God bless you...in the US here even though they played in my city I was unable to go. I'm sure it was the highlight of your experience as a music fan!!! But I will make it to Montreaux next year.
he was a truly remarkable person; his music has reached the lives of millions of people who were born decades after he passed. i think physically he’s gone but in every other aspect of the word, he’s still alive through his music and ever lasting energy that he gave in every little thing that he did, right up until his final days.
For me. The magic tour. Has been one of their best tour. Everything was absolutely perfect. Freddie rocked during that nights. Especially in some dates he had some Nodule problems. He was the greatest.
I think for Knebworth the official attendance was about 120,000 but it may have been a lot more than that. Shame the the whole gig wasn't professionally filmed as it's kinda historical being the last ever show with Freddie.
+David Cook Freddie was the best. I listen to him every day - and can barely sleep at night for the music going through my head!!!!! Queen music is better than most of my current thoughts!!!
All I play in my car, I'm 63 & in the US art Canada's border. We got all the Totonto & some Mo ntreal stations. I fell in love 45 years ago when everything Freddie did hit the news. God how I loved him.
I wonder when Freddie explained this was his last tour and surely, saying he was tired would not have seemed a sufficient reason to end Queen as a live band. Esp when it affected John, Roger and Brian.
He probably suspected it. Some of his former partying friends were already dead or dying at that point, and I'm sure a few alarm bells had already gone off in his head.
Yeah, i've always thought he probably was starting to have some mild but odd symptoms at this point that rang alarm bells for him. The way HIV's timeline works (on average) it would make sense.
I wish I could ask Brian and Roger this. When Freddie told them he was done touring, it seems to me he would have had to give more of a reason as to why he couldn't tour any longer, especially knowing that he was taking away the livelihood of Brian, Roger and John. Yes, they recorded and made videos but those concerts, in 1986, were bringing in loads of money for them. I can't imagine Freddie just telling them he was done, without letting them know why, to some degree. Their lives changed suddenly, too, in a huge way. I hate to think that Freddie would have been that inconsiderate and selfish and would have ended the band's touring without giving them some clue. That was a major decision affecting all of them, not just Freddie. But I guess we will never know.
If you actually listen to the interview, Brian says that Freddie pretty much said the same thing on every tour. What I don't think any of them knew then, is that this time Freddie's word became prophetic. He wan't actually diagnosed until 1987, but I'm pretty sure he suspected he might have been infected already during the Magic tour, since his former aquintances were already getting sick and dying at that point.
@@thegamingkitchen8429 I love Freddie, but I feel the same way. On the other hand though, who on earth in the 70s could have possibly predicted something like AIDS would appear? And you know straight rock singers of the same time period went through women by the dozens. If you say that about Freddie you have to say that about all of them. It's just sheer luck that disease isn't as easily passed from women to men.
Non ci sarà mai più nessuno come te, perché anche se ti assomigliasse, sarebbe un'imitazione..
Immenso Freddie

+David Cook Agreed. But --- Freddie was always ON ---- no matter what was holding him down.
Chris moonflower Indeed. Freddie always gave his all (a consumate professional to the very end).

Anonymous guy "you want some champagne?" Freddie "no thanks I got beer. I just have a cigarette" so polite but I don't know it made me laugh too😂😂
Freddie dans mon cœur pour toujours ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤ je t'aime ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤ tu me manques 😢😢😢😢😢😢
Ahh, good times. You know your band is tops when you have to add a Knebworth date on top of 2 nights at Wembley just to satisfy the ticket demand.
Thank you :)...unfortunally in my country i cannot find this to buy :(( so thank you:*

i felt that freddie knew he somehow got aids and that was the reason why he said he can't do it anymore.
He probably suspected it. Some of his former partying friends were already dead or dying at that point, and I'm sure a few alarm bells had already gone off in his head.

Yes he would have known, and he didn't want to say anything. He's a performer
