Learning to play ranked from vct is not an effective methodology. Watch pro players that tryhard ranked games for your ranked games, not 5 man pro teams with more coordination than you or your 5 stack could dream of
@@dunnile you learn specific things you can do and ask for from your teammates, the point isn't to replicate it but to learn strategies and protocols based on specific actions. watching pro players stream ranked is a great way to not improve as they run it down for content

i mean he had a 70% winrate last act and was 8th on leaderboard so idk if its the best option to look at his ranked games and call him overrated, could see it for vct ig though
even in vct he's second best rated player in the recent america stage 1 despite losing

the point made here is different. people call him the goat of pro valorant scene when he isn't. people tend to watch his vod to improve, but they shouldnt. on pro scene, he is washed. good aim but pretty bad decisions.

Idk about calling TenZ overrated and then looking at him in a ranked environment to justify that lmao. Not a single pro player takes ranked seriously, like look at zellsis, yk how many people say its like a different person is playing when he is on a lan server. Anyway does rack in the views of 'angry' TenZ fans like me I guess. Honestly I think that on average TenZ is making more good decisions than bad ones in ranked, that's how he's ranked as high as he is, and also due to the completely different and less cohesive team play in ranked compared to the pro scene, some crazy plays might convert a lot more than meets the eye, regardless I don't think he is bad to watch if you want to learn how to rank up. Obviously you can ask yourself if some of the plays he makes he only gets away with cause of his aim, its as simple as "Do I hit that shot?" if not, its not something you should emulate. I can almost guarantee though that at least 80% of the time, a TenZ ranked vod will several plays you can emulate and definitely pull off that will have good conversion in a ranked environment.
calling someone overrated requires the knowledge of someone’s skill AND how people see him. Your only evaluating his skills but not how most people view him. Most people see him as the greatest and possibly near perfect player in pro and ranked. but that simply is not true. As shown in this video here, tenz doesn’t indeed make some bad decisions and although the other deaths were perhaps just for clips, the raze ult and brim ult were definitely an oversight on tenz’s part.
@@jason-te6je I'm mean you're inflating your argument as well. Who sees him as near perfect in *ranked* ? He's not consistently hitting ranked 1 or anything. Most discussions regarding GOAT is surrounding pro play. So in that context, yes, saying he's overrated then looking at *ranked* is silly. Use a VCT game. I mean, he could even use one from this past split lol. Either way it's shitty clickbait.
Did you watch the video? He literally acknowledges this several times. Once at 7:00 where he says “if this was VCT he would have played smarter” yes ofc worthy is click-baiting with a title that says “tenz overrated” but the commentary in the video clarifies exactly what he means by this, that you shouldn’t copy his ranked play (or his pro play) which you literally agree with; “not a single pro player takes ranked seriously”. Who are you even arguing against? You share the same opinion, you’re just getting mad over click-bait which means you should probably delete CZcams cause everyone click-baits to some degree. Worthy’s content is all about analyzing gameplay to point out mistakes and point out good plays, he’s by no means trashing tenz, if you don’t like this style of content don’t watch lol, don’t come here just to defend your favourite streamer cause there’s nothing to defend, there’s nothing malicious even being said so who are you even defending at this point? The issue is that a lot of people primarily watch him stream ranked. What you see of him in pro is limited to when they have the feed focused on him.

Tenz by definition is gonna be overrated. Being the face of valorant will be the reason for that. Now is he not one of the greatest player to ever play the game? Yes he is. Is he the only player who has been called the Goat in his duelist era and managed to come back after being "washed"? Yes. Hence we can argue he is indeed the best player that has ever played valorant. But still he would be overrated.
i think all points you made are completely valid and make sense, but it kinda falls short if you don't mention how ranked games aren't a good benchmark on what tenz' full capabilities as a valorant player is, it is a pub match afterall

People who love him will obviously not call him overrated but hes nowhere near the valorant skill level so many people in radiant and with no CZcams account or streaming have. What he is though is pretty all rounded not the crazy demon1 level aim but pretty darn good aim, not yhe best strategist but pretty darn good with teamwork and thsts what makes him good and all rounded. Anyone else i can name is better in another way definitely but not as all rounded.

Well sure his decision making is not the best and he's pretty reckless, that's just how he is but because he's mechanically gifted, he usually gets more reward than getting punished for being aggressive.

Tenz got washed in csgo and that's the reason why he decided to give a try to valorant. you may ask is he gifted? Sure he is, but not good enough to be considered a goat, which is this case, aspas might be the current goat of val
