Good afternoon Mario and family, I am late today. Its not just India that needs to look out, if you have resources belonging to the US it doesn't matter where you are lol.
Any hard asset invested in USA or any financial asset in USD anywhere in the world is never safe.
Once west makes it a my way or highway approach, India will stop caring about west and start working on complete self reliance.
The key is risk analysis. The markets are and has always been unpredictable. Thus the important point is not how much one might make but what one could lose. trading and holding on speculative stocks/Crypto and even great stocks can test ones ability in the arena of our ability to control ones loss aversion bias…buy high sell low…The market is overvalued by almost all measures like the CAPE and Buffett indicator. Speculation is high with things like meme stocks (are they dead yet?), our kitty dude, Ai dreaming and all.... It is all about how much one can lose during times like these. Does that mean don't invest, of course not but one must access the risk and have a way out if the tide goes out.....I've been engaged in active trading and managed to grow a nest egg of around 2.6B'tc to a decent 24B'tc....I'm especially grateful to Sandy Barclays, whose deep expertise and traditional trading acumen have been invaluable in this challenging, ever-evolving financial landscape..

Money is a measure of value only when you have something to trade with at a given point of time. India needs to watch it's forex reserves all right, watch it like a hawk even. And afaik, the currency bouquet is healthy mix. And any currency risk is offset by the rush to safety in that very geography ( at least partly )
But the West needs to watch it's standards as well. Of living, of spending, of using and throwing. Live free shouldn't automatically translate to live it large.
India can also nationalize us companies which have set up shop in India in retaliation. hope usa realizes that.

It is letting rupee depreciate and continues with rising domestic inflation which is only worsened by USD sterilization, while int rates remain high and drag business.
So here is a country thats apparently, at the margin, beggaring its own citizens and lending its hard earned money to a profligate borrower with dicey financials, who also has full power to freeze the assets.
Which borrower in the world would not like to have a lender like that? Why would such a borrower ever want such lending to stop?

India is between a rock and a hard place. Most of its trade is with the west, but it is one of the founding countries in BRICS. At some point, it may have to cut the cord with debts that are unlikely to be repaid if the US dollar collapses. Personally, if I owed India billions, I'd wait until the US dollar collapsed and buy pallets of the things for pennies on the dollar to ship to India to settle the debt, if they refuse to settle in US dollars then they forfeit their claim under the current trade paradigm.
The kind of trade happening between india and west, especially in software services, i believe it's a remote policy as usa is controlled by oligarchs like bill gates, they never allow this to happen. There is too much at loss for usa companies when they sanction a country like india.
