Those are the tears of someone who has supported a team from the beggining and now finally sees them sucess after all those years of dissapointment and pain
These tears are more than that.. Leicester City is not a big club, they celebrate not being relegated, winning an odd one in the season. So when you celebrate a miracle, these drops are precious, memorable, and part of history.
We may never see it again. Maybe not in our lifetimes and almost certainly not on that scale. This really was the perfect storm. Chelsea (previous and subsequent league champions)fell off a cliff, Man City were in a weak spell, United, Arsenal etc all also in a poor cycle. Liverpool hadnt achieved peak levels again. The one year that someone else could win it, and Ranieri of all managers was the perfect man to manage expectations and, ironically given his nickname the Tinker man, knew well enough to keep roughly the same winning team all year. It is, I strongly believe, the biggest team sporting upset in all team sporting history, and quite possibly up there for biggest upset in all sports, including individuals. With the wealth and talent of 6-7 other teams, and given Leicester were bottom the previous Christmas, winning the toughest and richest league in the world was actually incomprehensible. We probably won't see it again.
Nah pal you mean English football. Leicester are much of a football club than glorysupporting corporate outfits like City, Liverpool or United. Fuck the big teams mate. It’s the smaller local teams that bring this passion and emotion. Glory hunters simply cannot relate
@@tflm9802 it's the some of the fans that are plastic but United and Liverpool were small clubs too they came a long way mate but city obviously are a money club no offense.
@@tflm9802nahh not really man, i'm a liverpool fan, and I love the club with my soul, I would never support another club. For hardcore fans...these emotions are legit. When you start supporting a club that is an ultimate underdog and you live your life attached to that club never expecting to see them to win a trophy...let alone, the English Premier League Title, it’s an incredible feeling. This was me in 2012 when Man City won the title...the emotions didn’t even have time to set in because of the nature of triumph. Just happened. The joy within these tears can’t be seen but it’s there and the memories of that emotional reaction and what it means to those individuals that experience the surreal emotions...it lasts a lifetime. It’s the stuff of dreams!
Hermiie - Nobody can control what anyone does. For some people, they get a kick out of attaching themselves to a club once they win...for others, it’s a lifelong rollercoaster ride that is 100% dedicated to the journey. Long time Man City fans never expected a Cup trophy let alone English Premier League Titles for decades. Now the success is here, those long term City fans are the one that ultimately are most euphoric, thankful and appreciative of all the silverware won because they suffered. None of the new fans know the heartbreak of relegation. They only know one Manchester City, the winning one...just hope these same fans stick it out when City aren’t as successful because to have fans through thick and thin...that’s the measure of a great club. I consider a club like Newcastle United to be great. They haven’t won silverware in ages...but I think they’re great because they’ve had such a wonderful fanbase for decades who have jumped aboard their rollercoaster ride and stayed for the duration.
@@andrewrechichi4091 great comment that i agree wholeheartedly with, i myself am a Leicester supporter and it was surreal.
