I just don't comment often, but I always like your videos. I wish I could find other channels that take your approach. I've searched and searched to no avail. It is so refreshing to watch someone real. No silly, unrealistic cringeworthy gimmicks. 🙄
Just pure, REAL family life. I can't even express to you how much I enjoy it and appreciate it. I just love you and your family. Goya is super popular in Florida. I always try to buy this brand over others for two reasons: I've never been disappointed and I support the company's philosophy on family values.
That Goya yellow rice is our absolute favorite boxed rice! I add drained black beans, a drained can of corn and a lightly drained jar of mild salsa. It can be a great side to tacos or a meal on its own!!
Pam says- When I was a kid we had Italian salad all the time. Lettuce, tomato, and cucumber with oil and vinegar dressing. If we were out of tomato, mom would use a can of cut green beans. Seeing you chop cucumbers brought me back there. 😎
Hi Jennifer, loved this video with the kids in the kitchen. Home economics are so important for youngsters to learn those basic life skills. I am sure Peter is destined to become a chef as he has a real passion for cooking, and Maria is such a wee joy to watch too and so confident with her knife skills! Joseph always brings a smile to my face, he is so funny sometimes. I have 2 family members with down's Syndrome and they have brought so much joy and happiness to everyone around them. Baby girl you need some flavor in your life lol I’m from NY relocated to WI 🇪🇨🇨🇴 Goya’s headquarters is in NJ as we have many Latin Caribbean’s & South Americans on the east coast. If you have a Woodmans nearby in their freezer aisle you can try Goya goodies from Cuba, Puerto Rico, Colombia, Peru/Ecuador etc. Enjoy 💕
No Woodman’s for miles and miles, but we liked the rice.
@@acountrylife You can try making it fresh & adding flavors. If your local supermarket carries Goya brand Pre Boiled rice 🍚 or any brand. You can CZcams Puerto Rican Rice w/ Pigeon Peas(gandules) Or red kidney beans(habichuelas) or add polish sausage If you can’t find the cooking ham. If you like yellow style rice. We usually use Achiote which is the melted seed from Peru & Ecuador or you can use Goya brand Sazón Goya for the coloring usually half a packet ☺️

I finally got around to buying cookbook volume 2. I went ahead and ordered another copy of volume 1 just because I wanted a nice, fresh copy to match the second one. :) I love supporting you and your channel!
I have had these shelves for years! I love them, I use them for my food storage too. You can also buy some plastic sheets that fit over the shelves so that if you put your jars on them, they will be stable. :)

I love the way the kids help in the kitchen. It is awesome to see them learning to cook, I think it's very important for everyone to learn. My husband can't boil water, haha, if it doesn't go in the microwave he would starve.

I love cucumbers! Never heard of creamy cucumbers! I will have to try them.
My hubby loves creamy cucumbers. His Grammy made them.that way. I just made your seasons wings yesterday. We enjoyed them so much.
I have a cucumber salad I make with the mini pickling cucumbers, Vidalia onions sliced thin & sour cream, s&p, maybe dash of sugar.. I could live on it in the Summer! It's better the next day after chilling in the fridge, just add more cucumbers as you eat it down.

Hi Jennifer, I noticed you have a few Reinhart boxes on your shelf! That's cool! I see their trucks quit a bit! Down here in Tennessee, they deliver to Burger King and Sonic! Maybe even Dairy Queen! Not sure on that one though!

I was just watching a Christmas video of Peter and Maria playing hockey Dec 2019. They were using a broken dirty doll as a hockey puck! You & Maria called it that & it made me laugh 😂😂 broken & dirty/whack!! Funny kids

Yay, another meals of the week! They all looked great plus it is fun getting to see recipes from the new cookbook come to life. We are due some cooler weather soon (yay!) so in addition to making some soups I'll have to make some pot pies...I have cute little pie plates to make them in individual sizes similar to the little store bought ones. Homemade venison pot pie looks so good! Even if falling apart a bit, I am sure it was delicious, and much, much better than any frozen store bought pot pie.

Hi Jennifer. I make my wings in the air fryer but I have the page marked in my cookbook to try them in the oven ala Jennifer. It is always nice when I can spend time with the Brockmans. Denise, I want to try wings in my air fryer, just never do because I’d have to learn a new way. I’m sure it’s easy enough though.
I have three shelves for my pantry and craft room. They are really the best shelves out there!
So far it’s working great.
@@acountrylife they are very sturdy. My brother took a metal piece and screwed the shelves to the wall so they won’t tip.

Hi. I don’t know if you have ever tried this but we drain the venison and put it in foil and put bbq sauce over it. Wrap it up and bake on 350 for about 30 minutes. Makes wonderful bbq sandwiches. We serve it with slaw and pickles.

I've never tried Goya products. Mahatma has a yellow rice in a sleeve very cheap & it's delicious.
Thank you for some great ideas and the permission to make something from scratch and it will be ok if not our own version in our heads as to what would be considered perfect! It is nice to hear that sometimes. I love your videos!
I have the same shelves and I put the locking wheels on so I could move it if needed love them ! Also have origami shelves for larger totes 🤗

I make my cucumber salad always with a vinegar and oil dressing and I can’t make enough of it, they devour it but they few times I have made it creamed, it didn’t go over very well, so I don’t even try anymore
I remember my grandma making a vinegar/oil dressing. It was good.

It must have been the year for so so green beans. My pole beans did not do well this year at all but we replanted with a bush bean crop and they are rocking it . Hopefully get to can some . I have both of you cook books and really enjoy seeing you cook from them. Inspires me to give them all a try . 🤗

Can You post how to do cranapple sauce?
I do regular sauce, but add a couple handfuls of cranberries to the apples as they cook down. I don't add too many because we don't want to add any sugar to our cran-apple sauce.
My kids like cucumbers sliced with sour cream, garlic powder, and salt. They sprinkle the spices then dip into the sour cream. Our cucumbers were so bitter this year though that we only got to enjoy a few before they turned inedible. Our chickens are eating well though. (Silver lining am I right?)
Interesting you say your cucumbers were bitter. I had a higher than normal amount of bitter cucumbers too.
