  • I will be showing you how to wrap a stone with hemp string in this video. No glue needed. Wrapping a stone can open the door to lots of creative ideas. This is the first of a couple of videos that I have planned. In the next video I will show you several ideas that I have come up with and the different things we can wrap... even seashells. I love to use different strings also. (yarn, crochet string, hemp string and twine) I also plan to make a video to show you how I made this necklace and how I attach a wrapped gemstone. It really does make a beautiful necklace. We CAN make beautiful jewelry that is original but it does not have to have a high cost. The best part is... IT IS SO MUCH FUN!! They make awesome gifts too!! Don't forget to subscribe so you don't miss anything. Thank you so much for watching!

+Henry Geyser OMG! That music so did sound like that!!! I had to watch it again to pay attention to the music in the background, because I was so intent on what she was showing us to do with the strings! That is so creepy!

But it also sounds like one of those antique music boxes but I get the horror movie side of it to cause thinking of it in those terms it reminded me of a killer clown movie I saw on lifetime movie network then I thought well it sounds kinda like an antique music box in a way too haha 😂

It was slow knotting for me as I had to go the exact opposite to what I usually knot but I got there in the end :)

I just want to say that Crystals have healing powers from way back..
    They are awesome.
I am a Reiki Master and Medium and I also use Crystal Therapy in my work.

This is a wonderful wrap design! you did a great job explaining, the only thing i would suggest is to record the video from behind your hands rather than facing you. Every time you’d say “left” or “right” it was the opposite of what we see in the video, and that can be quite confusing for some folks. which may account for those who thought you “skipped steps”.
Aside from that you did a great job :^D i’ll be checking out your other videos!

I love this idea. I will practice and then make a video as soon as I can. Thank you so much for your suggestion. It is a great one. :)

Thank you so much for this video! I have bigger glass beads but they always never seem to "fit" on the actual necklace so this was so help full..a tad confusing but that's because I have not done hemp in a few months and just getting back into it!

I have another video that explains the cradle a little better if you have trouble understanding that part. czcams.com/video/Hd3B2UsrSus/video.html :o) I hope it helps. It is so much fun making these pendants. Sometimes even a small stone you find in a special place or a sea shell found on vacation is worth making into a special pendant. Once I figured out how to do this I was hooked. hehe I even made wind chimes with simple rocks. Such fun. Here are some of the other ideas I had for wrapping stuff... czcams.com/video/EpP7a05gnyk/video.html Such fun!! Thank you so much for your feedback.

Thank you so much :) hehe The boys are so silly!. They always make me laugh. I have a couple of Tiger Eye gemstones that can be wrapped too. I have been making all kinds of stuff. I cant wait to do more so I can make my next video. I have been busy having fun with the family this week so I am not sure when I will have the next video up. All in its perfect time though. :) There are so many ideas in my head for ways to use this pattern. It may take a little time to make some of them. Fun stuff!!

Yes! They would make wonderful necklaces. :) I have several ideas for things that we can do with our rocks. I am working on all kinds projects so I can put them in a video. The thing that I like about this pattern is that kids can do it too. I used to like to make stuff with string when I was a kid. It is a great way to occupy your hands while watching TV, talking on the phone or just relaxing on the porch. Kids can't say they are bored when they have projects to do. lol Thanks for watching.

Thank you for the videos. They are very helpful. I would also like to wrap quartz crystal points using the same type of wrap. Can you do a video showing us how that is easily done?

James Leader Thank you for the idea James. I will have to see if I can come up with something that will work for the quartz crystal points. :) It is a lovely idea.

Yay!! I LOVE comments like yours!! I still make these necklaces because I can wrap just about any stone and make it into jewelry. Like you, I was SUPER excited when I figured out how to wrap a stone with string. I know I get a lot of flack from people on this video because it was one of my first videos and I was still learning how to make videos... But I was so stoked to show everyone how to do it. Haha Maybe one day I will redo this video but until then I hope you can get the gist of how to make one. Thank you so much for your comment. Many blessings to you. OXOX

Looks like you made several stitches prior to start of the instructions ~ that’s what is confusing to me. It makes it hard to go on because in my mind now we are not tracking, not making the same necklace. Why did you do this ?
