Saying a guitar itself has a dirty tone makes no sense. Dirt is gain/distortion. Guitars/pickups don’t make that, amps and speakers make that.
A pickup can be “hot” and naturally distort a little bit cause of higher output electronics but the $1000 guitar has higher output. And for me personally a hot pickup is something I feel in the room more than I hear in a recording.

Gotta say, the Cort X700 is on par with them. The Tagima strats plays like a fender strat.
I used my cheaper/not so well known brands on stage/gig. The difference of $1000 to $10000 is not that big. $1000-$1500 is the sweet spot for a guitar.

Exactly. And then we don´t know about manifacture . if there are some cutting frets, the angle of the neck, the mechanic, if it stays in tune and bla bla bla. But the trend today is comparing a crap guitar with fender or gibson. I´m out....

The 1k guitar has a little more lows and highs but its not a 920usd diffrence in sound, its the stuff we cant hear like the playability and feel, the sound is something you can fix with eqing the amp or summ

  • @benlee803

Well there are a few other things to consider. How much work did you have to do to the $80 guitar to get it to sound like. How often do you have to adjust truss rod in the neck to keep it straight? How long will the guitars sit around before cracks start appearing through the wood that wasn't cured correctly. How long will the frets last. How well do the tuning machines work. With about $300 worth of work an $80 guitar can sound like a $1,000 guitar and feel like it and maybe even last as long. But how will you feel playing it.

  • @renetvedtpedersen5048

Better or different? If you like the sound more open and detailed the second, if not the first. Playablitiy looks great both, though it might just be the skill of the player of course.
