Welcome to Baardskeerdersbos

Baardskeerderbos is a small Village in the Overberg near Gansbaai in the Western Cape, South Africa. The village is a farm type lifestyle with many Artist living in the area. It offer two restaurants and is on rout to towns like Bradarsdorp or Struisbaai.

My father grew up there and my grandparents' house and small farm are still used by my cousin, who renovated the place beautifully. I have many fond memories of our visits to Bbos.

The old school was never a hotel. The school was built in 1918 and the two flanks added in the 1940's. The school closed in 1988 and was the bought by the Strandveld farmers' association. It has ever since been used as a bar, venue for events and restaurant.
