- Baylen bravely took a risk and posted TikTok videos of her daily struggles with Tourette syndrome. Her videos quickly went viral, and she now has over 3 million followers. Baylen says she struggles daily with her tics and OCD, and her parents are trying to help her get better. Baylen says social media helped her gain the confidence to go out in public again, while doctors told her to stay home. Singer and influencer Lele Pons says she also suffers from OCD, Tourette syndrome, and depression but has had a different experience on social media when sharing her story with the public. I was diagnosed with TS at age 6.
Im 60 now and all signs of TS has disappeared when I was about 36 years old. I ABSOLUTELY LOVE AND RELATE TO BRAYLEN!!!
Growing up in the 80's and 90's the talk show circuit used to treat it like a circus side show. Glad it's getting more attention and respect. All of us struggle with something - some worse than others. Treating people with respect and understanding through such a tough condition is key to better outcomes. I have noticed that through time Baylen's condition does appear to be improving and I'm hopeful that like you for her it will diminish and then cease. Nothing but love and respect for those who have to deal with this condition.

Were you there, were you present in the studio when this was being filmed? I wasn't so idk but do you know how many takes it took to get the Final Cut that was aired? do u realize Dr. Phil considers his show to be family programing, for that reason as well as to respect the young lady, the clip was likely heavily edited. not even going to mention FCC regulations.

It's clear that you have not been paying attention. Bayley has spoken about how when she is addressing the subject of Coprolalia, her tics become very pronounced. Coprolalia is not being addressed in this conversation. Reason #1.
Reason #2: Another girl with Coprolalia, Rachel Orkey (so?) speaks about there being medications available to help calm the tics (in Rachel's case she says that the side effects are not good in her experience). In this video with Dr Phil, Baylen appears to be substantially relaxed, even borderline anesthetized. Dud you consider the real possibility that for purposes of going on to live television she may have taken medication so that she could maintain a more controlled disposition for the show, though the tics still push through? As I understand, the medications used for Tourettes are quite powerful and some may knock several horses out altogether.
I believe you lack understanding here. Yes, there are those who are liars and manufacture a public life for notoriety and fame. One that I'm aware of has been exposed. But let's be honest, this is not sonething the normal person would emulate for kicks or cash. You see Baylen's family, her home, validation by a doctor and his wife. This very clearly is nit fake.

I have tourettes and not everyone has it like this. Not everyone shouts. I have an extremely mild case where im not even on meds fir it. I live alone etc. Some ppl have it bad to mild and up. Some ppl do shout obscenities like this tbh. Not everyone. Those are what u call motor tics. Then there are facial tics as well. Touretts and ocd can go hand in hand. Like, a person can have ocd without tourettes way more often than a person w tourettes can have ocd. So, tourettes is tricky in the sense that it doesn't look alike a lot of the time. It depends on the severity of it and what kind u have. She has more motor tics it seems than facial. Based on the vids I've seen on her CZcams. I think she dramatizes her tics as a way to balance out the high level of discomfort that comes w that disorder. But that doesn't mean shes lying. I personally believe her 100% sold. I just think she dramatizes it for laughs. No way she's faking it man. I just dont believe that. But that being said, she may not be dramatizing anything at all. Maybe its just how it is for her. Either way, i think shes funny af. I enjoy her channel.

I don't know where you are on the spectrum, but as someone who also have adhd and authism, I wouldn't say I could understand what she is going through. Adhd/authism affects social/mental while tourette affects your body directly (and probably your social life sadly, but not a direct cause) It's completely different so I don't think I could ever understand the extent of it. I couldn't imagine not knowing if I could "get worst" as she said and be forced to give up my dreams... I really hope she will be able to do what she wants in life and achieve whatever goals she has
