The Immortal songs stage that you watched was Wonderful Confession, so you were pretty close, lol. The song that you asked what was that and you liked it with Moon Byul singing the bridge part was called Better Than I Thought. It’s a b-side from their mini album called Blue;s from 2018. This was the right video, and thank you once again for reacting, I enjoyed every single second of it, and how passionate you were. My name is pronounced Kayla by the way, but don’t worry. I know it’s hard to guess how it’s pronounced by how its spelled, and I’ve had people say much worse, believe me. I hope that once you reach the milestone of watching the Hip mv that you will then react to their Dingo Killing Voice medley, since you’ll know all the songs.

They have an official 'position'. Moonbyul-Solar-Wheein-Hwasa. So almost all the time they are in that position in stages & interviews.
They don't function properly in other positions sometimes xD
You know what's wild, more international kpop fans are just discovering how talented this group is. It's like everyone gets in with the top 8 or 9 (bts blackpink twice exo etc) but once they've gone thru their deep dive and look for more in kpop then they get to mamamoo redvelvet loona etc. I'm basing this on seeing international reaction channels including a lot of mamamoo reactions. It's just my small sampling but I see the trend.
We all know mamamoo are vocal queens.
I think I took weird route from Blackpink straight to CLC, Loona, and RV haha
First I found Itzy since the first kpop I ever heard was last November with Icy. Then after that it was Mamamoo, Twice and Redvelvet in that order. I’ve known about black pink and bts once I looked into kpop and they seemed to be the biggest groups, but I’ve never gotten to know them well. 😊
I started with Mamamoo then dreamcatcher 😅
Heard other first but then went it more with kda/G Idle. Born i' the 90's so i was on my kid days more into japanese music 😅. So for me idle/mamamoo/dreamcatcher and honestly for now have went deep in others discography
it was so nice that you notice how wheein binds everything, she’s really the backbone of mamamoo’s vocals
Wheein's voice always stood out for me but that is because I love a lot of Soul and RnB music and her voice was made for it. I was surprised by Solar cause I did not think a strong loud voice could come out of someone so unexpected. She is so stable and powerful. Hwasa voice has so much colour. and brings in that unique flavour for Mamamoo. Moonbyul is reliable and I do hope she continues to use both her vocal and rapping talent. Rapping isn't easy and she continues to grow and master it. The fact she can both sing and rap is awesome. I often view the girls like this; Moonbyul is the foundation, Solar is the voice, Wheein is the glue and Hwasa is the colour. The thing about this group is they truly do understand that their voice is an instrument and they know how to use it.
Fun fact for you, Mamamoo and Red Velvet are actually friends. Their cars were parked next to each other once, so they just opened the doors and exchanged numbers (since they debuted around the same time). 😂 The most well-known friendship between them likely being Seulgi and Moonbyul. Moonbyul also likes to tease Irene for the fun reactions.
The dream is to one day see who is greasier (cheesier) - Moonbyul or Wendy. 😆 Gosh, I miss MamaVelvet.

However, I'm glad that it turned out this way because honestly Mamamoo would never be Mamamoo if they didn't have the freedom to do what they wish with their own music. Bless RBW for that.

@@gabrielamota6374 it isn’t really that close to how their past songs sound but structure-wise and the laying of the vocal patterns and harmonies, I could say that they are pretty similar! The composition of the song is quite different from the signature jazz sound that mamamoo had but the retro 20s flavor is still there

Hmmm mamamoo never really abandoned their older sound. You’ll probably notice it when you listen to all their songs including their b-sides. You can still hear their older sound in all their albums albeit it has morphed bit by bit since it’s also mixed with the new sounds they are doing recently, but it’s still very much present. An example I can write right now is Better, High Tension from their Reality in Black Album, Dinga and even Travel from their Travel album.

Early Mamamoo sounded the way it did because they were told that they would fail by all sorts of industry professionals and so they had to flex their vocals to the fullest extent. The 4 Seasons project is when they started to change their overall sound and started trying new things. I'm on board regardless but there are a lot of fans who don't like the newer songs because they don't have the same retro sound as the older songs. Of course a lot of fans don't actually listen to the full albums and so they don't understand how much of the older material actually exists. 😂 One thing I would love from Mamamoo is a B-side medley(I know Solar did one but there are a few she didn't get to) because of this. Like, we need a current live version of Baton Touch, No no no, Freakin' Shoes, I Love Too(watch if you need to cry: czcams.com/video/AGjvMOqxeR4/video.html), Finally, Midnight Summer Dream, and a million other amazing songs.
I love Baton Tough and Midnight summer dream! They are such underrated songs.

Solar because of her singing on ballads, esp the ones on Immortal Songs you haven't seen yet (hint hint). Her belting gets the most attention but she's the member who can bring a lump to my throat just by gently bending a note. In Aya they ask whether it's rain or tears. Heaven rains grace notes when Solar channels her inner angel and tears will fall.
Better Than I Thought is the song you asked about. It's from the 4 Season 4 Color album Blue;S. Travel is an excellent album and I'm sure you'll enjoy it but Blue;S is Mamamoo's masterpiece to date, tho it's the most neglected, underappreciated album of the 4 Season 4 Color project by anyone other than moomoos.
Yeah everyone focuses on her power stuff, but I feel like Solar is also the most experimental with her voice. Like, Hwasa isn’t always predictable either but it all just flows out as a natural part of her, but Solar seems to makes a lot of interesting, deliberate choices - and then place it within a strong emotion. I love it.
@@shortdrink873 Yeah, I love that about her. More than the others, Solar alters her tone, style and techniques with each song. As suits her personality, she's the risk taker with the wild imagination. Combine her strengths with those of the others, add bff chemistry, years of hard work and experience, mix well and serve with a smile. 😂

They always stand, sit, walk around, sleep, etc, in those exact same positions. Lmao! RBW gave those to them since debut because it felt the most organic and they've gotten so used to it that they feel very strange and uncomfortable when they are together and aren't in those positions, even Moos feel weird when, for some reason, they aren't. This is a well-known fact and meme in the fandom. Lol.

She was called hated in Korea for her tone skin and also the way she was in stage cuz she was so intimidating for Koreans before. But never for racist things or comments. All of this girls has been very active with minority groups and with lgbtiq community besides the blm movement. ☺️

Solar was turned down by a lot of labels she got her last try with RBW and she was the last member to sign. I think it was destiny that got them together. And bless RBW for allowing them to have active role in their music production process. Especially now allowing them to express themselves individually.

Ah yes, when asked about their roles, RBW CEO, Kim Do Hoon (who they've also mentioned before, is like a father to them), has always said that Wheein is the backbone of Mamamoo. If you watch enough of their performances you see her harmonizing and backing each member the most while they go off, from Solar's belts to balancing Hwasa's tone to harmonizing behind Moonbyul's raps! Ask any moo, and we'll tell you she's easily the ace and the genius of the group
FUN FACT! Moonbyul and Wheein have the EXACT same voices, just on a different pitch! Moos have literally only pitched their solos or their parts in songs and it sounds just like Byul if you lower Wheein's voice, and just like Wheein if you lift the pitch of Moonbyul's voice lol They've even acknowledged it on one of their MMMTV episodes.
Also, yes that was Wendy (and Joy behind her) at the end of the clip. That was the episode rv's Team Rocket and Mamamoo were on at the same time!
Well I know that not all people are gonna listen to all the songs in the album. Most of them probably only heard their title tracks only. Mamamoo indeed still incorporate some of their older sound in their b-side songs. One of many reasons why I love Mamamoo is that they never stick to one specific genre/concept, they're always trying something new. As much as I like their older stuff, I also love and really enjoy their newer stuff as well.

Mamamoo's immortal performances are just gold. They have flexed their voices openly and watching these clips doesn't do justice to their performances. You should and have to react to these because they will show you how well Mamamoo can make any song theirs. I really want to see immortal songs reactions but sadly there isn't many.

It's always fun to see you react to Mamamoo's vocals, this was an awesome compilation video! Solar is personally my favourite vocalist in the group, since I just adore the tone of her voice and her versatility (Along with those powerful high notes, she also has an amazing head voice and lower register). I absolutely love each member's vocals though. They all bring something so unique and special to the table, I can't believe how lucky we are that they all ended up in the same group.
