Today I visited Peter Morris at Bromley North Train Station in South East London. I have been a customer for about 20 years and have to say that Peter is probably one of the most knowledgeable people in the business.

What a wonderful traditional authentic little shop. Lots of character.
Very neat shop, Peter comes across as straight up no games and likeable.
He is a top guy.
Thanks for sharing Mario! The shop looks very much like my own local coin shop. Lots of character! Thanks again, Morris
What a little gem that shop is, thanks for a great video
Our pleasure!
That was fun! Thanks for taking us.
Thank you so much! This is really a treat to see inside a great local coin shop and hear a wonderful conversation. I would love to visit in person but this is the next best thing.😊
I already know am gonna comment twice but it’s awesome to support local and small businesses
All good for the YT algorithms! Comment away it all helps Uncle Mario 🙏
Another pleasant surprise. Supporting your long time friend. Such a loyal guy Mario
M. Mario, generous support for this small coin shop. He will find that he will be busy after this video. Thanks for who you are.
Yes, Peter said he hopes the video does not go viral!
THANKS FOR THE GREAT CONTENT THIS WEEK.
Our pleasure!
Good morning Mario...thanks for the little tour.
My pleasure
This is awesome. Thanks for sharing this shop. Im in London and its good to know this shop is in South London.
It was nice to hear the sound of real money on the counter.
What a cute authentic shop. Will definitely drop by next time I am in London. Greetings from Germany.
Is Peter going to become the "Tim" of the UK (ref. Yankee Stacking's LCS proprietor). If so, he has to tell us what is wrong with the world- but wait, Mario does that for us everyday. May Mario have the same effect on Peter's business that Yankee has had on TIm's.
Well said
good evening Sir!
Super interesting to see a coin shop in London! 😆Thanks Mario for sharing and thanks Peter!
Thank you Mario that was an excellent video, tell Peter thanks to
Thanks for sharing. My wife and I were at are local coin shop this morning.
That's great!
Nice video. I really enjoyed the fact you went out and about, and took us with you.
Glad to hear it!
I am so envious! That shop is so cool. It's like walking into really old hardware stores with items and parts you can't find anywhere else.
Including fork handles ;-)
How fun thank you
That was lovely, i would have liked to have seen some more coins and there history, nice shop a treat to see.
I am glad you are branching out and giving us a view of some places and scenes. You are doing something similar to what Dan of the iAllegedly youtube channel does.
I've got a good one for you today
He's got a good one everyday!!!
Yes, and Mario seems to be a natural at it.
This is like the British version of Yankee Stacking. 😁 Fabulous.
Tru dat!
Haha was thinking the same thing
Yes, I was thinking that too!
Let’s go coin shopping
That's a cool little LCS. I went to my LCS today as well. I'd rather hit the LCS than shop online. Thanks for sharing Mario 👍
Showing Rudy the ropes
suddenly I have a hankering for some Wensleydale.
The LCS videos are some of my favorites of the economic and stacker channels I follow. The interaction makes me happy and it's always a good day at the LCS.
Nice change to your regular videos, very interesting and informative.
Glad you think so!
@maneco64 Do you plan to do this type of video again in about another month or so with Gold Investments? They have a shop in London, too, correct?
G'day Mario 🇬🇧' Your sharing where you go ; nice ! Have a good weekend ! Thank you !
Peter Morris is the man !!! 🙂
What a great shop. They just don’t make them like that anymore. Interesting chap.
Maneco64 reporting on location, nice video, thanks Mario
Thanks for watching!
Really enjoyed that I have bought coins from Peter excellent service
Great to hear!
Utterly wonderful.
He must own the shop to have that much stuff around like this. I miss shops like these, not the silly manicured ones.
Yes, you're stepping to a physical extension of the proprietor's personality built up through the years, in that compact little space. I'd buy a Sov and a couple of sixpence's off him.
Has the Yankee Stacking feel to it, good stuff
I think these mini vlogs with Peter & Mario should be a regular fixture.
Like the Mike & Mario Show except on a fortnightly or monthly basis. Just a thought. Lovin' the easy rapport between you both.
Wow, what a cute little old shop!
Brilliant Mario, thanks for sharing this with us its great , the video and so is Peter.
Thanks, Mario. good to see friends you deal with.
I like how you can ask him for any coin and he knows exactly where it's located.
Excellent video... thanks 🕊️🥇💛📃
Glad you enjoyed it
Good morning Mario. I could spend all day in there lol and all my money.
We have just the one coin shop left here. Lots of "Antique" shops but they aren't really worth traveling around looking for the odd coin. They do have old coins but they are usually Jewellery with a hole in them or have a ring soldered onto them.
I am rarely in town and that coin shop, if it's even still there, was off the beaten track so to speak and not really on the way to anywhere. I would say I should make an effort to shop there but unless I'd something to go into town for its really not worth the car parking fee or hassle.
There's an online store I shop at called Crawleys coins. I've never had any problems. They are not the cheapest but they are trustworthy and don't mess about getting my order out to me. Makes it very difficult for brick and mortar stores here to compete. Convenience will be the death of us.
I placed an order Thursday and I am expecting the coins to be delivered here today. Waiting for the postman is murder lol.
i'm gonna go here when i next get to london - great video, mario
This guy Peter is living my dream.
Pretty sure a distant relative on my Dad's side 😁
The closest coin shop to me is an hour away, he's the only one in that small city. He's very similar to your friend Peter. Although he does not deal in any bullion, only collectors coins. Regardless, I'd like to get in to meet him, look around to see what he's got. I'd love an old silver, or better yet... gold coin. It's a six hour trip to the nearest city, I've been feeling out a few of the dealers there. My favourite place so far is an Egyptian family business that does it all... been in business since the early 1900s.
That is cool - what is the name of the family shop? Sounds like a cool place to visit
@@kickjack8874 They're called Express Gold Refining LTD. It's very secure and personable. They're online too.
Shop looks so peaceful and appealing to the eyes❤
That's a really cool place. I like that style. 👍😀.
Grove Park Mario, that’s where the line ends, however thanks for showing us a good little shop that deserves attention
Hi John, I used to use Elmstead Woods and actually never used the line from Bromley North. I forgot Grove Park which was actually the first stop from Elmstead Woods on the way to London.
Cracking little place. I only wish there were more - and old fashioned tobacconists too.
very cool Mario...
Well that was a pleasant surprise.
Went to school near there. Look forward to visit. Thanks :)
Wunderbar!
Fab for when we come to London! Will seek him out! Would you show us what you bought? would love a gander as I have to reply on online dealers, thanks Mario
I enjoyed that little visit to a local coin shop. Thanks.
Glad you enjoyed it
Maneco on location 💯 Cool! Thanks from New York
No problem 👍
Thanks v much for info. Now I know where 2 go.
Peter is a top guy I met him at the coin shows and I see him on a regular basis at the shows evry 4 weeks he’s a genuine nice guy and he Evan saved sla book for my brother and brought it to the show for him and the books out of print and an old one he had it brought it for us he is one really nice guy too geezer and if you reading this Peter it’s the twins lol love you dude
Heading down to the shops.
Thank you Mario!!! ❤
What a treat!!
Mario on manoeuvres! Scoping out the joint prior to putting in an offer to clear out the stock!
Whut a bummer, he didn’t have a Rudy coin!
honest coin dealer . rare indeed .
Great Job Mario!!
What a superb shop
Just lovely ☺️👌
Great video. What a fantastic shop! :)
It really is!
WOW! Thank you Mario, I didn't know about this, and will try to go take a look in his shop some time, I hope he sells coin capsules, I really need some of those, the shop I normally go to is Sharps Pixley, I do like them too.
Sharps and ATS are a walk away from Charing Cross Station
@@des_smith7658 Thank you, that's great I was at Sharps just the other day, but need to visit some of these other dealers also.
I’m visiting the UK and France in a week and I’m so stoked to meet worldly collectors and I’m definitely taking a few US pieces to trade. And I’m planning to take some European stuff as well. Any suggestions on what they like on the other side of the pond.
Nice one.. Thnks Sir Mario
You are welcome
Awesome video thank you
Very welcome
There's a lot of history there 😊
Nice man
Thanks
thank you
What about Grove Park, the other station on the branch ?
Hi @Des smith, I didn't realise that. I thought I might have missed a station. I have actually never taken a train to or from Bromley North station. I used to use Elmstead Woods.
I caught the train from Grove park to London every work day back in the 70’s / 80’s.
I worked in Hatton Garden back then so I used Holborn Viaduct
Where wheeltappers were also employed
Great video !
Thanks!
I thought you’d show us what you bought? Maybe once home
I think your coin dealer is about to become busy with calls and orders
NEVER WILL BUY ANY COIN WITH CHARLIE ON IT
Neither will the public when they discover who and what he really stands for ie "you will have nothing and be happy."
Brave man !
One day I’ll make a stop
I have a 1914 and also a 1958 sovereign, how can you tell if they are originals from those years or restrikes?
Best UK price for metals seems to be Atkinsons. Anyone found anywhere better?
I met this guy at the Midland coin fair, this weekend just gone. Found him very rude.
Does the price of numismatic or bullion coins in England include the VAT ?
Does he take AMERICAN express??
Yes, I think so.
Please show us what coins you bought Mario.
Hi @Kenneth Fenwick, I bought 30 pre-1965 dimes, 12 pre-1965 quarters and the King Charles III 2022 Sovereign. I will put some pictures of them in a video soon.
@@maneco64 Thanks. I wish I had a coin dealer near me, but I live in the country, so all my buying is from Dealers websites and mail order. I don't like this process, as it can be tracked. Buying direct from a Dealer requires no records of the purchases.
When I go to my LCS it’s like a fat kid going to a candy store with a fistful of dollars…
Mario does Peter have any Morgan Carson City silver dollars… Those are my silver passion
Are you a Mod or a Rocker? I'm a Stacker!
I enjoyed that. Crypto col
Peter is all business. Lol
When did British gov stop making silver General currency
1947
Maneco64 reveals an antiquarian interest.
Sir, I am from India and I also have Indian coins which have pictures of the British government, will you buy them?
