  • This is the final video about my Subaru Impreza 2.0 Sport that I bought for £500. It is kind of a review but I am not very good at reviews yet so the video is what I thought about the car, would I recommend you to buy one and other thoughts.

    Thanks for review, all the Subaru Impreza reviews everywhere else are for the WRX, so good to hear someone talk about the less known/popular model. I also know what you mean about this iconic shape stirring emotion. I don’t know how it does, but it does!

      Thanks so much for watching and your your comment. I am happy to have owned it and be able to have so much fun with it. Hopefully others will see that they don't need to have the WRX to enjoy the Impreza.

    Just recently bought a 95 WRX Wagon. Love to drive it. Makes me smile. It's not just that it's quick, it also feels spot on.

      Thanks for your comment. I agree, the 2.0 sport is nowhere near as fast as the WRX but it feels right. It just feels that you can throw it into any corner and come out the other end pointing the right way.

    I have the GX trim as a wagon in the same colour that I bought as a project car. So far everyone that I have given a go in it enjoyed the driving experience. I have taken mine on dirt tracks many times and it’s the most fun i’ve had off road in a car by far. So I agree with everything in this video for sure.

    I have the 99 rx (Australian version) and my god everything you said in this video is 100% correct. Mine has almost 450,000 ks and the engine is going strong ! Probs to the last owners for regularly servicing the car the only issues I have now which are slowly creeping up is the suspension and steering because the 2nd owner was a young lad and thrashed it abit but overall it’s a great car for anyone who wants cheap fun and a great way to learn how to drive a car properly

      @@DannsBangers oh trust me I will be keeping it for as long as i can. I think these 1st generation Imprezas/wrx are the best looking out of the lot and not to mention I really got a kick out of it when watching Colin McRae and Richard burns tear up the dirt in the rally championships that’s what really got me into these nice little subies. My goal is to fully wrx convert it as a price of 1st gen wrx or sti in australia here are quite pricey (50,000-100,000)

      @@deathtoming2201 Yeah, the are a bit pricy in the UK too. That's why I got the 2lt sport. Have fun and thanks again for the comments.

    Hi Dann, having owned Alfas and a WRX they are both great fun, proper driver's cars. I would say the turbo lag in the WRX made it feel a bit less immediate but blisteringly quick nonetheless. I would also add a Mazda RX8 onto the list of cars one should try, the rotary thing is definitely worth experiencing.

      I don't know if I have enough oil money for the RX8 but if I find one cheap enough I would be tempted. As for the Alfa Romeo, I can't comment on them so I will have to own one at some point. Glad you agree that the Subaru is a proper drivers car. I can imagine that the lag is a pain on the WRX but it is the handling that I found amazing with mine. It wasn't fast until I went around corners and as you can attest roundabouts. (Sorry for that by the way) 😁

      @@DannsBangers I enjoyed the roundabouts - and luckily it was before eating lunch! RX8 handling is awesome too, very light weight engine and rear wheel drive combo. Watching the videos of your Subaru it seemed in worse condition than I remembered but still a very cool car for the money.

      @DannsBangers  Před 4 lety

      No, it was in the same very bad condition. You are just trying to block out how bad it was. 😜
      I will look for an RX8 but even a bad one will be a bit more than I want to pay. But you never know

    It’s my favourite car. I have a good example of the 2000 turbo facelift classic and have just started to restore a sport which is actually on CZcams under Hyper-Tune Subaru Impreza classic custom exhaust & induction kit. I’d put the link in but haven’t a clue how. 😂
    They are great cars and are easy to work on but expensive for certain bits. 😮
