I did a similar cleanse long ago. I spent a year sober, and dated myself. I bought myself flowers, went on solo dates with myself. I met my now husband shortly after and I truly think I had shifted my energy to attract a different guy than I usually had dated. I flipped the script of my life and we have been together for 14 years now.

I have become a minimalist. Probably the biggest ongoing cleanse in my life. I started in 2020 (and documented it on CZcams to stick to my goals).
It's the best decision I've ever made. My stress levels and overwhelm have come down soooo much. Now I know who I want to be, I know what I like and I also learnt to spend my money wisely.
Because of this I will (hopefully) be able to buy an apartment at under 25 and that's crazy.
I am able to make my dreams come true so much faster😊🙌

This cleanse sounds incredible and I'm sure it felt amazing doing it. I feel like more people should try it and I'm sure they would see the benefits. I don't drink and I'm in a relationship but every time I take a social media detox it feels great! Great video Zoe ❤

Luckily I don't have problems with the first two, but social media is really hard to cleanse from! And CZcams in general. It's like my daily drug. Having said that, I want to set a limit on that in the new year and just be more mindful about how I spend my time. Prioritizing exercise and healthy eating is top of mind too. This is giving me the extra push to do dry January! I really don’t drink much as is (I’m a 1-2 drinks kind of gal), but I like to idea of completely cutting alcohol out for a month as a good challenge for myself.

Thanks for talking about these vulnerable topics Zoe!! They’re so relatable and made me feel so normal and seen.. I’ve been in a lot of therapy for them and I’ve done some cleanses as well.
What I struggle with is what to do with all the extra time? Lol what did you do that was productive and helpful to fill in the time you used to use to fill a void? Also how did you find motivation to do those things? It’s so hard when you’re in a rut and stuck in your daily habits 😓
oh yes I feel you!! the extra time is kinda scary but also magical ✨ in those months I was spending a ton of time raising maggie and i put extra time into youtube (i was working my 9-5 as well). I also remember watching TV and actually paying attention 😂😂 which was really nice. Also spending quality time with friends and deepening those relationships
There’s a lot of social pressure to be in a relationship and partake in drinking (everything social seems to surround brunch and bars)
i feel you! ive had to let go of many friendships because of this, but i honestly feel better off 🩷

Sad how we in the West have been conditioned to think you need a drink to "have fun". It's called spirits for a reason and why many faiths ban it. It really does nothing for you aside from health issues and eating away at your bank account.
Omg I was on Snapchat just to be cool for this one boy and we were never even a real "thing" just a situationship. I deleted the app years ago and it's so liberating. What a silly game.
