Including it in her Bad Day to Be a Goat chapter, she could have reframed it as a learning or turning point, that making instantaneous decisions in the heat of a rage fit was unseemly, and if she had a do-over she would ship Cricket to a real trainer, or rehome her, and castrate and not torture the goat.

The actual truth is that she has never met him. So why can't she just say I made a mistake, though it is certainly a very big mistake?
I think she supplies the psychological reason behind this when she insists that she has "met many world leaders". In actuality, she has met very few world leaders, but she feels such a need to bolster her resume that she will go to any length, including outright fantasy and lies, to make herself look better. This is really, really sad.

Kim introduced me to his favorite snack, which he calls "Gim-bai", or something like that. It was kind of like Filipino lumpia, but the dipping sauce was absolutely UNREAL! OMG. The next time North Korea has a meeting with any of the white hats, you really should go. It was awesome. And he's not such a bad guy when he hosts people. I didn't understand all of his jokes because I don't speak Korean, but some of them translated well and were hilarious! I'm hoping to go back next chance I get.
