Thanks for making this video Lauren. Can you please do more cutting out and interfacing videos? Having properly cut and interfaced pattern pieces make all the difference when sewing bags. Lastly, thanks for all you do to educate & support the online bag making community, I so appreciate you. You are an amazing CZcams content creator :)
Thank you Tammi! If you search my channel I have a ton of lives that are cutting and interfacing as well as tutorials for it!
It’s like you are reading my mind...my MIL asked for a wallet to go with her bag (I decided on the Alaine and the NCW). I’m sitting here watching sew alongs for research- (the interfacing materials vary in many videos)....and this popped up. I trust your knowledge in this area the most. Thanks Lauren ❤️
My lord that is absolutely gorgeous fabric!!! What an amazing fabric designer and pattern designer you are! I can now make my NCW out of all fabric. Thank you so very much for doing this for us!!!!
Thanks for sharing. Cutting and stabilizing are so important and you just made my day!!!!!!
Pretty sure I can finally get started on my 1st NCW. Lol its only been a few years since I purchased the pattern. Thanks for this nudge..ya killed my last excuse 😏
I love your fabric! I like the way fabric actually holds up better than leather/cork on an item constantly used.
Omg yes!!! My birthday today!! It funny because I was actually think about this process..Thank you Lauren!!
Like the idea of tape to hold interfacing in place
Very pretty fabric 🤠
Thanks Lauren, I’m not sure how I missed this video, Thanks so much for doing it, what great timing as I’m about to do my first wallet. That fabric is gorgeous. Would love to see the finished project. Going to look and see if I missed that as well lol
Thank you for sharing your knowledge and talents with us!
Thank you for the tutorial.
I don't like wallets, yet I'm enjoying this. Go figure.
I love that fabric! ❤️
thanks for this video. ❤️
Would have loved to see you sew it as well was doing it all step by step as this was my first.....your vid came to an end and I have no idea what to do next
I do have other videos on this wallet ;)
@@LaurenMormino hey thanks for responding, does it have a specific title, as I have gone through 12 months of your videos, so far yours was the best to follow but lol kind of stuck now as can’t find the follow up vid.
@@LaurenMormino can I please have the link ?
you are the best!!! One question - you are saying craft fuse - but then also (seemingly) using "craftfuse" interchangeably. I bought both - but the craft fuse (which is labeled Pellon 808) is thin, crips, like heavy paper - and the 809 is Decor Bond and much thicker :-( I am trying to follow you exactly and am not sure how to proceed. Here is what I wrote down Flaps = 101 then decovil light, body out = 101, body lining = 809, card pockets = 809, 2 zip pockets = 809. Question is - are these 809? Or did you want me to use craft fuse? If you have any time to answer I will forever be in your debt - as if I am not already......
I mean 809
@@LaurenMormino Thank you so much!! I know how limited your time must be so I truly appreciate the response!!

Thank you for doing all the great work of teaching but I Just purchased this pattern on yesterday but while watching you cut some of the pieces don't look the same yours seems to be larger. is there a certain way you print it on printer or do I have to purchase the plastic one ??????
It’s possible yours is just a cut on the fold piece. You can print it out twice to make it a whole piece, instead of cutting on the fold
@@LaurenMormino Ok will try to do that thank you so much for getting back with me. Thank you for your time
Thank you so much for this video. Interfacings can be daunting at best. 149 degrees Celcius or Fahrenheit?
Never mind - I'm brain dead today. 149 degrees Celcius is about 300 degrees Fahrenheit. I want a heat press.
Thank you so much Lauren.
I like to use african print fabrics and i plan to do NCW with that fabric.
Could you please tell me if your cotton fabrics is quilting or Canvas? Thank you and take care of you plus one😘
It feels like a luxe quilting cotton.
How do you get the craft fuse not to wrinkle? Mine always looks like crumpled paper.
Could u please tell me what kind of apparatus u use to hold ur camera in the middle of ur chest? Is it a phone u r filming with? Thanks in advance. Luv ur videos
I’m just standing behind a tripod
Where can I get the template for ncw
Two things so 808 and 809 are the same except for width?? And change that blade in your rotary cutter, I find people who have disdain for the rotary also have a dull blade. And yours looked and sounded double d dull. 🙃
I can try but it’s been cutting great! Yes that is correct
How heavy is deco in light
Can a rotary cutter be used, or are the templates not thick enough?
I love your templates! how do you make them?
I purchased them :)
Are both main pieces lined with 809?
Have you found the new 809 weird, mine bunches up in creases
Oooh I haven’t bought 809 in at least 2 years so I’m not sure! (*i bought 4-6 bolts a few years ago)
How did you make those templates?
I purchased them from topsandbobbins.com
How do you get the templates in hard plastic?
I’ve just seen now thank you. Just need to find somewhere in the uk x
What is the difference between SF-101 and 809?
101 is a woven interfacing - 809 is a non woven interfacing
Woops forgot my question in my comment below. Do you do the same interfacing on the mini NCW?
I would yes!
I need a heat press
It’s seriously a game chanher
measurements would be good please.
I cannot give measurements. They’re part of the pattern so you have to purchase it to know the measurements
Sweetheart do you carry lining in your shop.
You could use the woven fabrics I sell as lining but no I don’t carry “lining” fabric.
