My thoughts as well
I would love to see a black and white 3 featuring terastalizing, and taking place after the indigo disk with some indigo disk characters and at least some newer pokemon (at least Sylveon, kingambit, and enamorous, but hopefully more than that cause furfrou needs to make it on the switch) and then the next year, legends celebi because old-timey Johto would honestly be so aesthetically pleasing and also Johto has alot of lore that could be explored, Kyoto which it's based off of is a very historical city
*My timeline with the future of Pokémon:*
2024:
- Nintendo Switch 2 is announced in the Spring, released in the summer.
- Like predicted, Nintendo Switch games can still be played on the Nintendo Switch 2 but not the other way around, like the 3DS.
- Let's Go Johto will be the first game onto the Nintendo Switch 2. It will be the same like Let's Go Pikachu & Eevee but only Johto.
2025:
- Legends: ??? (name of the original Unova dragon) will be announced and released.
2026:
- Pokémon Day will be the 30th anniversairy of Pokémon (original release of Red & Green) and releases Gen X at the end of 2026.
2027:
- DLC for Gen X
2028:
- Gen VI remakes, probably with more pokémon getting Mega Evolution (notable Flygon) and also Zygarde cells playing a role.
They aren't gonna release Ge 10 in 2026, thats way to long of a gap between generations (WIth 4 years). The VCG in its current format cannot support anything past the three year span we currently have.
@@nickdentoom1173 In the past we had games with a lifespan of 4 years. I do think with the Nintendo Switch 2 and the 30th anniversairy, they'll do it again. It won't make sense to just drop DLC for the 30th anniversairy. And we got Gen IV remakes for the 25th anniversairy.
@@BoyFromBelgium99We only had a 4 year gap between Hoenn and Sinnoh (Because the Sinnoh games were released) and Sinnoh and Unova.
Every other generation after that, has seen a third year gap.
i much *prefer* the idea of Johto coming next, but the fact that 8 of the 9 remaining Pokémon that haven't been on the Switch are from Unova.. 🤔
I think we are going to have both a unova remake made by another company and johto legends made by game freak
Also missing X and Y box art legends. I think a remake is a smart choice though people skip it.
In a perfect world an Unova remake would be off the table. We have so much potential lore for Unova now with Legends: Kyurem and the old kings, COlress (probably one of the biggest geniuses of the pokemon world) traveling other regions and changing the Unova Region and even Briar with her Terra-Exportation to actual regions (which could/should disturb the unovian wild life and could there bring out the OG Dragon) that I would rather see a sequel to BW2 than a remake. Remakes died with BDSP for me.
Even though Black and White are the only mainline Pokemon games I've never played, I would rather have Black 3 White 3 with changed events, some new characters and new storyline or whatever.
I think Johto is very well possible. But I'm still holding out hope for Unova something. Wether it be a faithful remake, a legends game, both, or whatever it becomes. Simply because the little easter eggs and references aren't enough for me. The Unova references don't feel like a conclusion. They feel like hints to something new.
I want to see this new Unova. I want to see these characters now, the impact of everything thats happened since B&W2. Including but not limited too, Ingo's disappearance, Clay's Daughter, Drayden's grandson, the Paldean characters going to mainland Unova, etc. There are so many things that could make for a unique new story that revisits Unova.
So with Clay having Lacey, what would you imagine is the future of Driftveil's Gym? Do you think Lacey will have graduated by then and taking over her father's Gym, making it fairy-type? Would you prefer Clay is still in charge? Or maybe both; ala BW having both Iris and Drayden depending on version, would you see one version having Lacey and the other having Clay?
I feel that Lacey's mom is Elesa. And the reason they dont mention it is because she's not a gym leader anymore but Clay is. Assuming they dont properly scale the gym leaders again, i think he'd even be the 8th gym leader now.
Lenora, Roxie, Marlon, Skyla, Brycen, someone new, Burgh, and Clay would be gym leaders
Elesa would be a full time model.
Drayden would be retired.
Chili, Cilan, and Cress would be running a restaurant.
E4 would be Grimsley, Chantel, and Marshall.
Iris would be a E4 or Champion.
Cheren would be e4 or champion.
Alder would be retired or dead.
Caitlin would be on vacation somewhere.
Bianca is the new professor and Juniper is her mentor still but busy with other research.
I think Benga would have a more important role. Maybe even evil team leader for some reason.
N, Ghetsis, the sages, previous protagonists, and b2w2 rival need to make some sort of appearance as well just not sure what.

@@supersaiyaneevee1573 I appreciate your sharing of the headcanon. Personally I don't believe Elesa is the mother; I feel narrative and logistical facets don't line up to enable it, but I won't deny it could be possible.
My take is thus;
Triplets have returned and are the first challenge.
Cheren maintains his place at the school and is second
Roxie is third
Burgh is fourth
Elesa is fifth
Clay or Lacey is sixth
Skyla is seventh
Drayton has graduated and takes Opulecid gym as eight.
Iris is now on the E4, is is Marlon, alongside Marshall and Caitlin.

@@supersaiyaneevee1573 Elesa being Laceys mom is problematic for a number of reasons
One: Lacey doesn't share any features with Clay and Elesa.
Two: Lacey has pink hair, Clay and Elesa do not. Clay and Elesa also don't have the Yellow eye color Lacey has (Clays is brown and Elesa's is Light Blue). This means that Lacey takes after her mother and not her father.
Three: I think it would have been mentioned Lacey having 2 famous parents, one who is a gym leader, since even if Elesa would be retired, she would still be a famous model after all.
We see it with Drayden and Drayton as well, despite a generation difference (Grandfather and grandson), they both have the same eye color, meaning Draydens kid has them as well.
You even see it with Perrin and Adaman, despite being generations apart, they actually share the same hair and eye color). So if Lacey was related to Elesa, she would have her features, since she doesn't have Clay's.
I would love a kalos remake because I didn’t play the original X and Y. I also love the idea of a paradox Unova
Gen 10 could also still come out on schedule but be marketed as part of the 30th anniversary
Companies tend to extend anniversaries as early and late as possible to maximize profits
I personally believe, if all the Unova fans are getting is JUST Blueberry Academy, that would be a bigger insult to them than BDSP was to Sinnoh fans because at least we got something new in the form of PLA. All Unova fans get are some evolutions and this one area that is set in Unova but doesn't let you visit ANY of it in a modern generation? That's actually just gods awful. But I agree with Toby - I don't want to see anything else really done with the Scarlet and Violet engine. Speaking of engines, I personally hope Game Freak wises up and starts to use Unreal eventually - having access to all of its assets and the like would help and not only that, provide some stability for the future. The fact that LGPE, SWSH, BDSP, and PLA were ALL ON THE SWITCH but used different engines is boggling to the mind.
If we get more dlc from scarlet and violet, then that dlc should have all of the old Pokémon that didn’t return in the hidden treasure of area zero, yes, all of the missing Pokémon returning, no brand new Pokémon since the point of that dlc is to bring all of the Pokémon that are yet to return plus some other features that might still be added, such as the pkhex
And the second point of just giving more dlc with extra features and only returning Pokémon with no new Pokémon would give them more time to work on generation 10
Pokemon always hints at the future and i feel like they are doing that with the paradox dogs and swords of justice, representing a future unova game and a legends johto game.
My raw honest thoughts about these predictions:
1. I feel like a "Paradox Unova" game can only work if it's sufficiently differentiated from the Unova games, otherwise it's a bit redundant. Releasing PLA after BDSP works because PLA justifies its existence by offering a unique gameplay experience, story and a reimagined setting despite being a traditional mainline game set in the same region as BDSP.
LGPE is different as they're just Kanto remakes with a fresh coat of paint and mostly superficial changes; the storyline is more or less unchanged from the original games and their other remakes.
So if the games revisit Unova after releasing "faithful" BW remakes, something akin to a Legends game would make more sense than a Let's Go-style game. Otherwise they should go straight to a "Paradox" game _without_ a faithful remake to keep things interesting
2. I think people would riot if they did an "enhanced" version of SV now lol. I thought the idea for the DLC expansions ever since SwSh was that they would serve as the replacements for enhanced games and sequels. Because at the end of the day you're getting the exact same game with a few updates
What they could do is release a Paldea-themed spinoff game (probably from a diff dev team), but not another mainline game set in Paldea (at least not for another 10+ years lol)
GF just cannot afford to redo Paldea from scratch to prove to people they can develop games properly, when the least they could do is patch the existing game lol. If anything it just feels disingenuous tbh
3. Personally I'd love to see a Legends-style Kanto game to mark the 30th anniversary; because it would probably focus on the lore of Mew and Mewtwo I imagine it would take place in the latter 20th century (maybe during Oak and Agatha's youth). We could also see the origins of Team Rocket as a smaller gang or sth
But we should also remember that anything could happen lol
- 10th Anniversary: DP released (in Japan)
- 15th Anniversary: BW released (globally)
- 20th Anniversary: SM released
(LGPE was only released 2 years later)
- 25th Anniversary: BDSP released & PLA announced for the following year

While Kalos is a stretch, it's in must more need to be remade then Kanto.
Maybe we'll get Legends Arceus 2 but it's in Paradox Johto aka Sinjoh/Tohjo.

I feel like Gen 10 is gonna be in China just because of the names for the legendaries in Gen 9
I mean, while Pokemon themselves never point towards a region (Since then gen 3 should have been Africa, due to Donphan and Girafarig), i also think China is coming due to the 2016 released Pikachu plushie set, which has had a China inspired plushie and a Netherlands inspired plushie, so those regions will come for sure.
Something interesting for the next game to maybe build on the traversal aspect of scarlet and violet is to allow you to ride on your starter, offering different traversal options depending on the starter until you get other specific pokemon for traversal, kinda like legends arceus.

As for what’s immediately next they have never teased what’s coming next this hard literally ever so you can also expect to unova remakes of some sort announced on pokemon day for 2024.
There’s also one thing I wanna bring up since you guys do these videos all the time and that’s khu has stated a lot of things regarding pokemon 2024 but has everyone forgotten about the mythical tease for Gen 10? Khu and I believe it was the Chinese uncle or whatever stated there was code in indigo disk for an Ice/Poison Serpent mythical pokemon. They have teased the next generation by early mythical reveals several times now

As much as I would love for this to be the case, it doesn't fit with the past decade of release trends. new generations are always 3 years apart, and traditional remakes are always in even numbered generations. So the more logical timeline is Johto in 2024, Gen 10 2025, and Unova remakes in 2026
Honestly I wanna see all the pokemon regions collide into one big game, they could easily do this with the gens they already have and then release each consequential region as a dlc addition. Though how the game will run is the biggest hurdle. To minimize frame loss and connectivity having single region union circles would be a solid fix. The next bit would be the leveling, how would they go about scaling pokemon in the regions and I feel like the simplest way to go about it would be to restrict your pc access while in different regions, obviously upon region completion the pc will unlock. Another really big issue I see is version exclusives, now for the simplest way to do this they would focus on the legendaries, as this will be almost impossible otherwise, making the legendaries based off your dialog choices instead. Say for instance you decided to pair with this person and comlete the game, it would lock the other path. This would also help to add to replayability. Now finally would be resetting your game, say you want to redo a region it would have to be set in a way that it wouldn't affect any other regional progression (Could also add an optional choice to allow pc access in replays)
I would be shocked if they released a major game of any kind before the new system release. Maybe the only expedition is if they can relaunch it on the new system with bonus content on the next gen console.
I’d like to see either a Pokémon stadium game or a relaunch of heart gold/soul silver from the handheld systems as a physical copy for the switch instead of a subscription add on.
After how they did for the Zelda 25th anniversary my hopes for the Pokémon 30th anniversary are very low.

I agree that Gen X is coming in '25, and '26 should be DLC for Spring/Summer AND a Kanto game for the Holiday season because if there's a company that loves to capitalize on nostalgia factor, that is the TPC. I just hope, if it happens, it's not yet another remake. A Legends: Mew or Red 2 Blue 2 could be cool (although that gets blurry because Gold and Silver are basically Red 2 Blue 2, so it'd be a sequel to them).

I feel like the Final Pokémon game should have every generation starting from Kanto and everytime you complete a region you box your team and start from scratch in the next region. Finally after the last region you get to participate in a world tournament which is competitively very difficult and the AI is as tough as in radical red. I feel like throughout the game the AI should pose some challenge and trainers mons should have best IV, EV spread and good movesets
try pokemmo. Just google it, take your time and trust me you won't be dissappointed. Gen 1 - 5 in one Game with travelling between the regions, tournaments and all the bells and whistles of online play. It's truly amazing how far fan made games have come!

I think they're scared to make a gen 5 faithful remake.
I can see them making a new game based in that region for sure, maybe one set in the future with the kids from Blueberry as gym leaders or elite four members.
But don't forget gen 5 is the worst selling MLG.
Even if they're your favourite games, numbers don't lie and Pokemon DOES care about the numbers.
People now talk kindly of Gen 5 but at the time it was hated, even game freak were shocked at how bad the reception was, it's why we got all the gen 1 love from gen 6 onwards, it was a sorry we f'd up, here are the Pokemon you like but with new gimmicks/forms.
I still think they're bad games, i loved the concepts of the games but for me they were poorly executed.
I think next year got to be black and white remake legends unova or legends Johto in 2024 2025 or 2026 gen 10

2027 for the Gen 10 because GameFreak needs to quit pumping out the games so fast we Fans can be patient enough for a polished game.

The problem in this case are the anime, TCG, VCG and merchandise. They are pretty much spend after three years (Especially the TCG and VCG), so Gamefreak is forced to bring out a game with new Pokemon.
@@nickdentoom1173 you're right, the anime, TCG, VCG, and merchandising makes the games just something to support their other ventures. But it means they really need to adjust how they develop if they want to make great games again. they could have an entire team working on a game for longer just so we could have a more polished game. Not to be pessimistic, but I don't see a scenario where they make great games again unless they change.
I'm wondering if gamefreak will listen to pokemon fan by making the artstyle now more cute, bright and more enjoyable and these are my top 10 things that could happenned (btw i'll be just not describing it here, cause i'll comment in another, thank you)
Tbh im pretty sure 2024 holiday is gen 5 remakes and then we get gen 10 in 2025 and then idk what for 2026
My thoughts are that in 2024 we'll be getting more S/V dlc.
Pokemon needs more time to work on gen 10. They cannot have issues with the next big release. I really feel like nintendo slapped their hands because of all the issues with s/v.
In 2025, we'll probably see remakes. Im hoping for faithful remakes of bw and b2w2 on one cartridge (black and black 2 on one and white and white 2 on the other) leading up to B3W3.
Then, in 2026, on the new switch hardware hopefully, is when we will get gen 10. Lines up perfectly with the 30th anniversary. And i feel like we'd be going to the region that Kitakami is part of. Some sort of Japan region. And the dlc for that will be Johto and Kanto (potential for Hoenn and Sinnoh too).
We aren't getting more S/V DLC, esle they wouldn't have brought out the physical copies with the DLC on them.

Honestly I'd like to see Pokémon legends celebi to continue legends arcuse to transfer our data to continue but more new stuff and such
Gen 10 will most likely be in 2025 due to Gamefreak wanting to keep to a dedicated release. Add in that they not only focus on the video games, but also card game and anime, and those three have to coincide with one another. Because of that, every 3 years sees a new gen so as to keep the anime and card game fresh, allowing for the sale of more merch. As for 2026, it'll be something else for the anniversary similar to the last major anniversary which saw the release not of Gen 8, but instead the remake of Diamond and Pearl.
Not only that, but the VCG format as it currently is, can no way be supported longer than the 3 year lifespan it currently is (It already running longer than 2 years is already problematic, because it becomes stale in the 3rd year because everyone uses the same Pokemon).
I’d love to see more unova but honestly let’s butcher those gen 2 remakes and give game freak more time to create better gen 5 games lol. All the way johto so they dont massacre gen 5
10. We will get a legends Kyruem game that will take place where we can see the original formes of Fossil pokemons and the original dragon
9. We will get black 3 and white 3 and the Diffrrence between black 3 and white 3 is Bidoof line is only for Black 3, Bounsweet line is only in white 3, Special defense of complete forme kyruem will be the highest while it's other special state will be the highest depending on the game and that's it
8. We will get a legends zygarde and celebi game
7. Pokemon z will come out
6. All lies will be fixed
5. XY remakes
4. Black and white remakes
3. A new DLC that take splace in kalos

Why is everyone forgetting the legit leak that said SV DLC 2 is going to launch on Switch 2 with a graphics improvement patch? The DLC 2 could’ve been Blueberry but it very much could also be a whole new DLC.

I'm goin to keep callin DLC. If we may not get a main gen game until 2026. They are goin to have to keep this main fen game alive and raids wont do it. Thats online money for Nintendo. A DLC alongside a remake makes money. Selling the next game the years after by itself would make money and a gen 10 on its own year would make money. Everyone isnt and didnt buy all those games when they came out in a 12 month period. Thats missed opportunity. I

If we have no new evvelution or a regional form for Flygon in gen 10, i will be so dissapointed. The last eevee was Ylveon in 2013 and Flygon had NOTHING since he exist. He's a cool pokemon, have a cute role in the Jirachi movie and fun moves. Give him something please 🙁

What if the 6 paradox legendarys and the two dlcs are the hint at what they are going to do. The legendary beasts are all past paradox Pokémon. Not only that but kitikami is clearly very close to johto I believe the location of the shinjo ruins just north of johto. The entire story of the teal mask is about traditions and legends things of the past. On the other hand we have the swords of justice are all future paradox Pokémon. Blueberry academy is from unova and if packed full of refaces to those games. Blueberry academy in itself is extremely futuristic more futuristic than anything we have ever seen. So what if we don’t get one legends game but two a paradox duo of legends johto and legends unova. Johto being set in the past and unova being set in the future. I also don’t think we will be seeing a remake of unova at all because it already has one in b2w2.

Im so glad the indie devs that made Palword embarassed the Pokemon company by outselling Nintendos most expensive franchise. The future for pokemon is looking bright and hopefully Nintendo learns from their mistakes from the last few games.
I don't think i'll be playing anything Johto related. HGSS is the only good thing to ever have come out of it and that simply can't be beat. A let's go or legends johto game is just going to be INCREDIBLY underwhelming and I truly think they need to move forward with the gen 5 remakes rather.

I think Legends Celebi is very plausible here. Especially since there’s already backstory from the anime. We could play as Samuel Oak or his female counterpart. And it would be based on saving celebi in the past and catching it at the end of the game
