This Ganondorf was always the villain that I found to be sinister and very cool. I mean, the dude is playing the organ for you as you make your way to top of the tower! He’s got some Dracula vibes for sure.
Hey Asriel Dreemurr, is pretty chill to you know he probably could use his reality warping, and godly powers to attack you while in the menus of your turn, but he doesn’t he just waits there floating around for you waiting for you to select your options, and even though he’s evil in the fight he actually compliments you, and sees you equally until he gets to cocky going against his words since he tells you not to be.
There should be a mod where he's doing lines of coke when Link shows up.

This is the greatest game created along with majoras mask! I enjoy reading dialogue. It made me quite the intelligent kid. Also problem solving and finding Easter eggs was awesome. I believe Zelda is one of the first games with actual Easter eggs

At least we had the Shadow Temple, Ganondorf puking blood, and a Ganon monster who only his eyes you could until the lighting struck or when he was brought down . They got Cartoony Wind Waker and Skyward Sword. Baby Zelda games. BOTW was also cartoony to some degree.

2:13 He displays the strength of his power before the actual fight has started. Awesome. Also love the detail of his cape getting torn by Link's strikes. Only criticism is the fight is why too easy, even the final form.
True, I wish the final form with charge and dash at you if you get too far away instead of just chase you, that would be epic
honestly for the time the motion to his swing upwards to strike down at the beginning of the fight was impressive for the n64 and always will be, really outlines how detailed animations were getting by the end of production

This is the Ganondorf that will always stick out in my mind. The embodiment of evil. Menacing and full of arrogance before the fight, his eyes full of contempt and murderous hatred at the two rebels who held the treasures he desired. Full of shocked, disbelieving rage that this insignificant "insect", this "kid" who he tricked into opening the Door of Time 7 years ago and used to bait and trap Princess Zelda, had beaten him- him! The Great and Powerful King! This was supposed to be the third time that he had taken advantage of Link (this time to obtain the full Triforce due to Link's perceived recklessness), but this time his plan failed due to his underestimation of Link, the Hero of Time. This was the first time he acknowledged the hero by his name, and the second time would be after his hatred and rage literally resurrected him and transformed him into a monstrous beast.
YiftertheShifter1 That is, cause this is the very FIRST Link he met and fought. That's why he keeps calling you "Boy" cause he thinks, he has all the power and says you're just a "Kid". He loses at the end, then he's very cautious of Link after he underestimated the Hero of Time.

See I’m writing his chapter now that fills the gaps in the story line of Ocarina & making it so Ganondorf does have a reason to be evil bc remember in the original timeline Link does go back to his original time & what happens to the Gerudo race by the time the next Link gets to Wind Waker? They don’t exist anymore so I believe that starts another war when the hero of time disappears from the scene in Majoras mask. So I’m writing it with that spoiler in mind & man is it a blast! It’s gonna get gritty & I am READY! Lols 😆

@@BurgerSoup Tennis is a terran, not hylian, game ganandorf. You have 2 people on opposing ends of a small field. You then have to hit a small, light ball over a net about 2 meters high. The person that gets a point is who got the ball to land on the opposing side. That is the basic description of tennis.

After years of playing the game, requiring multiple returns after getting stuck at seemingly impassible points of the game, I finally got to the stair climb here and thought, this is it. I was excited and nervous all at the same time and joked to my brother to let off some of that energy, "What if Ganondorf was actually playing the organ and it wasn't just background music?"

@@joshshrum2764 playing last year, me 19 , struggled to find the first sword , struggled to find out you could move graves, struggled to know you have to arrow the pictures in forest temple, struggled to find out i could climb that fence in the Goron temple, didnt have trouble in water temple outside of being hella confused for 5 minutes in the shadow link area until it jumpscared me. Struggle to find out i had to go back in time to get in the well but i was proud to realize myself with the windmill guy. Hated the shadow temple.
The only times i asked for help were the sword, the grave, and the goron wall.
I dont know if i loved or hated the game, it was a bittersweet gameplay but i was happy to finally play it.
Now Majora's Mask is getting my nerves again.
@@antonto1 Currently emulated(and beat) both Majora's and Oot and I must say I struggled with almost the same you said lol, with the exception of the goron fence and the sword. I think is fun but some of the puzzles are hell. You should know it by now I think but damn Stone tower and the zora's mask boomerang fin aiming at some golden skulltulas on a tree and chandelure is no fun at all, for me atleast.

This is so impressive for the time it came out.
Ah, nostalgia. This was THE boss battle back in our day.
This is always such a fun boss fight I usually look forward to when playing this game.
I especially love how badass it makes you feel once the fight starts to become easy, I've managed to beat him in a mere minute with the equipment and strategies I use.
Acquiring game dev experience gave me a new appreciation for the graphical tricks used in fifth-gen 3D.
Here, a simple fog effect is used to complement the textures with a fiery orange, which looks good and contrasts against Ganondorf's silhouette.
Then when Ganondorf attacks, the fog fades to black, which fakes the room going dark. This also contrasts the fireball against the background, so as to better inform the player.
This game holy shit I got it for my birthday. Changed my life.

You can do fight even quicker. You only need 1 light arrow. Jumpslash with biggoron sword and do well timed crounch stabs and he is dead.

The sound is so good here, also the feeling of been like in a cage and you cannot run anywhere but fight Ganondorf. I mean, compared to the final fight in BOTW, this one is better by a lot.

Whenever Ganondorf throws an electrical ball, you can hear him say "Link!" very faintly, but I love that feature honestly.

It may sound weird for a video game, but I've always thought the cinematography of the cutscene at the start is really good. Especially the snap zooms towards Zelda in her imprisoned state.

THIS is the path that Nintendo should have taken with The Legend of Zelda franchise; building off of the dark menacing theme of Ganondorf and the consistent, courageous hero in Link. Instead they've backpedaled to a more kid-friendly theme (Twilight Princess aside) and seem to be content with it.
Alas, this was an epic battle, with a nearly flawless embodiment of a musical score. Miyamoto and co. did a great job...and to think, this was released in 1998.
Sammie Johnson play windwaker. I played it on the Wii u remake. It is different aesthetically but just as good story, gameplay, and fun as ocarina of time. All these games are masterpieces for their time.

To be somewhat fair, this wasn’t exactly all that much source material to work with at the time of Melee’s development, which might be why he wasn’t put in the roster from the beginning, and only got in as a clone because so many people were asking for him anyway (it would’ve been cool if later games at least made his specials more like this, though)

The last game where GANON actually FELT EVIL. The music, the rage he had, the hatred in his vocal pieces and grunts etc. The darkness of everything from this until the end of the game. No Zelda game comes close

I remember standing outside that door for 30 minutes just VIBING with the atmousphere and getting pumped up for the awesomeness I knew was about to happen. I didn't know what he would do or how. But I knew it was gonna be good.
