As we have seen in news the death bodies of people floating in ganga , people run over by train, shortage of beds and oxygen these things were evident. We cudnot learn from the first wave which apparently made vulnerable for the 2nd wave. Around 7cr vaccines were given to foreign countries to make India vaccine guru whislt making its own citizen unvaccinated. Other countries including America gave their country first priority that's why India cudnot get vaccine when needed so badly. We failed and we must admit.
Relief measures were taken by govt like providing rations for 8 months. But what about the job losses , migrant workers. Flights were arranged to bring the Indians from foreign countries but cudmt make proper arrangement for our poor laborers. Later railway managed but charged exorbitant rates at the time of crisis why?
I'm telling all these because I have felt what they were going through, I don't see propaganda if there is any I onlynsee the dark time we went through. Coz after all we are just human made up of flesh.and bones.

In the second wave, my distant uncle had to run around from hospital to hospital with his oxygen deprived father on his back to seek medical attention while, his daughter and wife were having breathing difficulties with 30% of their lungs damaged and lying in the house.
His father died because he wasn't able to get a single can of oxygen cylinder. Then, my uncle had to run around from cemetery to cemetery in order to cremate his father's lifeless body. The body had already started decomposing so my uncle had no choice but to bury his body in a hole near the crematorium. This isn't how we bid adieu to a departed soul in our culture.
And this wasn't happening with just my uncle but lakhs of other people of my state. And you know what? Our government denied that there was shortage of oxygen, medicines, hospital beds, cremation grounds etc.
Cut to now, my uncle has tried to kill himself twice. He blames himself for the demise of his father. He hasn't been able to move on from this.

Seriously, I would like a red state basis to use to refute the people who are stating that the anti-vax element essentially makes a Republican party a lost cause. Plus I can use it as an example of how people can work with the anti-vax movement, and I realize it can go from people that are just hesitant and get scared because of all the distortions, versus the Q-anon conspiracy types types who are a lost cause until they're in the hospital dying.
It's sort of like explaining second amendment issues to people in the anti-gun crowd. Some of those people bring up genuine issues, and deserve to be listened to. Some of them are lost causes, because they are not for sensible gun regulations like Switzerland had until the EU shoved their rules down their throat with the very genuine threat of shutting down their open borders (and Switzerland still put the vote up to the people, but having hard borders when You are totally surrounded by the other entity, which will really screw up your export trade, they did vote reluctantly to sign into the Swengen pact). When he Demonitized vast majority of Indian economy that ain’t digital , he gave his citizens an hour or so. When he announced one of the world’s most draconian lockdowns he gave people 4 hours. So many folks just left big cosmopolitan cities for their villages as they were daily laborers with no social safety net. Some of them walked 1000 miles. Huge chunk of them died from dehydration and exhaustion . He could have done what every sane leader in the world did and announced lockdown within couple of days. But he needs his power trip.

Even our domestic help was paid fully for entire year without even working for a day. We are not bound by any contract as again this is informal sector.
