- We are currently seeing less ATP professionals using a one handed backhand year after year. Are 1 hander backhands a dying breed for pros and even junior players? Let me know what you think!

Only if they do not use two handers for return of serve first. Otherwise yes. One handers are obsolete completely. Off the ground is fine..
👍
I’m right handed with a shaky 1HBH. If the R shoulder hurts I go LH w 2HBH . May work on a RH 2HBH when the shoulder says go.
I remember a prominent YT coach saying exactly the same 40 years ago! Then came Federer, Wawrinka, etc etc, who proved him wrong, and dominated the game. 1HB has greater reach, variety, and ability to hit harder. But yes it does need a certain talent, but I hope you are wrong.
I hope I am wrong too, but the facts are what they are. Best, John
I didn’t think arm strength was very important in tennis. Why is one hander weaker than two hander?
Hi John, nice topic to cover.
These are also the reasons why I switched to two handed Backhand. And Jannik Sinner’s gameplay also inspire me a two hander can be very aggressive too
Btw, are we getting the video on next gen forehand? :P
Cheers,
Joey
Sad, but true. The most beautiful shot in tennis is about to disappear :(
No way - most pros have both.
If 2HBH is so good, why dont players do a 2HFH?
