Thanks for digging this up and posting. The “Mr. Science” segment at the beginning was really informative. You don’t have any idea about how physics affects something as simple as a yo-yo.

To think: Pedro Flores founded a company back in 1928 to show America a toy. This toy became a life-saver to many people during the Great Depression, and provided lifetime entertainment at a nickel a pop. The company was bought by Donald Duncan and with that the yo-yo became a household object. Fast forward to today, we have competitions, new tricks, speed, community, and innovation. Duncan isn't the only company anymore and the toy is worldwide. The yo-yo: 80 years, one world.
