For many, many years I have wondered what the background lyrics were to the "Since you left me" part. Brilliant and energetic. Thank you, Galeazzo, now I can rest since you have resolved this for me. Cheers!
I totally agree with you. It's mindblowing what they were able to come up with at 18 and we often forget that when they split they were about 28... Thanks for the kind words BTW.
That ending harmonies is probably my favorite
Oh man that end harmony is like what makes the beatles.
This is an amazing piece of work! Congratulations on your contribution to help us enjoy and appreciate The Beatles' music and art!
Dez!!!!!
I am glad you all appreciated:)
You're right. How many "oooooooooohs"... fantastic harmonies!!!
Opa Brasil
They were brilliant , brilliant brilliant !! . Thank you for all your work effort !!
Thank you. Your beark downs (disection) of songs show how much work and talent the Beatles really put into many a Beatle song. They were truly master craftman in the art of music!
Your work helps, among other things, to appreciate more fully just HOW INCREDIBLY talented these guys really were!!! Ok, let's forget the instruments - just focus on their voices. With no conservatory training, and honing their skills in dingy cellars, it's mindblowing what they were able to come up with at - what? 18?? (Their grasp of polyphony and counterpoint is instinctually dead on!) And this recreation is...simply breath-taking. Thank you! for posting.
This is perhaps one of my most loved songs by them the power and energy is irresistible. You are amazing. Are you listening to this stuff with a microscope!
Love it!
Stethoscope, I'd say! Totally nailed the essence of what is one of the great vocal arrangement from the early part of the Beatles' stellar career. Always a fave!
Same here. I should be sleeping but I just love watching and hearing these amazing Beatle harmony lessons. There's always more than one little new trick to them.
i didn't realize truly how high pitched paul sand then he went right back into it, damn.
Simply incredible, so grateful to have a resource like this. So helpful. Thank you!
Oh man, thank you so much (from New York, USA). My band is covering this song tonight and this video made learning the background vocal lyrics in the bridge so much easier.
A great rendition of a Beatles “oldie”!
This one takes me back to my high school days and a dances with a local band.....wonderful memories! Thanks!
I AM SO SO SO in awe of your singing I consider YOU the ULTIMATE MUSIC GENIOUS
GREAT ! ! ! YOU SANG ALL THE PARTS WITH PERFEFECTION ! ! ! GOOD JOB ! ! !
Galeazzo this is just beyond great. Can't tell you you how much I appreciate your videos. Have you ever tried analyzing the Four Freshman harmonies?
Your videos are a real treasure. Thank you for your great work!
Well done, Galeazzo. You nailed it. I already knew the parts and came here by accident. But I must admit, your lesson is accurate and valid. Early Beatles vocals were classic and internalized by the band. They worked constantly, gigged regularly and were masters of harmonies, even in the early days.
Man, you are an absolute legend. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!!!!!
Galeazzo Frudea, tremendous---with your accent and all---it is all there---in pieces---great to know that you have sifted through these vocal harmonies----I am also here at CZcams under the name of Hollywood Joe Nania or just Joe Nania - - 130 + videos----thank you again---Joe Nania
Seriously man u are the best. Really the best
Excelentes y brillantes tus trabajos, siempre los veo.

Another great tutorial Galeazzo, keep them coming!
Beautifully Done!
Another amazing tutorial Galeazzo!!!
This takes me to a far far far away place in time when I was sitting in my little room next to my Wincofon player, slowly but surely figuring out those darn harmonies! It used to be frustrating, but not too bad for a 5/6 year old!
Love your work, well done!
Many thanks. Growing up through the 60s with the Beatles and their music, I couldn't help but wonder as to whether they truly recognized, and considered themselves, musical geniuses.
You're great! You can really sing.. The Beatles would be really proud! I wish I could sing as well as you!
After all these many years, I now know what the background vocals are for this tune! Thanks!
Excelentes tus trabajos!
Felicitaciones!!

This is very true. For a lot lot lot more on the complexity and subtlety of the Beatles see Alan Pollacks work on the entire output.
GALEAZZO IS SUPER GREAT SINGER
Very good.
@mimibetinis Ahahahah no, just a lot of hear and patience! I agree on the amazing energy impact of this song.
Bravissimo
freakin great!!!!!!!!!! thanks so much!
Yes I am preparing a downloadable document about all the singing roles for each sentence contained in the lyrics of all the songs I covered.
Hi Galeazzo! Thanks for all your lessons, we use them with my band to work the voices, and it's wonderful! I would like to know which software you use to make your videos, thank you very much for all you do,;-) Christophe ( drummer/lead vocals )
could you do "what goes on"? your vids are amazing!
I've got to get up and go to work in 6 hours, but instead of getting my sleep, I'm watching and listening to you. You are so talented, and I love learning about the harmonies. I have a question: At the end of your video, you show us 5 vocal harmonies. How did The Beatles do that back in the days of only two track recording? Or did they have four track recording back then. Even if they had four track, how did they do five vocal parts?
...Thanks! for sharing your comments. I forgot about George (Martin). That gorgeous clavichord solo on ¨In my life¨ is truly memorable. Great producer, for sure. Even for McCartney, on his solo albums.
Thanks!
Thanks a lot for your support :)
grandioso amigo ,from amsterdam
I love this Song Could you sing all of johns leads ?
My sister wants to know how you find the time to do all of this. I think you must have been playing Beatles for a long time and decided to share it with all of us!!!
Brian Wilson obviously arranged virtually all of the vocal parts for the Beach Boys. I wonder who, in the Beatles, primarily arranged their vocal parts ?
wow I never noticed the ending part has 5 harmonies!!
You sing the high parts always with little effort. Good work! I notice you squeeze between your eyes and nose to create that path for high notes. Is that correct?
Los Ratones say...thank you ...thank you...thank you... Galeazzo !
Ah, I just consulted the White Book and it says, and I think it's correct, the background vocals on the bridge are:
You left me I'm so alone
Now you're coming on home
I should coming on home
you should do some rolling stones too!
Please do I Want You (She's So Heavy)
How do you treat your vocals when mixing? Is the solo John part layered?
watch this : ) watch?v=T19BdIApB_8
Do you know which Beatle does which part?
What software do you use for your videos?
Thanks!
Hello Galeazzo. Very good job on the video. I have a few things to point out. Maybe you will give me your opinion on them:
1. On George's vocals on the bridge, doesn't he sing "Home, you're going home" instead of the "ah-ha" like Paul and John? At least I'm sure I hear the lower vocals singing the same as John's main on that part.
2. On the ending I can really only hear 2 vocals. The ones you identify on the video as 1st and 2nd vocals. I can't heard the 3rd at all (the one where the note doesn't change from the "you"). I can hear the one you identify as 4th, but that's played by a guitar. Same for the 5th one, also played by a guitar right near the end.
Best regards,
Diogo
psRetrogamer they are all there :)
The addtional vocals were overdubbed :)
Overdubbed. They had some space because there's very little instrumentation at the end taking up tracks, so they could strengthen their vocal tracks at the end. Remember, even with four tracks George Martin did some bouncing to free up more tracks (such as mixing several tracks down to one, freeing up space) I did the same thing all the time with my own 4 track back in the 80s. George Martin made the most of what he had technology-wise
a Galeà li mortè che voce che CHAI (senza apostrofo)!! complimenti dovresti fa dei video..!!! ah gia scusa gia l'hai fatti; vabbè complimenti davero, l'oscare te devono da dà, ciao.
Haha! Nice :D
second ohhh yeahhhh
How many Beatles fans know this song ends with a 5-part harmony?
I didn’t ‘til two minutes ago. 😳
No era facil da la imprecion que todo salia espontaneo y magico ,,pero habia trabajo y constancia en el estudio ,,,no era ir y cantar y dale nada mas ,,en fin ,,no facil
0:02:44 Paul's
0:02:10 John's
First!
are you indian?
0:03:22 George's
No Sir Italian.
The Beatles Vocal Harmony “ Are you Indian ? “ You should have told him you were Scandinavian , but played the sitar in a Beatles tribute band :) By the bye . I think this tune buries “She Loves You” In musicality .The descending bridge ,and harmonies on the bridge are so sophisticated for 1963 ( even more so today ) . The penultimate “ Yeah “ where Paul moves up is spot on ,and you caught it . The guy had the goods for a long time ... How are you Frudua ? They just inducted Al Jardine into the Rochester Music Hall of Fame, I think Steve ,and Tony are already in ? Everyone went to the Eastman School at the University of Rochester back in the sixties . Be well .
