I had a rough time of it as a kid and I never found release through music. My sister was out and left her ipod nano at home. I decided to go out and ride a bike listening to it. She was slightly older so it was just full of bands like etf, bfmv and bmth. Absolutely hooked me. This sort of music carried me into my adulthood. I still listen today as a 27 year old man. I genuinely think the quality of this song is better than 99% of rock/metal that comes out today, unreal.

Ronnie will forever be my favourite musician. His etf songs like situations and this to his solo songs like never the same will forever live in my heart. He never fails to dissapoint, whether its "screaming" or rapping hes saved me from ending it. Thank you my friend
This song and "The Ransom" will forever be my favorite songs. I miss the There's No Sympathy For The Dead and Dying Is Your Latest Fashion era. But let's admit, "The Ransom" does not get the credit it deserves.
I think Ronnie had some interactions with other dimensions and creatures of shadows during his dreams. His lyrics always mentions weird places, weird people and situations that don't seem to be of our reality
Seems like 90% of people here are around 27-30 years old. We're reliving our best years - teenage years. Filled with emotion and emotion ingrains stuff forever into your memory
Every time I come back to this song I cant help but sing along and air guitar to it, especially at 3:10. I've always wanted to play guitar but can never find time or money to do so. This might just be my favorite metal song of all time, it just really brings out a lot of emotions for me that takes me back to when I used to be super edgy haha.
Good idea. Try this now. Look up A Death-Grip On Yesterday by Atreyu. Then if you like that maybe look up Lead Sails and Paper Anchors. Their 2018 album is pretty good too but those are the ones you really need to hear.
22 years old now, listening to this reminds me of when I was 15.. just another depressed teen smoking weed and overdosing on his prescription meds, helping friends be themselves when I couldn't do that myself.. Thinking about it, I was a little too fucked up to realize that I was good kid but just full of bad tendencies and emotional self turmoils
2021. I listen to this song many times over the years. Still one of the best songs out there in the genre. I was hating Ronnie back in the days because I was Craig's fan till the bone. Still questions about his behavior but I like his music too.
My very first big show I went to was these guys headlining shortly after this album came out and I can say it was one of the best experiences of my life. There's just an intensity that this music has that nothing else does
It’s 2024, I’m 39 and still enjoying the fuck out of this song. The guitar in this gets me and my 6/4 year olds jamming when it comes on my playlist. 🔥🔥🤘🏼🔥🔥

There's a place that I've found
As far as I can see
This place lies within
The depths of my dreams
In a garden surrounded
By fire and trees
Through the smoke a silhouette I can barely see
There's a man with an axe
Standing in the rain
Looked me straight in my eye
This is what he had to say
Never fall asleep
You won't wake up
Destroy the guillotine
Before he does
I walk with shadows
(you have to find a better way)
I walk with shadows
(the questions I will never say)
Hiding from the gallows
(they keep me safe and sound)
So I walk in shadows
(the ways of burning down this house)
End transmission
The satellites are down
I need an earthquake
To shake this pity
Off the ground
Just don't trust these liars at the door
(you have to find a better way)
Kill the ones that have these answers for
(the questions I will never say)
Never fall asleep
You won't wake up
Destroy the guillotine
Before he does
I walk with shadows
(you have to find a better way)
I walk with shadows

Hiding from the gallows
(they keep me safe and sound)
So I walk in shadows
(the ways of burning down this house)
End transmission
The satellites are down
I need an earthquake
To shake this pity
Off the ground
All the vibrant colors I see
And the shades that fill the grey
Pain
The pain

Ronnie will forever be my favourite musician. His etf songs like situations and this to his solo songs like never the same will forever live in my heart. He never fails to dissapoint, whether its "screaming" or rapping hes saved me from ending it. Thank you my friend
This song is so beautifully deep and really paints a vivid image in your mind.
I have changed so much from when i used to listen to this kind of music i cant even recognize the person i used to be, yet i still love this music!
God I need some new Ronnie music
Still one of the best fucking songs ever made.
*Message to the future generations:* Don't let this song die!🤘🔥
Ay we’ll hold it down don’t worry pops 🤝
This song and "The Ransom" will forever be my favorite songs. I miss the There's No Sympathy For The Dead and Dying Is Your Latest Fashion era. But let's admit, "The Ransom" does not get the credit it deserves.
It's pretty nice to see everyone sharing the same feeling here about the old times and how this kinda of songs was important to all of us
2020 and that solo still hits me
I miss 2020
I think Ronnie had some interactions with other dimensions and creatures of shadows during his dreams. His lyrics always mentions weird places, weird people and situations that don't seem to be of our reality
Well he said he sold his soul
In an interview with max green
I’m 28 and here I am lol
tiene el balance perfecto .}
Haven’t heard this since 14 (22 now). This song was randomly in my head all day at work today. Had to find it as soon as I got home.
Seems like 90% of people here are around 27-30 years old. We're reliving our best years - teenage years. Filled with emotion and emotion ingrains stuff forever into your memory
Yup 27 here
this was my windows xp wallpaper for a year
Ban Ellá omg windows xp, that really says something!
This is my wallpaper right now lol
Hardcore will never die, but you will.
Can anyone here please just take a moment
To appreatiate how god dammed good this song genuinely is?!
so I guess this albums really old. and I guess 14 is a good time to start listening. Looks like I'm in the perfect position
Samantha Metreger it's not thaaaaat old xD
I was in middle school when this album dropped. Dont make me feel old now lol
Good idea. Try this now. Look up A Death-Grip On Yesterday by Atreyu. Then if you like that maybe look up Lead Sails and Paper Anchors. Their 2018 album is pretty good too but those are the ones you really need to hear.
Just gonna roast me like that
24 years old and already nostalgic of the good days gone... this song is still reminding me to my youth!
God the amount of time this band could save me from my void was endless
🔥🔥🤘🏼🔥🔥
2023 So good
This came out when i was 13. Just turned 28. Ive been listening to this album for _over_ half my life now.
You think you left this “phase” behind but then you go down a rabbit hole of your old music and your instantly addicted again. it was never a phase lol it’s a part of you.
Omg I've been looking for this song for the longest 😩
God damn memories man. Shout out to all the time travellers alongside me.
I just wanna relive these times man 😢
This song is 🔥🔥🔥 but the guitar solo at 3:00 just made me fly away from this earth😖 amazing song and memories with this band🙌🏻
