    Awesome video! I'm a current accounting major also pursuing a minor in CS. Took my first computer science course this past fall and also took intermediate accounting passed both CS and intermediate with an A grade. I was a bit intimidated to start programming in python but began loving it immediately definitely my favorite course of the semester. Accounting industry is changing and these skills are necessary. This shouldn't be seen as a burden we are only helping ourselves out by learning more marketable skills in addition to accounting like programming and data analytics.

    I am a.cpa.with over 14 years of experience. The one language to rule them all is SQL. Python is nice but SQL frees you from the accounting ERP. Excel + SQL will solve 90% of your day to day tasks. I also use pandas and wish I could use it more than I do. But I use SQL almost every day.

      @@afaisaliqbal I would go with SQL. Really easy to build reports with it. You can substitute power query for python but python can crunch larger data sets than power query.

    Great video, I subscribed. I am an accountant myself and I have always felt accountants should know more about technology than most currently do.

    Fantastic video Riswan. I'm enjoying the work you are doing on these videos because you break down WHY and WHAT is going on. So many videos I see superficially state - "learn python, it's great, you can do so much" and then give you really high level examples, like "Instagram uses python". I think, yeah, I'm an accountant that wants to be better at my job. How do I implement this into my non-silocon valley job. Again, great videos - clear, logical, and dig deeper than most.

    What do you think is the highest paying job with accounting and finance, involving python, but not maths?

    • @RizwanAhmedSurhio
      @RizwanAhmedSurhio  Před rokem

      One of the highest paying job roles that combines accounting and finance with Python expertise, without a heavy emphasis on mathematics, is that of a Financial Data Analyst or Financial Data Scientist. These professionals leverage their accounting and finance knowledge along with Python programming skills to analyze large datasets, extract insights, and make data-driven decisions.
      In this role, Python is used for data manipulation, data cleaning, data visualization, and building predictive models. The focus is more on understanding financial data, identifying patterns, and deriving meaningful insights rather than advanced mathematical modeling.
      Some of the responsibilities of a Financial Data Analyst or Financial Data Scientist may include:
      Data Extraction and Transformation: Using Python to extract data from various sources, such as financial databases, APIs, or web scraping, and transforming the data into a usable format for analysis.
      Data Analysis and Visualization: Performing exploratory data analysis using Python libraries like pandas, numpy, and matplotlib to uncover trends, patterns, and anomalies in financial data. Creating visualizations and dashboards to present the findings.
      Financial Modeling: Building financial models using Python to forecast future performance, conduct scenario analysis, and evaluate investment opportunities.
      Risk Assessment and Fraud Detection: Developing algorithms and using Python to analyze financial data for risk assessment and fraud detection. This may involve anomaly detection, pattern recognition, and statistical analysis.
      Automation and Process Improvement: Utilizing Python to automate repetitive accounting and financial tasks, streamline workflows, and improve efficiency.
      Report Generation and Communication: Preparing reports and presentations based on the analysis performed using Python, effectively communicating insights and recommendations to stakeholders.
      These roles are highly sought after and can command competitive salaries due to the combination of accounting and finance expertise with Python proficiency. The exact salary range can vary depending on factors such as experience, location, industry, and company size.
      It's important to note that the job market and salary ranges can change over time, so it's always a good idea to research current trends and consult reliable salary surveys or job market reports to get the most up-to-date information for specific roles and locations.

      Hey, I’m a current Bs. Accountancy student. I don’t know if I’ll be of great help but there are some courses in ACCA that are also required courses in Bs. Accountancy. So it’s better to finish your degree or at least most of your degree before Pursuing ACCA to be exempted from those courses. Again, I’m also a student so I may be wrong.
