- The New South Wales government will introduce new domestic and family violence policies in coming days in a bid to address the rise of violent crime against women.
Acting Premier Prue Car alongside key government ministers met prominent advocates ahead of yesterday's announcement.
The state government says the new initiative will focus on medium and long-term solutions.
“We need action right now,” NSW Deputy Premier Prue Car said in a press conference.
“We need to assess that in terms of what do we need to do in the immediate, medium, and long term.”
Aren't there already laws that criminalize assault? Oh, I forgot, they want preferential treatment rather than equal treatment🤦♂️

Labor’s election strategy is now apparent - they’re going to weaponise female neurosis over the random acts of male violence.
This is an ‘empathy meme’ that they are going to run with to the next election in order to monopolise the female voters attention to an issue, which is an endemic issue and one which is actually on the decline.
’Violence against women’ is going to be used to drown out all other issues - issues that actually have a chance of having real world solutions - like housing affordability and immigration.
It is a strategy every bit as cynical and dishonest as Labor’s us of Brittney at the last election to be the manufactured lightening rod to weaponise female empathy and neuroticism.
Real political problems are going to be ignored in order to fuel and weaponise the angst of the matriarchy.

Cost of living has been going on for awhile now but they woke up one day and decided to use the murders committed by one homeless, shitzo man to "fix" a problem....which affects very very few people. Also, cost of living pain has to occur if inflation is to be reduced. Thats the whole point of it. To STOP people spending.

DV against men is real but how many or murdered by their partners? All DV cases should be handled the same way, regardless of gender

"Children are subject to domestic violence" ........if you look at the evidence, most of that is committed by the mother. Mothers also commit infanticide in higher numbers to Fathers. (But 50/50 between males and females)

I wish the left would apply the same standards they hold for domestic violence to all other forms of crime. Perhaps then they would either A) realise how discriminatory they are being by casting a shade over all men for the actions of a few or B) accept that there are certain biological and demographic truths about certain groups of people which mean that they should be treated differently so as to stop genuine or unnecessary harm coming to others in the community
