When GB plays in the superbowl we need a live watch party with you guys
Every 14 years, they win the Superbowl. This year is year 14. GoPackGo 💚💛
I hate to break the bad news to you, Paul, but the Packers have five receivers capable of having a 100-yard game. You most likely didn't think to include Bo Melton who has a 100-yard game already...against the Vikings. Enjoy the season! 😆😆
It’s nice to see Robert ziggy Zeigler from the university of West Virginia back on the show after securing himself the long term deal!
Always nice to see a jameswarner261 comment!
Sources say, ‘He was holding out until the new contact was signed.’ We will have to keep an eye out on ESPN and others for further details.
Jack. Bars in Florida prohibit people from Wisconsin from joining drinking contests during Spring Break. I once watched three tables at a bar in Germany where one table was Germans, Once Wisconsinites, and the last were Irish. The Wisconsinites won.
So. Jack. Go ahead and challenge a Wisconsinite to a drinking contest lol
Ziggy needs a beaver dam beavers hat from Wisconsin
"You can't just get an offensive line..."
Why not? Green Bay does it every year, almost always with drafts picks and never free agents.
Rasheed Walker and Zach tom are 7th and 4th rounders babyyy
They draft and develop offensive linemen and put a priority on being able to play multiple positions. That is the key to their success with that position group.
As a Packer fan I am just telling you all that the Packers will win the Superbowl this year. We don't lie, prepare your show accordingly.
As a Packers fan, please take this comment down
@@spacedisco612 You're not a real fan
Love the optimism but don't get delusional, we're not cowboys fans
@@Inconsistent_memes I am not delusional, I never say this type of stuff, I know they are winning.
I wouldn't normally say this either but I truely feel this , this year.
Nobody was excited about the Packers hiring Joe Barry.
Barry and anders Carlson are the only two moves gutey could not get me to trust. Neither had shown anything before that made adding them make sense
Barry and anders Carlson are the only two moves gutey could not get me to trust. Neither had shown anything before that made adding them make sense
Matt LaFleur hired Barry - not Gutey. And Matt and Gutey are equals in the hierarchy. Both report to Mark Murphy. So you can’t put Barry on Gutey. He might’ve been consulted, but it’s not his decision. That one is on LaFleur. And Murphy by extension.
As soon as Joe Barry was hired, I remember everyone going "Why?" And one of the biggest answers was nepotism and familiarity. Reporters brought up the fact that the LA Rams needed a new DC and even though he was already on the staff the Rams decided to go in another direction. People brought up the fact that he was the DC of the 0-16 Lions. Cautiously disappointed was the general feeling over the hire. Pettine was hyped up by Rex Ryan, that was about it with him, but he was still thought of better than Joe Barry.
Jack explaining the arm scratch continuously digging himself deeper and the look on ziggys face is priceless like wtf🤣
Packers fan here. Jack is insane. I'd love to have McCaffrey on the Packers for $19m/year.
The RB position is important. The Packers offense looked completely different when they had Aaron Jones compared to when they didn't last year.
Don capers was the last DC we were excited about. Both Petine and Barry were not candidates that fans were excited about. It is a STARK contrast with the Hafley signing as every packers fan is very fired up about the hype and potential surrounding Hafley and his scheme.
The Bengals are living proof why offensive tackles are more valuable than receivers. They have had the best trio but it doesn’t matter when your qb is always hurt
CMC is just such a dynamic player that fits into anything the 49ers want to do. It just makes sense that they wanna lock him up. He changes that offense and turns nothing into something, he’s also pretty durable and reliable to help the team clutch a high seed every year. He’s incredibly valuable in the backfield as a receiver and runner. To have a hybrid like that is worth WR money
If CMC wasn't on the field for the 49ers, then the Packers would have won that playoff game easily. The 49ers wouldn't have even made the Super Bowl without CMC
@@JJB_80_815 on god bahaha never hoped for a regression more for any one player (as a packers fun duh), but that’s just a show of respect to a future hof.
I always think of tomlin immediately when jack says coaching doesn’t matter and I just don’t understand how a Steelers fan can say coaching isn’t important😂. That man has gotten y’all through some of the worst qb play over the last few years. Tomlin is a savior
As a packers fan McCaffrey is the only reason they won that game in the 4th quarter. 19 mil is not much at all for him
This is the "Paul & Jack try a massage for the first time" episode so naturally im making deshaun watson jokes lolol
Packers fans were also 'believe it when we see it' with Mike Pettine, and with Joe Berry - nobody liked that hire.
I am sorry, but for the Rodger's thing- I will not give him a pass. He used to pull that kind of stuff when he played for us, and the drama got really old the last 4 years he was with green Bay. So glad that we have a new quarterback and no drama last year and this year.
Never been this early! Love the show boys
"They might have an off day.".
Oh my God, I am dying.😂
Great to have you back, Ziggy!
Awesome show, guys. When I think of Mike Tomlin as a coach, I have to think of Mike McCarthy with the Packers. What I mean by that is Tomlin wills his team to get to .500 or better every season. Think of the last couple seasons in particular when you have Kenny Pickett, Mitchell Trubisky, Mason Rudolph. And they still get there; whereas McCarthy is kind of dragged to the playoffs by the talent of the players. And that's not to say he had a bad scheme. Back in the 2000s and early 2010s, it worked well, but it got figured out, and he never adapted, and while he's done a little better schematically in Dallas we still see that he only goes as far as the talent takes him.
The McCaffery question is interesting. I think Jack is right 99% of the time on this. If running back is your best player you don't win. Look at Adrian Peterson when he won MVP for the Vikings. That season I think they went 10-6 and got bounced by the Seahawks in the wild card. Derrick Henry, yeah the Titans had that amazing season where they bounced Tom Brady out in the wild card, and ended his New England career on a pick six, they embarrassed the 14-2 Ravens at their place, and they almost took out Kansas City in the AFC Championship. That was a herculean effort on the part of Henry and they haven't gotten anywhere close to a Super Bowl since then.
The McCaffery situation is different. The overall talent of the team is that much higher so it gives the team a great floor to start from and McCaffery is one of those guys who can just take it over the top both in the running game and the passing game.
Normally with the best guy on the team is an RB the opposing defense can sell out to stop the run because the QB isn't good enough. In the case of SF though if you sell out to stop McCaffery then Purdy is accurate enough and the receivers are good enough to get open. And then vice versa. All that to say I think he's worth the money, and at the end of the day it's not like the team is spending my money. 😂
Sorry for the dissertation but it's an interesting topic. Thank you for the great show!
I’m a believer in the Packs offense for sure, but as far as the defense goes, I agree with Paul, I’ll believe it when I see it, but at the same time, it can only get better, so , success!!
I understand your point about Brett Favre not showing up to training camp or OTAs or anything but he also never won another SB when he started doing that either
Ziggy needs to record his own voice with a Shure SM7 or even a Yeti USB then export the file and send it over to the editor and dub it over the video. Then you can edit, compress etc both vocals the same. Just an idea. (I do a lot of music production so if you need any help don’t hesitate to reach out to me.) :) Thanks for your hard work and dedication.
Appreciate it - he’s got a Shure just in the middle of a move at the moment so had to go with camera mic 😬
So glad my king ziggy is back 🙏
The main reasons I think this Rodgers stuff should set off some red flags is because he's been a notoriously slow starter the last like 5 years or so, and when this attitude started when he was in Green Bay it sort of retroactively was one of the first indicators that he had started to mentally check out with the team. Plus Rodgers no-showing practice feels like it has some signifigance because during his last season where he played his lack of chemistry and reps with his teammates was noticeable. So when you also factor in the Vice President mumbo jumbo earlier this year, I feel like there's some decent concern that he's not actually 100% in the team especially when you also remember what he said at the end of last season.
What are you saying Jack I work in a bar as a Chef and some people can drink for 12 hours straight, throw up and drive home and show up on time for work every day!!! lol 150 lbs lol Love you Jack you make me laugh! We live in the land of 22 bars to every church !!!1 lol
Zigzag your the man. 😎💯
Thanks!
Thank you for the support!
Dang Jack this is the first time I gotta disagree on the McCaffery take, He definetly is worth every penny!
New haircut looks good Ziggy!
Coaching matters more. When Vince Lombardi took over the Packers, the team had gone something like 2-12 the year before. That team had 4-5 HOFs and tons of pro bowl and all pro talent all over it that just wasn't used right. So yes coaching matters a TON. Players are good but they have to be utilized right to succeed and excel
Not watching again until Jack has Oregon gear 😎
4 good wr's? We have 7 or 8!
Don’t sleep on Bo Melton, we got 5 dudes who could be #1 on any given game
1st 2023 Packer with a 100 yard game!
I agree that CMC is an elite player, but in Kyle scheme any running back is going to succeed when having Trent Williams at LT. Elijah Mitchell took us to the Super Bowl in 2020 and we ran the ball a lot more with Jimmy than we do with Purdy. I respect CMC but if he were to go down the next running back would be just or near as good.
I’m just not sure this is true. We’ve seen other RBs in SF a lot. None of them have come close to being able to do what he has.
@@ThePaulFarringtonShowDo you think he’s going to be as effective this coming season? I truly don’t. I think he is going to have a drop-off and hopefully he can stay healthy.
It’s certainly possible he gets hurt. But, every season he’s started 15+ games (4/6 since his rookie year, where he spent some time on the bench) he’s put up 1800+ scrimmage yards. I think he’ll eventually get a little snap management, but he will continue, per play, to be one of the most effective players in the league for another couple of years.
You know. With most people, I would get really suspicious of "my sister was giving me arm scratches". But Jack as proven himself to be exactly weird enough for that to be perfectly normal for him.
😂😂😂
@Jack, McCaffrey isn't just a RB! He is an extra receiver and an RB and a blocker. its like having the best Tight End, when they can block and catch and run routes.
Mike Tomlin may have kept AB to the locker room, but as of late, a lot of Wrs have gone viral for some very bad reasons lol, possibly sometimes he has to get that Wr core to be a bit more serious
By not showing, AR has all the attention. That's just the way he likes it.
Slippers are fire though the canon beach shirt would totally have worked, but I'm still stuck on "sold the hat to a friend for 150 bucks" 😂
also Jack, why tf do you always say my u/n with a question mark lmao. Zach, you gotta get a vocal coach for our boi, cmon man step it up
@ThePaulFarringtonShow Why do the Packers and Steelers continually do well and are always contenders? They focus on the BIG UGLIES. They draft and develop offensive and defensive linemen and put a priority on versatility in those lines, especially the offensive line. Another reason that the Packers have a HoF QB - they don’t toss a quarterback with talent behind an offense line that has that “Chosen One” running for his life, making bad throws and getting injured. Jordan Morgan is an upgrade to the offensive line and an investment in Jordan Love.
@ThePaulFarringtonShow Listen to Keisean Nixon on Up & Adams and his “Little man syndrome” about Hafley and how he challenges MLF in practice by throwing in a blitz when MLF’s offense isn’t expecting it. The good DC’s are usually a little crazy and I think we got a good DC!
“Coach a team that wasn’t that great, with mediocre qb play at best, and maximize what they can do”
So coaching matters.
What happened to the QB rankings show?
Coming soon, Eric!
As a Packers fan, I think we're used to success. I think our expectations are that they go further than last year. I think if we go 9-8 and get a 7th seed and beat up on Dallas again, I don't think Packers fans will count that as a success.
Green is not recommended in that stadium during events about their football team but sao paulo is full of green and its fiiine but the eagles all black uniforms vs the Packers all white uniforms would be GREAT
@52:00
But Ziggy. If the defense improves or Love shows he is that guy they ARE going to be one of, if not the best NFC team. 🤦🏼♂️
How do you not recognize Wisconsin as running back U.?
Glad to see the Ziggmyster end his holdout, hope he got the contract he deserved
Ziggy Jordansson steps away from talking about the Vikings for a few days and his head has regrown to regular size and his headphones fit again. He even sounds smarter.
Tom grossi proved the wearing green thing to be a myth.
Jack has a point. Marshawn lynch Ahmad Bradshaw and ray rice are the only 3 rbs getting paid over 1.5% of the cap and winning a sb since 2009.
I think this is unreasonably narrow. The list of RB1s that have won a Super Bowl since 2009 is pretty close to “who was the RB1 for Tom Brady or Patrick Mahomes.” But of course, lots of RBs making a huge percentage of the cap made it to the Super Bowl (Gurley, McCaffrey, Mixon) and were a large part of their team’s success.
@@ThePaulFarringtonShow cheap running back just has a better “ring” to it
Aaron being a no show is exactly why I never expected or assumed that the Packers would go to the Super Bowl every year. He's a nut job, and a drama queen. Met him in 2007 at Lambeau when he was signing autographs and he started moaning about his right wrist after the the 5th autograph. The Packers never had another Fan Fest after that. Trading him to the Jets was the greatest trade in Packer history! Brilliant!
You have no chance Jack at beer chugging in Wisconsin, we could put in rookies to be honest lol no offense
Jack wearing boxers checks out.
Ziggy!
Super happy as a packer fan Rodgers is gone... All hail gutenkist
You guys have good potential and a bright future as a show but at some point in time you will have to pull the bandaid off and let Jack go for the show to grow. He… isn’t it.
More Ziggy opinion and a lot less Jack opinion please
The average person in Wisconsin can drink twice the amount of anyone in any other state, you don’t understand the drinking culture here until you spend time drinking both here and in other states
has anyone seen that jordan love hype video with him on the beach
Ziggy’s response, and I quote, was “lmfao”. It might be a long season for Vikings fans.
@@ThePaulFarringtonShow that video looks insane we need a video of your reaction or breakdown on the video 🤣
Someone got some color!
Joe Burrow is good, very good, but often unavailable and a bit reckless. Not a ton, but too many picks. 97 tds 37 picks.
Jack on CMC: "I think you could put a lot of other guys on the team to play RB and they'd be just as good." That right there might one of the worst takes I've ever heard 😂
I know a catholic Priest that has 4 cases of beer for his Bible Study lol Jack my guy u are naive lol
If the Packers don't get to the NFC championship game I'll be disappointed being the NFC is so weak
I dont like them starting in Brazil
Ziggy looks like 12 yrs-old….. Clean living and healthy skepticism….
Mccaffery is more valuable than Jefferson
I actually believe the packers, 49ers, and lions all could beat the Chiefs. The Bengals could and I believe the Bills could they've just gotten unlucky and people over react like the Bills can't
There's actually a lot of teams who could. Doesn't mean they will but just like Brady mahomes has had a little bit of luck. Not saying Mahomes isn't amazing but he has had a little luck involved
Jack has gotta be drunk half of these shows what kinda nonsense takes.
CMC had 2000 yards of production 14 rushing tds 7 recieving tds. Behind a middle of the road running back. In an age where you can get away with letting quality RBs go even for cheap deals. And then discounting what a RB contributes by not even mentioned the other teams entire roster.
He had a touchdown in like 15 straight games take those glasses off and look at the truth man. Hes worth that money.
Ask every other team in the league if they would pay CMC 19million a year to get him for the next season. Save for maybe the Ravens or eagles everyone else would jump at that chance
Cali land of the woke
Aaron is always been the bad guy, after replacing Saint Brett? It's still happening.
The Jack "Positional Racism" Weinberg brainrot is real with this one.
Justin Jefferson is the highest paid non quarterback player. How many playoff wins in 4 years? Tyrek Hill was trade from KC to Miami..KC won two consecutive Superbowls after the trade and Miami failed to win a playoff game since the trade. Wide receivers don't win Superbowls
This dude Jack is an all time bozo. Absolute idiotic take on CMC and the guy could not make a quality point to save his life. Literally the first guy I’ve ever seen someone discredit his production, it’s literally undeniable. And no mention of the increase in Salary Cap ($30M), a number that seemingly rises every year. If he stays healthy this will be considered a fair deal, borderline a steal if he puts up MVP numbers again.
Jack should wear a Clown College hat next show because his takes are a joke.
First off, hat story was def a lie. What a weird thing to lie about. Then how sister scratches him? That's not a family activity. Dude is fukin strange.
@ThePaulFarringtonShow Ziggy, now that you’ve got your cheddar don’t start skipping mandatory podcasts like Aaron Rodgers skipping mandatory minicamps. Speaking of ARod, this crap is happening again. Will him missing June minicamp make a big impact on the season? No. Tom Brady wouldn’t do this but he’s a psychopath about winning championships. He got a day in Boston. Look back in the latter GB days with ARod , it feels a little bit different than it does now with Love. Aaron Rodgers isn’t about winning. Sure 2 MVP’s but no rings. Aaron Rodgers is only about Aaron Rodgers. There will be no Aaron Rodgers day in Green Bay when he quits officially.
In 2022, Brady missed 11 days of minicamp. He skipped voluntary workouts in quite a few of the later Patriots years. So, at least in the later years, once he got a lot older, he didn’t go to every workout.
Also, the Packers are already on the record saying they’re retiring Rodgers’s number, so that day will come soon enough.
@@ThePaulFarringtonShow I’m sorry about that the Brady mistake. But after 6 rings, I think you can give him some leeway. The Packers will retire Rodgers’ number, honor him at a game but the City of Green Bay will not give him an official day or name a street after him. Boston, who has more championships the past 20 years than any other city didn’t have to do that for Brady. They wanted to do it because he was the face of the league during his time there.
Jack literally has two brain cells
Deebo Samuel was playing CMC's position a couple years ago(yes he was more receiver than running back but still played a hybrid position). Deebo Samuel didn't want to be in this hybrid position because he didn't want play runningback and get banged up, he wanted to only play receiver and no running back. So they traded for a perfect hybrid position, CMC. So the 9ers really never lost that hybrid position that Deebo WAS playing
And now look at Deebo, he's still good but not as important as CMC anymore and if the 9ers get rid of Deebo they would still be good
I just finished watching the show, Jack is about ready to make me puke. He's got to learn to stop interrupting every time somebody goes to say something. It's referred to as stepping on people . The loudest person gets to talk. It's just plain rude, and it's difficult to watch, but that's just me. Good to see you Zig.
Jack gives the show spice. Ziggy needs hot takes to bounce off of.
