actually in high elo lobbies tapping at half defuse (at least right after getting half) is worse than not tapping at all. tapping at half means that you want to convey to the opponent that you halved. in fact, you're saying you full on stopped defusing just to tell the opponent that you halved, in which case the opponent most of the time will think "well why would he go all this length just to tell me that he halved? he is just trying to make me peek."
all the while not tapping after half is putting a constant pressure on the enemy of you sticking it. at 13:45 the raze tried to peek at the 3 second mark (just before half) which is the best timing to peek a defuse, but missed it by a little. not a gold play
