After 6 years of steadily replacing coolant hoses and regularly topping off coolant, my 2013 SE 1.6L is finally leak-free! It was a journey. Many of the hoses were redesigned for the 2014+, which explains a few things. Good luck, everyone!

I'm 6 months late, but if he doesn't have a video there are good ones out there. I did it DIY myself and it's not too bad. Getting the valve off takes some muscle.

I’m impressed with how many years you have had your Escape.

Hah! Thank you! It has been a good go so far! Tried to be proactive with a lot of it. We used to have it immaculate but once we had kids it has become the babymobile :) floor liners are a life saver!

      Awesome. Thank you so much!
Can you also include tips on how to repair leaks I'm harder to reach places?

Thanks for your how2's. Do you have any plans to make one on how to change the fan belt?

Hey Leon! Thank you for the encouragement! I haven't done that video yet as our belt was replaced with the water pump and timing belt a while ago but I'm getting to the service point again soon probably. Are you looking to do yours?

@@HowToEscapeDIYTipsandReviews Mine is due soon, as well. It'd be nice to do it myself this time!

Did you end up fixing it yourself or did you have to take it in? I have a full on leak in about the same area. It has all been replaced before...

Hey there- sorry for the delay in response- I found the leak at the outlet of the engine block near the TSTAT on our 1.6L engine and replaced the outlet flange/pipe myself. It was good for a while (since the video was posted really), but I once again have a leak - it's funny you ask about it at this point in time. I have a hunch it's the same area but I'm not sure. I'll share more if I can soon. Which parts have you replaced before??? Thanks for subscribing to the channel! I really appreciate your support!
