Todays lesson was funny and much of the American Jokes introduced this time were closely contact with the pronunciation skills. So possibly I guess the man came to the dentist at “two thirty p.m.” (: Endless Thank You Vanessa and Dan. !

Thanks for this hilarious lesson, the man went to the dentist at a time he had a toothache, that why he went to the dentist. May God bless you and your family and keep you safe.

Even fluent English speakers needed the jalapeno joke explained.
Yer. Wots s jalapeno?
I got it straight away 😄😆
Well, if you only heard it without the transcript shown on screen it's quite clear. My mind refused to read " jalapeno" correctly...
Have you ever thought about why nicknames are recalled easier than "official" names? On this lesson you will answer this question. The trick is associate an emotion to the word you are learning. Our memory performs better when we associate an emotion to the content we are learning. Thanks Vanessa for putting this "theory" in practice. Please say hi to your husband and to the babies! Thanks for preparing this kind of material. My English is improving everyday thanks to teachers like you!
I don't know why always I smiled when I see your face, Vanessa. Does anybody agree here?
Yeah me too 😂
I agree. She's so positive and make me enjoy while get knowledge. Awesome

It's all about Venessa frequency- she's conquering hearts, literally Quinn 💚 👑
Tooth hurt-y means its tooth hurts so he went to the dentist. When we pronounce it in american accent, it sounds like the time: two- thirty
😂😂
LoL!! Thank you for explaining
I guess the same as you, 2:30.......ha...ha.
I love English with Vanny! The accent and the topic show definitely that American English can be something very beautiful when educated and humorous people speak it.
I'm an Indian but I can literally uderstand all the silly jokes.I love them and venessa voice 😍🥰🤗
Hey there, I'm also Indian and facing difficulty in getting the last "Rudolph the red" joke. Could you please help me with this one??

Vanessa, I'm an American living in Antalya, Turkey where I teach English. I loved your video so much that I sent it to about 20 students as well as to the English conversation club. You and Dan are great.
My favorite shows are « Seinfeld » of all times and « Married with Children ». I am fluent in English but still love your classes, Vanessa. Live and learn! You are the best!❤️
A Russian guy was driving his car and he saw sign “Fine for parking”.. So he parked there. A policeman approached to him and said: “Fine for parking”. While he was writing a ticket , the driver agreed and exclaimed: Yes, fine for parking!

Hi, from Argentina here. I understood all jokes but one, the one of the jalapeño. It's remarkable how watching US TV series or movies can teach you so much language. I was a Friends fan.
Awesome! Watching TV in English definitely helps a lot! If you've finished watching Friends, how about "The Office"!
I think from these jokes we can learn or increase the vocabularies especially for those who are studying English as their second language. Thanks for this channel.
I didn't laugh at the jokes even after i understood them
But i was laughing at the way your husband says them😂
Watch you from Egypt 🇪🇬
لانهم بايخين اصلا الا تبعيت الاوت ستاندينغ و تبعيت الواب
Absolutely the same with me... i got them all but dont find them funny at all...they are smart though in a way... Dan's face is best😂
هما مش بايخين اوي بس الفكرة ان الألشة لما بتتشرح بتبوخ😂 زي النكت بتاعت الجماعة بتوع المنولوج اللي بيقفوا على مسرح يقولوا نكت سريعة قائمة على نفس فكرة التلاعب بالألفاظ دي، لو مضحكتش عليها في نفس اللحظة خلاص باظت الألشة😂💔
The jokes are pretty corny.
As an EFL teacher I find your videos really professional and totally agree with your approach to teaching and learning a foreign language. Although I consider myself as an "effective user" of English I watch your videos on a regular basis. They are very motivational, natural, realistic and entertaining. During my years of teaching and learning English I have always been looking for the "curiosties" of this beautiful language, such as onomatopoeic sounds of animals and the like; stuff that are hard to look up in dictionaries. One of the undiscovered territories of English for me is the so-called "motherese" words and I could really appreciate you making a video about those special "baby-words" which mothers and fathers use to talk to their babies. Thank you! And keep up with this amazing channel.
i learned english by listening to movies( they aren't dubbed in Flanders but have subtitles) and try to figuring out what is going on without watching
My favorite silly English joke is :
- Why did the girl throw butter out of the window?
- Because she wanted to see butter flies 😁
Can you explain ?
@@priyanshidey4299
The joke lies in the word(s) "butter flies" which has two different meanings:
1. butter that is falling down, you can also say that it is almost as if it is flying (like a bird with its wings) because the way down from the window is pretty long and the butter is in the air for a few seconds
2. butterflies as the plural of butterfly (the animal)
So the girl threw butter out of the window because she wanted to see butterflies. However, because the butter is falling down, it is "flying", meaning that the girl saw butter that flies.
@@cookiecoocie thanks I got it now
The policemen stepped out and realized that their police car had lost 4 tires, now they are looking for the thief tirelessly.

The policemen realized that their police car had lost 4 liters of gas since morning.
Now they cruse around and look if they can find it.
Shouldn't that be 4 tyres?

"Did Delaware her New Jersey?" "Idaho. Alaska."
What was Mississippi's maiden name? Missouri.
I love the silly jokes. Thank you, Vanessa! You're an amazing teacher!

Hi, Vanessa.👋
I'm Japanese learning English.
Your video made me so happy🤣
and I found a similarity with joke between English and Japanese!!
In Japan, two types of joke are famous.
One is called nazo-kake. To use it, two words(or noun clause) are connected with one phrase(predicate), usually thought of as a formal joke(many comedians do it)
The other is called da-jare. You use a phrase or word twice in one sentence in different expression.
Latter is simple and known as a dad joke. A person who uses it usually makes others a bitter smile😅
Well, I want to give you examples of jokes, but it's hard for me😫forgive my poor English‼️
Wow you really are good in English. Your vocabulary here sounds perfect
@@rachelelizabethxavier4390 Thanks for replying ! I'll try more learning and enjoying English ;-)
Hang in there!!
Idk if this person lying about having poor English and actually is fluent or if they use google translate but
If they are fluent at English then good job 😁👍

Hi, I’m Henry Guo. I’ve been spending more than 100,000 hours studying English humor and Western culture and more than 110,000 hours studying Chinese humor and culture. I can supply endless English/Chinese jokes (in English). I’m teaching Chinese language in jokes.
Very useful lesson! Easy to understand. Teachers are awesome. I can understand every word they say...
In my mother tongue, Persian, there's a literary array called Ihaam, using a word with at least two meanings. It's used in all types and generes of literary not just funnies. I like it in romance and love poems and sentences.
Haha,, your husband looks so funny here😂,, I can’t stop laughing ,,
Apart from joke I was laughing by seeing him expression, that was funny lol 😂😂😂
YOU YOURSELF IS FUNNY FOR ME, THANKS OUR TEACHER!
It was a very enjoyable episode Dear Vanessa ❤️❤️
I appreciate your time and effort so much
And Thank You To Your Husband for delivering the jokes in such an amusing way ❤️❤️
Thank Vanessa for your clip. A couple of years ago I tried to watch DVDs or CZcamss about jokes, but I could only saw other people laughing without any understanding. However, with your help, I can understand all of them with a little funny and one big laugh. Hope someday I can laugh at some jokes along with native people.
This is the funniest lesson in CZcams I've ever watched.😂😂😂
You're such a great teacher. I followed your channel for a year and that helps me a lot.💙

Dear Vanessa, these kinds of jokes are very common in Norway too. I enjoy them a lot, but many of my friends think they are too silly. But that does not bother me. By the way, I want to tell you one joke, we have here:
It's not the fart that kills, but it is the smell.
And to explain this joke, I have to explain the word "fart". This means speed, velocity. And the word "smell" means bang or crash. So the whole sentence explains how dangerous it is to drive too fast, as it may result in a collision. (But of course, the english sentence itself means something else😂
Please more of those jokes, they are really funny and helps us to learn without tears.
Till this day, I could not understand why he was always scolded by his parents when he was always out standing in his class.
Thanks a lot for sharing this video with us "your virtual students", sometimes when we decide to study english we never think of ways to tell or even to understand jokes that are common in America, even learning idioms is difficult (but that's another topic), thanks for these huge posibilities of content coming from real spoken english and its daily customs
Outstanding explanation of jokes😁 Thank you 🤗
I wasn't aware I'm so fluent in english. My self estime soars

I literally love the way you're teaching us . I can't thank you enough ❤️
Can you answer my joke question? 😁😂🙉
Hi Vanessa, these jokes are simply amazing! I think the explanation for the last one is that the man went to the dentist's at 2:30 and because he had toothache, the point here is the pronunciation of two thirty/ tooth hurty. It's always a pleasure to learn something new with you. Bye!
I appreciate it, Mrs. Keep on sharing with us such a lovely jokes , particularly those special and rare ones that related to culture. All my love from Algeria 🇩🇿❤️🥀.

I thought french fries was made from Sweden not from France. Hi Maam Vanessa, it's my 10 months of watching your helpful videos to improve my english communication skill and to widen my vocabulary with the said language. Moreover, I would say that after these challenging months, I am improved and it's fascinating that whenever I watch english movies such as disney movies, I understand the dialogue of its characters as well as the native speakers. I hope that more diverse audience would not stop learning because english really change my perception and enhanced myself being a senior high school student.
I wait by heart your lessons Vanessa...thanks for sharing knowledge all over the world ❤
The funniest joke in my opinion is the one with the bicycle.Regarding your last joke there is one quite similar:wife ask the husband "what time it is" and he says "too thirsty"
