I recommend looking in your controller settings and using the reverse hit to reverse hit people who try to hit you while you have the puck

you should find custom settings offline that make the game better.. I did it in NHL 21 and it's not great but it's far more real and better play. attributes effect on 10/10 only will change the game for ya but I think you should find the best ones for you.
