My Aussie is the best companion ever, we go hiking, walking, camping. She's always up for whatever. She is just a great dog, the first 2 years are the roughest, 4+ is just a joy to have this dog. They are silly, mine makes me laugh everyday. They know how to manipulate you to get their way, but the greetings you get when you get home from work are crazy.

We have a red tri mini Aussie and she is the happiest little dog I've ever seen. She is so smart and loving. My husband and I have an empty nest now and Sadie is our furbaby. Yes she is spoiled rotten lol. She's perfect

They are the most active hyper dog EVER! big pain in the butts BUT I love my Aussie more than anything...they are loyal and so protective...I have 2 and I wouldn't change it for the world ...great dogs...

Why do they have different ears so often? Are they in two types? Becouse some of them have ears like border collie or papillon..
Gosia Ka pricked ears are not within breed standard. Still Australian Shepherds, just wouldn’t be considered the perfect example of an Aussie. I loved pricked ears though!
My aussie was NEVER a pain in the butt, or hyperactive, I wonder if that has anything to do with the color, as mine was a solid tripoint black and tan, and most of the people that I've heard complain about a high activity level in this dog all had merles. Could just be a coincidence though, I guess.

I have a red merle, and while he can go for hours, he also has an “off” switch. Wouldn’t call him hyperactive at all, just a dog with enthusiasm for fetch and a deep reservoir of endurance. Best behaved dog ever.

I have a blue merle named Ozzy (he's a mini) and he's got one brown eye and the other is brown with a patch of blue. He is the biggest pain in the butt, but he's my best friend in the whole world.

Eboni Young they are the best ... just make sure you get them from a good breeder ... not a puppy mill ,lots of sickness... we saved our dog from a horrible pet store ... he was so sick when we got him ... he so loyal to everyone in our family god bless
If you are looking for a dog thats chill and sits on your lap all day then and Aussie is NOT for you ...they have to be exercised often and regularly ....
