"but we're gonna splash black for Orchish Bowmaster" - every deck in Modern right now.
Jund isn't just a BRG deck! Jund is a concept, a way of life!! This........THIS IS NOT JUND!!!
Lmao.
Well he has a point. This is really Gruul Ponza splashing black, not Jund.
@@v-niftytrickster4166 Doesn't matter. The colors are the colors, regardless of the deck style. WUB is Esper, RUG is Temur, RWB is Mardu... GBR is Jund.
@@adamminniear3984It’s both a color combination and an archetype. So it can lead to some weird things where someone calls their deck “Jund,” meaning the color combination, but someone else thinks they mean it’s the Jund archetype.
@@adamminniear3984so the last game he played against jeskai burn?
Been playing ponza and have felt the same except against some decks that were missing here:
1) Murktide is still an awful match-up.
2) There's not enough sideboard slots to pivot against decks that you don't have a "free win" against like living end/rhinos, scam, burn, hammer, food, etc. You can do well when you get matched up right but don't go over the top enough to force through a win.
3) 4CC is doable if you have stuff like stormbreath but since 8-10 pieces are just ramp your average draws are worse than them.
I still like the deck but just want to warn folks to still think about your meta before building/purchasing this deck!
Agreed and this is why I’ve been of the opinion since I left the deck behind that it’s overall gameplan is kind of obsolete atm. Mana dorks inherently makes a midrange deck worse since they’re more easily killable than other sources of ramp unless it has a justifiable payoff and this list doesn’t. Other ramp decks like Tron and Titan both have much better/faster payoffs and theirs methods of ramping are harder to interact with.
I don’t think murk is an awful matchup at all
Considering I 2-0 4-0d 4c in the challenge that this list is from I respectfully disagree!
Hammer is a free win also. LE is for sure favoured heavily. Not sure what your list looks like
Oof. I felt your opponent's pain when they accidentally pitch cast Force when they had the mana open 😂😭 That's the kinda shit I do.
I love how we got the deck designer in the comments refuting people's complaints 😂
You know it! It is evident when people have not played the deck and don't understand matchups
im seeing more and more decks going for 63-64 cards. maybe its the new way to go if you are not building around specific combo or interaction
64 cards was on purpose!

Yo this is my boys deck
I’ve literally never seen more paid actors in one league (sarcasm)
rg ponza splash black != jund
So literally RG Ponza w Bowmasters and Karn? Such innovation🙄

I don't get why people keep putting Karn in these decks. It's a 4-mana draw a card that takes up half the sideboard for extremely marginal gain. Just play more Rings.
Well, you see. If you play the Ring and they play a Karn....
Karn has become the new method of enacting the classic Ponza strategy of blowing up the opponents lands without having to use spells such as pillage.
Yep. Turns out almost every deck runs artifacts 🪡@@riotron1026
Play the deck first haha
