would have output routed to the Mix Bus.
rnodern thank you for the reply!! Was wondering for heavier electric guitars if you apply compression both on each individual track and the guitar bus? Thanks!
Good question. Usually, i leave my guitar audio tracks insert free, and add all the compression to the guitar group bus. You could try to add multiple compressors, but hit each compressor only very slightly. At the end of the signal chain, you'd have a tightly compressed guitar track, but it's far more subtle, because you're only hitting each compressor slightly. The only time I'd add an effect to individual audio tracks would be, for example, I have 2 rhythm guitar tracks, one panned hard left, the other hard right BUT one of the guitars sounds vastly different to the other. i.e. it could be to low end heavy, or muddy mids, but the other track is okay. Rather than do the EQ in the bus, I'd add the EQ to the individual guitar tracks, send the output to the rhythm guitar bus, and then add my overall EQ & compression... if that makes sense
FINALLY! THANK YOU

Is the “mix bus” just another group channel track? Also do you need one?
Thanks for watching. Yes, it's just a group channel track. The output of the Mix Bus should be to "Stereo Out"
