A wonderful masterpiece! When I first heard it, I thought it was about ass😂. But when you really analyze the lyrics, you realize it’s about money. Yamz, in this scenario, represents money. They don’t want to be broke or stuck in the loop of poverty for life, so they are willing to learn how to get their money up, at any cost, and be released from the shackles of Uncle Sam.

I’ve lost count of how many times I’ve watched this video for “Yamz.” I am absolutely obsessed with both the song and video. The scene of everyone at the dinner table laughing and enjoying the food and each other is especially important for me. It reminds me of my dearly departed Nana and all the special times my family shared at her kitchen and dining room tables. Thanks to Masego for helping me keep those precious memories alive.
