Lee Ving...The evil Elvis of punk rock! Def don't see bands like this anymore. Last time I heard this song was on S.O.D''s Live at budacon...HARDCOREFOREVER!!!
Fear fans might want to check out the book "Wired" about the death of comedian John Belushi - Belushi was a big fan of Fear and Black Flag during the early days of the LA punk scene. Belushi wanted his black comedy film "Neighbors" to be a punk film and hoped the audience would tear the seats out of the movie theater - he worked with Fear and they contributed a song or two (?) to the film - I have never seen the film but according to the book its really bad. But the book is great
the whole point of punk back in the late 70's and very early 80's is the same point that rock has always had and that is to party and not take yourself or the scene seriously. throw yer body around, dance, slam, whatever, take loads of drugs, alcohol, fuck everything that moves. to be free. and if it kills ya then at least ya die a satisfied customer.
Lee Ving could really sing too!
I wish we had the one where he's taunting the San Franciscans.
Loved this band. Wish "The Decline of Western Civ" would be issued on DVD. I'd buy it for the FEAR performances alone.
