    Great Video. For anyone upgrading the stock pads. There is another 1.5mm thermal pad under the heatsink for the ICs, just beside the inductors

      Mostly of the gpu that has corroded screws or heatsink fins are those used on Mining Rig.. Because they are more likely running 24/7 and they created condensation from the heat of room temps.. If that happenee to your gpu, just remove it carefully..never use a Penetrating oil Spray..that could potentially leak and run to the board and cause short circuit.

    Great video! May I ask how did you put the 2.5mm pads? I dont have a tool to squeeze the 3mm pads, and here in my country they only offer 2mm and 3mm pads.

    Great video. I noticed that you fans are PLD09210B12HH ball bearing.... my fans are PLD09210S12HH fluid bearing. Have I got scammed ? The card was boxed brand new..... the reason I wanted to replace was because they are loud at 45% fan speed. What can you tell me about this please

    • @TakeThatScrewOut
      @TakeThatScrewOut  Před rokem +2

      That might happened probably because gpu are made from different countries..some are OEM's..and they outsource their parts from different suppliers. But they are still legit. They are just not made equal..just like cars. 🙂

      Not sure how old this card is in the vid, but maybe they switched to fluid from BB due to issues, or they just changed manufacturing and got cheaper fans? This is not un common.

    • @Ladioz
      @Ladioz Před rokem

      @@Ryan-re1rs Ball bearing definitely issues. alot of hissing and scraping noises with those bearings. The fluid bearings are much better. The fans still make noise at 40% + fan speed no matter what the bearing is, but atleast at 30%-35% they are silent for sure (with fluid bearing)
      I wasting 50$ trying to replace them with ball bearing ones
