For the composter, you can use normal hoppers to automate it, then you don't need arms or fans. Also, you should have 1 sugarcane turned to sugar for every 1 bone meal produced to stop it backing up
I can confirm, a little bit of vanilla hoppers will take the bonemeal. Also, might be worth making a better bonemeal farm if you bring this onto your server other than just sugarcane.

hoppers are slow, but he could of just used another arm to take from it.
Regular chutes work 😂. I don't think the composter considers bonemeal as an item when it's full so I think the filter broke it.

The funniest part of this video is Shalz overengineering the bone meal part with create components while composters are able to interact with vanilla hoppers
I highly suggest Create: Factory Must Grow, where it adds a rather extensive oil drilling and refining procedure. Very worth a shot!
Isn't it just like immersive engeneering but no multi block and no electricity? Like immersive engeneering is really cool, but in create form, gotta see it.........

@@legendxgamerz1356you can convert rotation to electricity with factory must grow, I checked, it's somewhat compatible with immersive engineering, but you need to tweak some configs. It also adds nuclear reactor to generate heat for boilers

You can just use a regular hopper to extract from composters. Came up against the same issue myself when making a slime ball farm, seems create doesn't much like composters for the most part.
need another arm to take from the composter. way faster
Use a chute or smart chute on top of the composter to insert whatever you want to compost and add another chute below (doesn't need to be a smart one) and you have a ridiculously fast composter

Overcomplicated Create stuff is the best stuff. As many belts, fans and arms as possible so it looks like much going on but actually it just moves a sugar item.

Composters react to regular hoppers. just piping the sugar cane into a hopper is enough to put it into the composter. you also need Seeds anyway for the bio diesel so having the bone meal relegated to another farm is likely the wiser option. though can say you likely dont need so much sugar. so diverting some of the sugarcane is wise
you can make biodiesel which gives more stress units and the biodiesel can be used to superheat blazeburners which is cool it is the only way I know of too automate superheated blaze burners (because blaze cakes can only be semi-automated because of cinder flour) btw nice vids

Just FYI, I looked at this mod: there are muffler caps you can place on an engine, and the modular engines share fuel (I think).
Yea the modular engines do share fuel I use this is my mod pack
Use mechanical saws to pick up sugarcane even if it grows larger than 1 block. Great video! Mod looks cool

Create: The Factory Must Grow is similar to this mod but scaled up to an insane degree, took a long time for me to make it successfully work (there are almost no community sources, was mostly trial and error) but I had a lot of fun with it. I enjoyed needing to make a massive train network to connect my coal mine and my oil refinery together. Would highly recommend it!
I love how committed to the over complication he was to the point where he forgot that you can use two hoppers to automate a composter one on top and one on bottom
Those fermenting things are quite handy to use for the stuff which you get out of foodfarms.
About extraction from composers: Create makes it realistic. The bottom of composers is solid. Hoppers automatically pull things through them.
If you want actual diseal stuff there is a mod called “create the factory must grow” that turns create from a steampunk into a diseal punk. It is currently not fully working but you could check it out. There is actual oil harvesting and it’s really cool.
The mod might be a little different from usual but it’s useful and this video shows it off beautifully, great job
I'm pretty sure the modular desiel engine is supposed to go below the standard one, I saw a pipe texture ontop of the modular one.
I would imagine the diesel generators may also work with other mods fuel types for biodiesel/bioethanol so mods like Immersive Engineering or Create Crafts and Additions may be good alternatives to the biodiesel creation process if it is too much to set up or too slow (Crafts and Additions has a different recipe for their bioethanol that uses mixing recipes).

Probably biodiesel generates more power/lasts longer because it requires both of the fluids to craft
this is why I love factory games and mods

I think that addon would be more useful with the Valkyrien Skies: Clockwork mod, wich is based on building vehicles with Create mod
Easiest auto bonemeal farm can be done using vanilla items. Use hoppers. You can use the belts and funnels to make it fully automatic. Sugar cane/ compostable on belt to chute into raised barrel, hopper under barrel into top of composter, hopper under composter into second barrel, funnel to transfer bottom barrel items to belt, belt sends bonemeal off to be used
You may wish to check relations for create on curseforge, then dependents > mandatory dependants-there may well be more addons then you think

I mean like, it would be a destruction for create, but they could add in some addon dynamo block, that could turn stress units in to redstone power
for a composter, you dont even need normal hoppers like other ppl are saying, you can use chutes (the non-smart ones)

we absolutely need this in Shalz's survival world this would be lit in survival. Plus i would probably watch it a trillion times, Shalz pls do a survival episode on this

you can use wool blocks for sails too, but they are slower i think
I mean my favourite mods are mekanisim and other similar tech mod so adding more things like oil and fuels are always things that intrigue me in Minecraft mods
you should try Create: The Factory Must Grow it's a single mod but it adds a lot of things related to diesel/oil
For the composter thing, you have to input items from the top. Can be a chute, can be a hopper, doesn’t matter, it has to input from the top(discovered after rigorous testing of a farmer’s delight organic compost farm)
P.S also apparently output from bottom, you can’t use the filter chutes use the normal ones
You can also just put a hopper over a composter and under it to put items in / get them out of it
When you forget normal Minecraft items do work with create mod me being like "arm? deployer? fan? uhhh what about hopper?"

Just saying, but to get better performance you should mix the ethanol with plant oil to get biodiesel.

you can put the belt to the composter and it will go in.. you can also put a hopper under the composter and it will automaticaly take it out. then put a filter on the hopper and it will empty it

Shalz, if you make a create train with the diesel engine mod, you will probably be the best. With an ethanol tank and three diesel engines, it would run nicely

A skeleton grinder might ultimately be better than a composter, but if you don't have a spawner then your favorite food farm can feed into composters with hoppers. Since hoppers work, chutes should work? I haven't tried it htough.
The problem was with composter it is sided input at the top output is the buttom so you could use funnels but only if you use the correct sides.
Literally today, for no reason, I dreamed of a diesel generator in minecraft, and a few hours later I see this video (I didn't know about this mod) lol

in the create stellar modpack, theres a mod (cant remember which) that adds something similar called bioethanol. I was making a one chunk bioethanol farm before i got side tracked. You can convert honey into sugar and can get a pretty solid output from a bee farm.
mod name is create: crafts and addons. i made a small simple wheat farm for the biomass and a cobble gen for the cinder flour.

You can automation bone meal I a composter with just a hopper input and hopper output it can be done in vanilla
This addon needs a ton of work but it looks like a blast, hope they do a fabric version, the SU you get from these needs to be upped a insane amount it's a diesel engine it's literally known for torque.
then we have windmill bearings, which easily get a second place, and then we have windmill bearings! also very simple to make.
you HAVE to check out Immersive Engineering! It's basically create's more realistic and industrial sibling. Really underrated mod!
So from what it looks like, you just need any Minecraft plant to mix with bone meal to make Ethanol in the fermenter. That means you can make a potato farm to use in the composter instead of just sugar. Thus you can use a fan to make Baked Potato to put into the Composter for higher yields per harvest. Saving time and materials.

I know everyone is saying that composters can interact with hoppers, and that's cool and all...But he could have also set down a second arm to pick *from* the composter, and that would've worked fine, too.

in the survival replace train engines with a bunch of diesel engines and have refuel stations that are connected to one diesel factory
you know youve been playing modded to long when you forget a simple hopper exists!😂
with create you can move spawner anywhere, so if you use a skeleton farm instead of sugarcane it would be more efficient to use
You could have used a vanilla hopper for the sugar cane into bonemeal part, its how I do it in my create world
