Dr. Ryan Thank you, for all the lectures.
You’re very welcome!
@@mentaldental I actually have a question. I understand the concept, I'm more curious. So let's say we have an upper jaw, missing # 7, 9 and 11. That would be still class 4 Kennedy and based on rule # 8 there would be no modifications. Is there any specificity when it comes to missing one tooth or more at that case.
Again appreciate for everything you do, I've been following you for a long time. ASAP become a licensed dentist I'll visit your PayPal.
Thank you for the support! I want to clarify, does the patient in your question still have tooth #8?
@@mentaldental Yes that is correct # 8 is present.
Thanks
Hey Dr. what about class V and VI? for the Kennedy Classification

أنا من العراق أنت رائع دكتور مبدع في الشرح ❤❤
thank you for this video
You’re welcome! 😊💯
Very nice 🌷
i have a question about this case 6:20, what if instead we had posterior teeth in that case, would it be considered class III because it does't cross the midline ?
Sir can we take class 1 as class 2 modification 1?
Hi Dr. Ryan. Thanks very much for the great videos. Now, imagine these teeth are missing:# 6-#8 #9,#10,# 11, _ Now based on the rules, the most posterior edentolous area can be considered as either the BES of # 6 or the other area. How can we classify this situation? Because of the midline crossing, there should be a modification for class IV. Shouldn't be
? This problem has always been occupying my mind
😅
Please make a video on all the classifications of partially edentulous arch
Hello dr Ryan. I’m confused with the very 1st practice photo. I consider that photo BES on both sides so it’s bilateral, and equal most posterior edentulous area. I was thinking Class IV since it’s bilateral BES.
Are those that crosses the midline, only the ones considered as Class IV?
Thank you in advance for clarification.
Bilateral means it crosses the midline (one bounded edentulous space that occupies both halves of the arch). That practice problem involves two separate "unilateral" bounded edentulous spaces.
millioooooon LIKE
Dr. Rayan, please I have a question! What if we have only one healthy tooth in the arch. Let's say for example we have the lower right 1st premolar. How would we classify this arch by kennedy?
P.S. you're videos are so informative!!! Greetings from Libya 🇱🇾🇱🇾
Good question! The most posterior edentulous area determines the classification, and since there’s only one tooth, that just leaves two large distal extensions. So it’s just a Kennedy Class I.
@@mentaldental okay got it, thanks a lot Doctor Rayan!!
Why 2nd practice question is not consider as a class 4?!?
Because according to Applegates rule no 8 , class 4 cannot have any modifications and we have to consider the distal most extension..
Dr. Ryan, sincere apologies but this has been quite frustrating to view lots and lots of commercials in between the lectures which has enough potential to cause distractions, NOT sure if you would please minimise them or control the frequencies. Thanks for your considerations.
