Since 1st century, Orthodox Christians believed Jesus to be God/Divine, then in the 4th century, Arian, a heretic who made a anti-divine Christology doctrine that the Church addressed to him, Mainly, St. Alexander of Athanasius which was held at the Council of Nicaea.

    This helps explain why MusIIms who come to Christ seem to have one thing in common: they are rational thinkers. Most people, no matter what culture they are raised in, are far more emotional than rational. Christianity commands its followers to investigate, and rationally dissect, everything. This is in part what helped build the West. A follower of Christ, talking religion with a MusIim, is like a male mechanical engineer talking about love with an actress: they will talk right past each other, unless the rational one (engineer) puts himself and his thinking in the same place as the emotional one (actress). It will be difficult for him, but it would be impossible for her.

    Muslims will claim that we deny logic when we believe in the trinity by comparing it to saying 1+1+1 = 3. It's like they never heard of unity before in reality, never mind mathematics.
    A great example of unity in maths are the cube roots of unity which deals with complex numbers, this is high school math(I'd suggest for anyone just to take a quick look at it). Its a beautiful abstract concept that's not obvious in nature and almost models itself after the trinity.
    But hey, if muslims wanna use primitive addition, subtraction, division and multiplication to prove their point, so be it. It just shows is Islam was never meant for thinking deeply.

    I very much agree with the historical part of your argument, that Islam has been shielded from intellectual criticism for most of its existence. Christianity has had to deal with the blinding, harsh, often inimical light of modern intellectual scrutiny. They are just now having to deal with literary criticism, comparative studies, psychology of religion, the scientific record, etc. All of these things have been directed against Christianity since they have existed, because they were all born in the Christian West. This has left a cultural hole in Islamic society. They, as a culture, never learned to "question everything" as westerners have been doing since Socrates. Only, in this century, have even Islamic textual scholars been allowed to compare the most ancient (supposedly Uthmanic) Koran manuscripts. Christians have been doing that for over a thousand years!
    I think this is also paired with a willingness to be intellectually dishonest. You will not find many Christian theologians (of much repute) making claims that are knowingly intellectually dishonest. They do not wish to tarnish the Christian message by defending it dishonestly. I know much (too much by some) has been made lately of the Islamic doctrine of lying for the faith, but I do believe on a certain level it is matter of the ends justifying the means.
    Thirdly, there is also the issue of extreme intellectual bias regarding religion. I have just been having a long back-and-forth with a Mormon over the Book of Abraham (which makes the Koran look like a masterpiece of historical and literary integrity). The willingness among Mormons to pass over obvious inconsistencies is breathtaking. They are also taught not to ask questions, by the way.

Muslims, not just the women, are veiled in their thinking and blindly worshipping their sheikhs and imams and 'scholars'. They don't even read and understand and accept the plain words of the Arabic Qur'an. Few of them even know Arabic and fewer know it well enough to understand the Qur'an. This leaves them not following what is in the Arabic Qur'an but the different versions in translation and again the teachings of sheikhs etc that tell them that the Qur'an often means the opposite of what the clear words say. They are truly worshipping their sheikhs etc not even the god of the Qur'an.

    In Arabic, the word pray is (صلى) but the word does have, as almost all other Arabic words, means "bless," and in the tasliyah (that God Pray (in Arabic) Upon Mohammed) the word (صلى), given the Arabic Grammar that you probably don't know a shit about, means Bless not Pray.

    • @IslamCritiqued
      @IslamCritiqued  Před 6 lety +1

      Ahmed Ismail Now, there are several ahadith where Allah prays as well, in at-Tirmidhi if I recall, also in Bukhari the Arabic words for blessings and prayers are differentiated in the same Hadith. And, as I mentioned in this video, the word is translated overwhelmingly as “prayer” in the Quran, with the exception of this and one other time in Surah 2 where Allah “prays” again. So it is, at the least, a very odd grammatical choice given the overall context of how the Arabic lemma is used elsewhere. Now, you’ve said it doesn’t meant pray, ok, I would like to hear why you think this grammatical choice was made over baraka.
      I do not know Arabic, only Hebrew, which obviously has some similarities. And I do have access to tools that allow me to search various lemmas and roots in the Quran.
      Now, that said, my point is not really about that. I know Muslims don’t believe that Allah prays. My point here is to highlight the atrocious interpretations that Muslims have of the Bible- and they think they’re doing it right. It’s absurd. So I’ve tried several approaches to address this topic, this video is one of them: “You don’t like when I do this to the Quran? Then stop doing it to the Bible!” That’s the message here.

    • @ahmedismail6916
      @ahmedismail6916 Před 6 lety

      No, it's NOT "grammatical" choice. And while Hebrew might be kinda similar to Arabic, but the Arabic grammar is like no other on Earth.
      To the other part of your answer, well, your Bible and Trinity is the one that is obscure.
      Throughout the video, you've been saying that Islam is "incoherent." Well, no, it IS coherent. Islam: one god, no sons, no wives, no any sort of partners.
      In fact, the Trinity is the most absurd concept ever. Aside from its complexity and absurdity, wasn't the term "Trinity" coined long after Jesus was allegedly crucified? I mean, Christians didn't have a well-established religion till the 2th century by Justin Martyr. The term Trinity is NOT in the Bible, nor it's even clear.
      The other thing around is that Christianity grew, firstly, as a sect of Judaism. Then, knowing that Jews have always worshiped one god, early Christians wanted them to worship Christ. In other words, Christianity does acknowledge that Judaism is right, while there are major differences between Christianity and Judaism: Yahweh/Allah has always been the only god for Jews, but when Christianity came, it said we will "add" his "son," Jesus, to be worshiped. Is this rational? If Jesus is god and wanted Jews to worship him, they why didn't Jews do this from the very beginning, knowing that all prophets in Judaism has called for worshiping only one god; by the logic Christianity views Judaism, Jesus, as a god, didn't want Jews to worship him, but once out of the blue he decided to be worshiped by everyone!! LOL.
      My other point with Christianity is that a god is killed; this is absurd. The way Christianity describes how Jesus was allegedly crucified is weird: he was dragged, tortured, insulted and finally killed; this is literally an insult on a simple human being who has a little bit..just a little bit..of dignity, let alone somebody that is considered “god.” This is literally in complete odds with how a god can be in almost every single religion on planet Earth. There’s literally no religion on Earth whose god was insulted by his worshipers other than Christianity.
      Another point for me is Jews and Judaism in Christianity:
      Many Christians, especially the Evangelicals, literally worship and consider the Jews -- who totally reject,criminalize Jesus, and think he's a son of adultery, and don’t believe he’s the Messiah and, according the Christian narrative itself, they killed him -- as god’s “chosen people” and that they were “promised” the land by the lord, who’s Jesus. Apart from the hypocrisy and irrationality here of glorifying the Jews, whilst Jews themselves reject Christianity and Jesus altogether, who is the god that has “chosen” and “promised” the Jews?? I mean, isn’t Jesus the god in Christianity, right? Yes, he’s. So, how is that Jesus, since he’s the god and the lord, has “chosen” and “promised” the Jews, while at the same time, Jews themselves totally reject him and consider him a heretic?! So perhaps, you can see my argument.
      In fact, I DO find Judaism, in terms of the concept of god, far more logical than Christianity.

      @IslamCritiqued  Před 6 lety +3

      "No, it's NOT "grammatical" choice." ---> Now wait, I thought you were going to teach me some Arabic? And it IS a grammatical choice. Why is the root translated "pray" so many times in the Quran, except for this time, in 33:56? Please give me the grammatical reason that some scholars translate it "blessing" and some, like the scholar I cited in this video, translate it "pray".
      "but the Arabic grammar is like no other on Earth." ---> Excellent, give me 3 examples of Arabic grammar that are like no other on earth please.
      If you want to talk about the Trinity, you need to watch my discourse on Trinitarian Monotheism video first. You don’t have the background knowledge to discuss this at this point. Here’s the video- czcams.com/video/ObtYkLHu_CM/video.html
      “Trinity” isn’t in the Bible? Oh come on. “Bible” isn’t in the Bible either. "Tawhid" isn’t in the Quran. You pretended to be an intellectual schooling me in Arabic grammar and now you’re offering the same old second grade level “Zakir Naik” objections as everyone else. Consider your line, "So, how is that Jesus, since he’s the god and the lord, has “chosen” and “promised” the Jews, while at the same time, Jews themselves totally reject him and consider him a heretic?!" You said "totally"? Are you kidding me? Have you read the book of Acts and the thousands of Jews coming to Christianity very early after the resurrection? Where is this "total" rejection you speak of? In fact, the catalyst for their conversion was that they were able to recognize Jesus as God and still be monotheists because they were primed by the divine plurality language in the Old Testament (see video above) and in their own writings as well! There is no much you simply don't know. Watch my video above for a start.
      Or consider this line, you say "god is killed" in Christianity. Again, another childish objection. "Death" does not mean "to cease to exist" in neither Muslim nor Christian theology. So what's the problem? Further, you do not account for Christian doctrine as clearly laid out in the text- God took on flesh, John 1:14. Two natures- a divine nature and a human nature. This objection is as bad as the unitarian/trinitarian objections I talk about in this video. If you ask "square" questions of a circle, it won't make any sense. This is why Muslims like yourself think Christian theology is incoherent. But you're too blinded by your ideology to realize your methodology is flawed- Islam Hinders the Intellect.

    @Love kingdom of Believers.
    You don't know what you are talking about. I also doubt If you understand the Mission of the Messiah(Christ) from the Torah perspective:
    The Qur'an in "the Qur'an" refers to the Law of Moses. If you couldn't figure out the "title Qur'an" on the cover of the book is a fraudulent one, then it is safe to argue that you don't understand its content.
    "We have given you the 7 oft-repeated verses and the glorious Qur'an..."
    Translation:
    We have given you the Fatiha and the Law of Moses as the basis for your legislations in rejection of the Roman Law, the papal sacraments, and Trinity.
    Here is another one:
    "What! If this Qur'an is from God you believe not but a Rabbi among the Children of Israel attests to its similitude and believe while you proudly reject it..."
    Does this look like some words from God? What was the Rabbi doing in Mekka messing with Allah's revelation? LOL...
    Or was he just comparing two translations of the same Torah, one in Hebrew and the other in Arabic?
    The dude was a Prince-Legislator, a Founding Father, and a statesman.
    "And the stone rejected and exiled by the Mekkan builders had become the cornerstone; it's our Lord doing.!!"
    FALSE REPELLENT !
    Jesus is Muhammad(the Praised-One), fools. A point was made but you guys missed it altogether due your poor reading skills.
    But the adults and the Sufis in the room know that Muhammad is not a given or personal name but a substitute title, a euphemism for Christ/Messiah. Since Jesus is said to be that Christ, then Jesus is Muhammad.
    We make the difference between Islam and the Arab-Qureishites propaganda contained in the Hadiths, and the "Sira Rassul Allah," etc...
    That marketing gimmick was meant to capitalize on the pilgrimage to Mekka and not as historical facts. Kaabahism therefore is not Islam!
    For the "stone that the Mekkan builders rejected and exiled had become the cornerstone..." and it is our Lord doing.
    We also know that when someone promulgates a Constitution like the Constitution of Medina, receives embassies, passes legislations, proclaims a tax Codes, raises armies, signs treaties, etc... with some neighborhood nations, etc..., that person is in a role of a Founding Father like George Washington, Emperor Constantine, Cyrus the Great, Caesar Augustus or Alexander the Great, etc... We don't take the word "Prophet" in the literal sense.
    So, If you have ever wondered why a substitute title was needed for Jesus and a name shifting for the Arabian Founding Father, here you have it:
    "Your people don't want to hear about Jesus. And when His name is mentioned, lo! your people burst into clamor thereby..."
    That is why an OPTICAL ILLUSION was created:
    We(the Children of Israel) send you, O Abu Quasim, among your own people so that they may believe in our God and His Messiah/Muhammad/Christ/Al-Massih, help Him, praise Him(Muhammad=the Praised-One), sing for Him evening and morning...."
    "Remember when Jesus asked, "who will assist me in the way of God? The disciples replied: 'we shall be the helpers of God. Bear witness we are Muslims.'"
    By the way, According to Acts 11:26 is a Christian he who believes Jesus to be the Messiah, that is to say Christ, foretold by Moses in the Torah but rejected by Israel.
    "I will send the Christ/Messiah, a Prophet/Messenger like you Moses, Him, they must listen...." Deut.18:15-19; Acts 3:22-25; Acts 7 ; John 4:24-26, etc...
    The word CHRISTIAN was coined in Antioch of Syria and not in Athens, Rome, or Boston.
    In that sense, Muslims are Christians because for Islam Jesus is the Christ announced in the Law and the Prophets, born of the Virgin Mary. You may as well check the Transfiguration in Matthew 17:1-13 where Jesus "oversees" a meeting between Moses the Lawgiver and someone who would ratify the same Law for the Arabs(the descendants of Ishmael). In Genesis, Abraham was promised many Princes for Ishmael.
    So the Muslims are Christians certainly not of Paul's Tradition, yet still Christians but the Americans are not...
    Every American should know, then, that If Jesus is Lord, it stands to reason that Nature's god is NOT.
    Yet, Nature's god in the Jefferson Bible and in the so-called 'Declaration Of Independence" claims just that...
    And this is the official position of the American government because Thomas Jefferson was the 3rd President of the United States and is the one who penned the so-called "declaration of independence" which became the Law of the land in the Constitution.
    Nature's god in the Jefferson Bible inspired the "Bill Of rights" and specially the First Amendment which states that every religion under nature is as valid as the next; this is why polytheism and Idol worship enjoy special protection under Natural Law which pushed out Canonical Law or Sharia Law.
    Nature's god states that Jesus did not resurrect because there is no such thing as resurrection of the dead; men die and worms take care of their bodies and that, most surely, wild dogs took care of Jesus' body.
    Nature's god claims that there is no supernatural, no miracles, no virginal birth, no revealed Law since Laws are a construct of societies and each society makes its own laws in accordance with its need.
    That the Ten Commandments were not revealed and are no better than the Law of Hammurabi.
    For Thomas Jefferson, the Apostle of Nature's god, Nature's god instituted government on earth to distribute rights without responsibility: right to liberty from morality, right to pursue happiness, happiness for all(We wonder how government will enforce happiness which is not a tangible good), and right to life...
    Paul, Jesus-Christ's Apostle to the "Pax Romana," on other hand instructed us that Government was instituted on earth by God to keep order, render Justice for the equality of the Children of God in view of the Last Judgment.
    Nature's god insists that Life stops here and that there is NO immortality: "Let's eat and drink for tomorrow we die, and nothing awaits us after death. Don't be missing out..."
    Jesus said man was born corrupted and can purify himself with the means God put at his disposal.
    Nature's god however holds that man was born perfect but got corrupted by government.
    We wonder If all the jails built across their lands are only for members of government.
    Nature's god is truly Satan who set out to contradict the True God on every single line!
    So If you are an American you should worry about the subversive nature of the American founding documents, America's Nature's god, and the fate of your impious founding fathers who worked hard to mislead mankind away from the Gospel.
    Enough of that circular reasoning.
    Please worry not about Islam; it has been around for more than 1000 years. I am just wondering If America would be around that long...!!! Worry about the disastrous fate of America built in the sand...!!!
