- Hello everyone I am back!
Sorry it took so long for me to make another 11 point tracking video but I really did not expect the video to blow up. Like seriously, its really insane how much attention its getting.
Thank you guys for your support and overall being a welcoming community for me.
Anyways, I decided to improve the initial video by making a whole bunch more demonstrations. This includes showing a variety of vr chat avatars that people use.
One of the things that I overlooked while making the first one is the fact that my avatar.. Is the only one in existence.
I made it, and I’m demonstrating 11 point full body tracking on an avatar that I only have and nobody else.
Of course, I had to change this. Also with the feedback I received I also included some human avatars so you can see the tracking quality on those.
Take this 11 point full body tracking in vrchat video as like, an improvement over the first one, with a lot more demos and variety of positions.

can you give me the full run down on what to do to set up for 11 point tracking? what works best? and what tools work together the best?
Sorry for the late response, I wanted to give a competent and well structured response.
Trackers
I’ll start with trackers, personally I have experience with the Vive 3.0 Trackers. (The tracking shown in this video is 8 Vive 3.0 trackers) Their battery life and excellent tracking is the reason why I bought it. I haven’t tried the tundras, haritorax, or slimvr so I am unable to provide feedback on that. However, definitely look into those if you on a budget as the vive tracker setup is the most expensive option. ($1,040 total for all 8 3.0 trackers)
Tundras will work for 11 point, Slimvr as well. Tracking quality differs from vive trackers/tundras compared to slimvr as slim vr uses angle and rotation to dictate its position (Thats because it works without base stations. The base stations help track the exact location of the tracker)
Base stations
If your not using slimvr, then you will need base stations. I would recommend to have at least 2 Base station 2.0. Field of view and support for much more recent trackers are the reason. Unless you bought a Valve index that came with the base stations, be sure to buy the steam version of the base station 2.0 as they are cheaper, come with a longer power cable, and backed by valve. They have excellent customer service.
Straps
Honestly anything will work, I’ve tried brands such as Rebuff reality, skywin, and eoz. They all work great and do their job. I would recommend getting the rebuff reality straps.
Big pointer, so far, the vrchat x eoz limb straps are super comfy. A little pricey but they are by far the best, not to mention they are kinda the only option for proper knee straps atm.
Hardware
Not much to say here, if you can afford 11 point then you must have some pretty decent hardware. One thing I will mention is to be sure to invest in a pci express usb expansion card as having that many trackers can overload your motherboards USB controller.
They cost like $20 and will save you the hassle of dealing with disconnection issues

Where on the knee do you place the knee straps? I have the EOZ straps, but I never know where to put the strap in terms of the knee (for both comfort and accuracy.) I also don’t know which way to face the elbow trackers so I’ve not used them nor my knee trackers in about a month. ;;
Another question, which way do you angle the trackers when using the eoz straps for your feet trackers? (If ya use them.) Mine usually angle to the side, but I’ve heard that you’re not supposed to do that.
Hi there! I actually do have the EOZ straps!
For the knee straps I like to have them placed above my knee. It makes it easier to put on and if I ever want to kneel down or whatever, I can do that. I usually keep them facing the same direction my knee does.
For my elbows, I usually have the best results when I place the trackers below my elbow, and at a 90 degree angle, facing upwards. Kinda hard to explain in text nyah. ;w;
As for my foot trackers, I like to angle them as well. I was advised by CZcams content creator to angle them. Not sure whether it helps or not. I just followed their advice.

What do you use for a chest strap?
Edit: Trying to upgrade from 10 point to 11 point tracking and any pointers would be nice.
I actually just use a regular waist strap. It’s comfy for me due to my body shape, but it might not be as comfy for some.
Biggest pointer I’d like to make is make sure to invest in a pci express usb expansion card. Having that many trackers can overload your motherboards usb controller which can cause issues such as jitter, disconnections, and “zooming” (when a tracker zooms off the screen and causes your avatar to follow with it)
Other than that, that’s pretty much it
If your looking for great knee straps, the vrchat x eoz limb straps are SUPER comfy.
@@LittleColteee funny enough, I already have the eoz/vrchat straps from tundra and I do have to agree with you on the comfort. I’ll have to try and get a hold on another belt from them then. I also got the tundra dongles for my vive 3.0s so I wouldn’t have as much lag or dongles everywhere. Also thank you for such a quick response!! Subscribed!

I actually have the eoz belt, super firm on the waist and of course, comfy. It’s crazy how comfy these collaboration straps are, yeah they are pricey but they are truly the best ones I’ve ever had.
I have 11 point as well, I use a GoPro chest harness with a 1/4” thread adapter to mount the tracker. It’s a really good solution imo. The waist strap on the chest tends to shift horizontally and vertically so I’d definitely recommend this instead.

Yeah it’s annoying to charge them when I need to. However, I mitigate the time by setting up a 10 port charging station for all the trackers and index controllers.

Do you ever run into problems with your 11 point tracking drifting off, not because it lost line of sight to a base station but because it has interference or a connection issue? I have 11 point tracking and when it works correctly i love using it I'm using 7 tundra's and one vive tracker and 4 base stations. the problem i run into is that sometime it seems like a tracker just doesn't want to track and i think it's a signal issue I've even tried getting a usb hub with 4 dedicated usb controllers for each usb port and that seemed to help a little but not much. I was just wondering if you have ran into any problems like that with your setup or know of any fixes.

So about the connection issue while using 11 point tracking, I have faced the same issues when using mine. I don’t have the tundra trackers, as all of mine are the htc vive 3.0 trackers, but they do have the same issue.
However, when I bought a pcie card with USB ports (those have their own dedicated usb controller) the issues stopped happening honestly. At times I do still have jittering or just my 8th vive tracker moving for no reason, but those happen a lot less often when I use that usb card.
That’s the only fix I can really recommend but since you have done that and it doesn’t seem to work, try seeing if anything reflective is in your room. Reflective surfaces can interfere with tracking, especially when your tracking 8 trackers.
Also check if there’s like any Bluetooth interference in your room.
Check if the dongles are too close to each other, as they might interfere with each other.
Those are the fixes I can suggest. Hope they work, Nyah. ❤️
Thanks for the advice, I guess I’ll just have to keep playing around with it. I think the only difference with the tundra dongles is that there’s multiple of the same receivers in one dongle vs on receiver per dongle and maybe that’s part of my problem. I can only imagine how many USB ports you must have set up if you using 8 vive trackers, I thought it was a mess using 3 when I was using 3 vive trackers.
@@sleetyscroll6069 Just thought I'd chime in and mention that I have an 11-point setup and a USB expansion card as well, and I still struggle with interference issues intermittently - some days it'll work perfectly, while on others I'll get frequent disconnecting or "flying off into space" trackers. Spacing my dongles as far apart as possible and turning off wifi devices (in addition to bluetooth) seems to help, but it's still kind of a gamble as to how smoothly a session will go. But yeah, wifi (especially older wifi) can be a big source of interference, especially if you're like me and live in an apartment building with many neighbors nearby...
You need to place all the dongles apart from each other, at least one ft / 30cm from all others. Otherwise they interfere with another resulting in signal-problems. You can do this with extension-cables.
Next thing is to avoid or cover any reflecting things in your room. (windows or pictures under glass, or cupboard doors with glass) this would reflect the lasers from the base-stations and then confuse the trackers.
For USB i found that USB3 is good enough. I have a cheap 10-port-extension which is connected to only one USB-3-port on my PC, and that works fine. I have 4 vive2.0 and 4 tundras.

No worries! I actually just searched up furry avatar worlds and just happen to randomly find the ones that I need. Theres plenty of them out there. These avatars are all public except for my own.

Control. The biggest advantage to having knee trackers is being able to control them instead of the IK doing it for you.

Where are all the trackers enabled and how many straps are being used also how much would 11-point tracking cost in total would like to have that much tracking ability when I have the right amount of time and money and do you need more base stations than the ordinary 2 since there are more trackers in one place or does it not matter
11 point tracking is called 11 point because you have 8 vive trackers plus the controllers and headset. (Vrchat considers the 2 controllers and headset points of tracking apparently)
I use 8 straps for my body. Knees, elbows feet, waist, and chest.
My setup costed me about $2,600
This does not include the PC, just pure vr setup.
I have 8 Vive 3.0 Trackers and 4 Base station 2.0, and a valve index. There are certainly ways to make the cost cheaper, but I wanted the best tracking available so I went with that.
You actually will be fine with just 2 base station 2.0. They can handle them just fine. If you get more the benefit is having more coverage around your play space.

Do you need to buy wall mounts for the base stations or do they come with the trackers as a package
@@Gw4ysen Nah the base stations do come with wall mounts. However, only the steam version of the base stations came with the mounts. Do not buy the HTC version of the base station, they are priced higher and come with worse cables.
