It's time to learn how to shift gears on a dirt bike with a clutch so that you don't hear a CLUNK and ruin your transmission quicker.
The steps to shifting gears on a dirt bike are simple, but you must learn how to precisely do them so that you can quickly shift up or down.
Motocross Hideout is my personal brand to help new riders learn to properly and safely ride a dirt bike so that you don't crash and miss out on life because of an injury. My Virtual Dirt Biker School is an online riding course/camp that teaches anyone new to dirt bikes the basic techniques to stay in control and become a better rider faster. I've taught many first time riders over the years, both guys and girls, young and old.

You're welcome - let me know how it goes!
When you let go of the clutch after shifting, can you just instantly release it or does it need to be gradual?
You can try gradual, but after you practice, you'll find that just an instant release works as well :)
I want to get a Yamaha yz125cc 2 stroke as my first dirt bike im 5”9-5”10 do you think it will be good? And where can I find a cheaper one
Get one from this decade
The YZ125 is a fun bike, but if you've never ridden before then I highly recommend choosing a beginner friendly trail bike.
The YZ125 has snappy power, a tall seat and stiffer suspension, all making it harder to learn on. It would be easier to build your confidence on a TTR230 (if you're sticking with Yamaha).
