Seeking satisfaction in Christ alone serves two purposes: It is for our good and for the glory of God. âGod is most glorified in us when we are most satisfied in him.â As we drink daily from the cup of Jesus, it becomes evident to those we interact with that Jesus is enough and our hearts will âflow rivers of living waterâ (John 7:38).
We reap the benefits of knowing, loving, and delighting in Jesus. The Father gives us peace that surpasses understanding and provides for all our needs according to his riches. No good thing is withheld from us and all things work together for our good. Living in light of these truths proclaims to a discontent world that Jesus is better than anything the world has to offer. As we look to Jesus to make us truly happy, we also proclaim to a world in need that only Christ can truly satisfy.
Praying for you Hannah. May God pull you close to Himself and give you His peace.
May your days be brighter đđ»

never related with a comment more. im always go-go-go too and always stressed out about every little thing! haha lets take this video as a sign for us to slow down and incorporate stillness
@@SimplySami13 And that things don't have to be perfect, just done with intention.

I live in Africa, Namibia. I still work in the City but I drive every day 40 km to work and back to my rural house. I live in the African bush. Nothing more beautiful to hear the birds sing in the early morning, or see farm animals wander by, or hear the jackals call at night, seeing the milky way, it sometimes feels if I can reach out and touch it. I must add, I am totally of the grid, solar power work just fine for me, I have all the modern things in my house, I'm still restoring parts of my house though.
How exciting! What an interesting journey - thank you for sharing! â€ïž
Christa please do a video!
Iâm actually looking for a job out there maybe I can have a friendly face to show me around haha
if you ever decide to upload a video pls tell me!
Sounds almost like heaven
My favorite thing about you is you cherish and nurture the gentle quiet spirit within, and the result is beautiful. I have a similar temperament, yet have spent much of my life wishing I were less sensitive and more outgoing. I wonder how my life would be different had I thought differently. You are inspiring
The sky must be breathtaking. I am extremely jealous.
I always told my mom that this is exactly how I imagine my life . She tells me to be greatful to be living in a city with so many opportunities. I absolutely am . But , Iâve always known that my heart definitely belongs to a vast land with a cottage , breathing the fresh air every morning and not hearing the loud noises of so many people and cars . This is all too beautiful !
Your mom is the older generation...they think different.
Have you heard like those chirping of birds and the butterflies on wildflowers and the water so crystal clear , to swim in those during summers. My hometown is in countryside but I moved to cities for high school and college and visit home only twice a year but this lockdown just gave me the time to be here and enjoy every little thing . No matter wherever I travel this place will always hold my heart.
amen; me too
" I went to the woods because I wished to live deliberately " - Thoreau. One of my favorite lines from poetry, and you nailed it.
I've been researching about slow living lifestyle and i found your video, it makes me want to change my perspective to see the world and try this "new" (for me) lifestyle even more
Omg! Living in a countryside is the life that I wanted ever since I was a kid. I really love watching movies where there setting is in a countryside. I love your channel.
After living in cities all my life, I'm moving out to a rural cottage next month. I had dreamed about it for years, but it felt like a crazy thing to do as a single woman. But stars aligned and it's happening. I'm looking forward this new phase of my journey, in finding abundance in nature and simplicity. Thank you so much for sharing. Subscribed!
I'm so happy for you !!! wish you the best âĄ

Honestly, I feel like I could never be like her. I find new and exciting experiences, challenges, etc to be the main reason I want to keep living. I would be soooo depressed in her situation. But that's okay! It's important that we remember and acknowledge that everyone is different and will e fulfilled in different ways. While this cottage minimalist lifestyle works for her, it may not help everyone. anyway, definitely an interesting perspective, thank you for sharing! :)
You can live a life like this and still go out and have adventures if you want. I donât know why people act like living simply equals being miserable
@@emmaq3250 Agreed! If people are truly honest with themselves, they would admit that they are mostly miserable living in this so called modern society. Isn't it why so many here in the US have this idea that communism is going to usher in an era of utopia.
The bottom line is that happiness is not found in any specific situation. In fact, true happiness comes from being content in whatever situation you are in. In my experience, acknowledging GOD'S love and sovereignty has given me that contentment and peace.
@@shelsa3297 just because someone doesn't find it exciting, doesn't mean they're looking at it wrong. people are allowed to not like or relate to the same things you do. different strokes for different folks.
@@shelsa3297 and she doesn't. you saying "it depends on how you look at it" absolutely implies that if if only she would look at it from the same view as you, then she'd like it. maybe you didn't mean it like that, but it's what your comment said and why I interpreted it that way
im glad you have something you enjoy and feel challenged by nonetheless âĄ
I kinda feel what you said. For me, instead of "never be like her", I'm more like "I feel like I could not be like her YET". I haven't went abroad, heck, I still haven't got any job since last year, so I want to travel the world more, while collecting knowledge and courage to be more brave and self sufficient. Who knows what kind of life will leads me to
What a great video !
I was born and raised in an island. My heart has never stopped burning to move back there . I know it is how I want to live my life. My heart screams more quietness , please ! More inner space. Less chatter . More creativity . More writing. More art . More authentic connections. You mentioned â how to live a more meaningful lifeâ that is it for me ! It is what my heart desires . I pray for more courage so that I too can make the move and so that I can work through the voice of fear . Amen đ and thank you for sharing â€ïž
This video truly gave me a few precious minutes of peace, thank you for that. This is the dream for me, cut myself off from the world, living on what you can grow, healing that oppressive depression that comes from my NHS job and mortgage repayments. Thank you for taking that all away from me, if only for a few moments.
Edit (common qâs): I work here as a preschool teacher and artist. I am a Puerto Rican American. I live in Washington State.
Note: I do know that the audio volume is not ideal in this video, this was one of my first videos and I am still learning how to edit! My new videos are much improved â€ïž best wishes
What a beautiful video, Thank you.
I was able to hear this video and read the captins so i was happy with it.
Hi I'm so grateful I happened upon your channel. I presently live in Southern California and decided this year that I wanted to move to Washington state and live in the countryside. I too am a sensitive person, but have always loved nature and being in the outdoors. I would appreciate it very much if you would be able to share more tips as to where to live. That is my present dilemma. I am from the North East Coast and miss the seasons. I also was born and raised in Lima, Peru, but am an American. I miss the simple life. I miss the quiet. I miss the connection with nature. I don't mind being alone; just not lonely. I have a dog and a cat. I want them to enjoy the freedom of the outdoors too. Any recommendations would be so welcomed.
@@karenlm9062 I wish I were young and healthy again. If so I would be there is a moment!
As far as audio goes, I love your soft spokenness. It pulls you in. No multitasking while your videos are on. They insist on being watched closely or you will miss a smile or twinkle of an eye, the sound of a breeze blowing in the tall grass, or the snap of a bloom being plucked from it's stem. Thank you for sharing your genteel and quiet life. I am envious.
Dona, your comments are so nice. And I agree with your advice to be fully engaged when watching for these delicate nuances. (I just turned 6.0.đ) Wishing you peace~

I'm SO happy for you learning these new living skills, having gotten out of the city! I can relate so well. Fifty years ago I joined with my friends to buy and live on a commune. I spent the first two years doing exactly what you're doing. How far away from this I have drifted! There are still new things to learn, which I try to often, just to keep my hand in it. But your videos and lifestyle remind me it's not enough for me, I've floated too far away. You've given me the encouragement and motivation to get myself back to a more serene and earthy style once again. I've really missed it. But now I can combine it with the other things I've picked up along the way. Being an outdoor athlete for 30-40 years has not quite taken its toll but I've definitely slowed down from it and I'm alright with that. I can fill the time now with reconstructing my lifestyle, adding many of the elements of your life that you share with us, so eloquently and graciously. Thank you for helping me construct this new chapter. At 73, I started this process after discovering your inspiring videos. I return for my daily inspiration to keep going until I feel I've recaptured what I nearly lost. Much love, Louise
Just watching a compilation of your videos awakens my hope for a more vibrant and joyful life. One should not wait for the weekend to "enjoy life." We have everyday to do that one breathe at a time. Thank you for those tips to living a more abundant life.
im moving to a very small cabin very near the ocean and at first i was scared because ive always lived in the city but watching this gave me some hope. although im only there for about 6 months i think itâll do me good to live a bit quieter. thank you for this video
Ah what an interesting experience that will be! Whether or not it suits your spirit long term Iâm sure you will discover so many things about yourself. My siblings have done the same and then chosen city life as where they thrive best, but they always found it to be a positive and meditative retreat. How exciting, thank you for sharing đ€

After I watched the 1950âs sleeping beauty I was in love with the little cottage the fairies and aurora lived in. And how peaceful it was when aurora went to pick berries and sang with her voice echoing through the forest. I was 12 and to this day I still have a desire to live like that

Coming back to this older video after watching your updated house tour makes me so sentimental for the life you had only a year or two ago, yet so happy for the person you have turned into now. Struggling from a really bad cold and rewatching all your videos. They are so calming and provide a much needed distraction from my current reality. Thank you
"Spending time with children, experiencing the world through their eyes" this touched my heart. I started tearing up. It's true. God said he wanted us to be clean and pure like children. He also wanted us to learn to be happy without materialistic things. This channel is so opposite of mine. But it has really opened my eyes a bit. Reevaluating aspects of my life. This was beautiful.
Someday, i'll let myself live like this.
hope you make it!!

To quote John Lennon,"Life is what happens whilst you are making plans".
Don't spend your life making plans.
Take a deep breath and take the leap, we did,.
The ability to connect with your inner self and in the manner in which you do results in a maturing process gifted to you that you explore to find out who you are. A rare gift enlightening for all to replecate.
The sharing of your thoughts does resonates with me and brings me peace and joy.
Thank you so much.
