The Smartcap is actually fairly cool and the pricing is not insane. Its a little spendy, but its not crazy. My buddy just spent $4500 bucks for a standard fiberglass shell from Snugtop with basic upgrades. Thats more than their Sport and Adventure lines.

The Smartcap accessories/options look great, glad to see someone innovating with caps, bed racks look cool on mall crawlers but super impractical with dirt, theft, weather. You can find plenty fiberglass caps that will support a rooftop tent, just need to get the C (commercial) versions, aka the Leer 180C etc.
I can attest it’s not. I’m 5’9” and can stand up fully, plus the light nature of the interior makes it feel open. The double doors are great, too. -Corrie
