After about 4-6 months of starting my business, I’m growing and considering uping my prices. My details have gotten faster and my equipment has gotten better, going from a Water hose gun attachment with a Harbor Freight foam cannon to a Pressure washer with a legit foam cannon, the list goes on. I realized after using my new set up, I’m shorting myself out by sticking with old prices which match old experience. As I grow and evolve I feel the money has to follow.
I remember when it was $25 to get my car detailed. I think pre-Covid. So, during and after Covid, I cleaned my own car. About 3 weeks ago, I stopped by a car wash. And, they quoted me $250. I was shocked, and said my car isn’t even dirty dirty…,😂😂😂. So, I got on CZcams and taught myself how to really clean a car. $250, that’s my car payment. I also can’t find any mobile detailers anymore. Times have changed.
a job that anyone feels like they can do always loses, imo its fun washing my car
@@Undefeated0-0 yeah I know, I enjoy washing my car as well
@@Nubianqueen931I charge 45 for full car cleaning if it’s extremely dirty I charge 85 worst case 95
@@RAPPERSbestEDITS1 I can afford that 🤗
Your voice audio is on point bro. I'll listen to a couple other channels struggle to hear what they are saying then one of your videos comes on and your voice is just booming. I gotta turn my speakers down, but thats a good thing!
Good mic and EQ, De-esser, and a compressor can do good things.
I've been following your channel for a few years now. Love to see your growth, mentally and financially. Great content!
I'm currently in the food truck business and I'm considering to do mobile detail with my 3 teenage sons as a side hustle during our off season.
Hope your CZcams channel and detail business continue to grow. Thank you for sharing your knowledge and experiences.
Fantastic advice, love the shorts and advice
👀 me starring at those dang yellow towels 😂
Great info though! Love the content. Keep up the great work!
It’s tough times man but you have to do it to survive. Local wash unexpectedly closed after 30 years because they kept keeping the prices down
South Fl is 250 for wash spray wax and clean the inside. I give them a 30.00 tip for a good job.
on point.keep moving forward.
Fantastic video breh.
Great video.
I've been in business 34 years and still get low ballers.
yup!
Lol
@@DetailGrooveI did it to! People don't want to pay! Especially friends!
That will never stop until you stop!
You will always get low ballers with loads of pet hair. I just tell them the price and nothing less because they don’t go to the mall and try to talk them down. Enough said
Do you have a website? How do we book a detail?
what soap are you using to clay?
What is the mat you have under the vehicles?
That is awesome ladder they used in this video to wash the GMC. Where can a guy buy that the scaffolding ladder?
I'm in Texarkana. I need to train with you guys. Do you have a class?
How to connect you about “SEO” training? I want to know about more information. Thanks.
For some damn reason the square floor mat fascinates me on how it retains water.
Oscar do you need someone to do your mobile stuff? I’m in Houston and yes I know how to detail.
You're simply creating an adjustable quote that is dependent upon requested services and additional services. I don't consider that to be raising prices. It's formal business terminology.
What's the scheduling software you use?
A calendar and pencil.
You’re so fucking helpful. Keep preaching!
I charge about 35$, I feel like my service and experience matches that price in my area. But at the same time, I do test the waters sometimes and see how much I could potentially get
35 😂 for gas, supplies and time your losing money😢
I watch your videos though it may seem odd to others because I am not a car detailer. I am not a mobile car detailer either.
I watch your videos from a business perspective, to gain knowledge on business practices. I am however a pet groomer and I am mobile. I get low ballers as well! Grooming dogs and cats although I love what I do it is still work. And it could be hard work. We all need to charge our worth. People may say I'll just do it myself then. Okay. As a groomer we hear the statement- ...that's more than it cost for my own haircut... Well, a pet groomer is washing, drying, brushing, combing, trimming- the whole body, not just the head of hair, also cleaning ears, trimming nails all while an animal may be wiggly, bitey etc!
Nothing is Basic.
Quality service - is not cheap.
Was that a 928??? Still love that car! ❤
When someone brings their car to your shop, they take another car home?
I have a question I’m new to detailing. What’s the difference between maintenance details and premium wash?
Maintenance details are re-accruing details , like wash the same car once a month or every two weeks to keep it clean. The premium wash he’s referring to in the video is just a exterior wash and door jambs, hope that helps
Damn I got here early
welcome 🙌🏽
$3 for soap
12$ for a clay bar.
$10 for butter wet wax
Done. car shiny.
That’s about $1 per vehicle. $60 for a 1 hour hand wash and interior wipe down and vacuum is more than enough for an uneducated individual to make washing a car. Trained mechanics and welders make $60-80/hr and you are washing a car charging the same amount? Pathetic!
Where are you located? 25 for a wash? A gas station car wash in CA is 10-20. Gas in CA is 6 bux a gallon. 150 is rt for a wash, interior and a layer of Beadmaker
This isn't cancer surgery.
Neighbor went to emergency room for sons ear pain. Found out the son had an ear infection and was released after a few hours. The dad received a bill for $18,000. Surgery must cost $100K+. $500 for a car detail is nothing.
All this is common sense. Yall act like he's telling some top secret ish. 😅
I’m thinking about $60 per hour for washing a car. You aren’t performing anesthesia or neurosurgery. You are washing a car. Sorry to bring you into reality. Charge $200 for a car wash. Your work load will decrease significantly. You are selling a low expertise service. Soap. Water. Scrub. You are hyping yourself over nothing. You are washing cars making a mediocre living. What else can I help you with?
Omg bro love yr channel but u said the same thing over and over and over.
Why don't you charge $500 for a wash?
You could just was four cars a week.
😅😅
Or 1k for a wash and just do 2 cars a week
I don't believe you're that cheap
everyone will be different!
@@DetailGroove I already know bro. I’ve been following you for awhile.
I would love to see a video with you and wilson auto detailing discussing this topic and strategy because he talks "maintenance clients" as the bread butter if his business
@@shane10It could be a good way to start growing your business but you can only make so much money with maintenance details bc the idea is to charge a little lower for them to keep servicing their car so if ur fully booked with those you can rlly fit the higher priced jobs , so it depends on what your goal is and how much you want to make
I've gotten people who pick the premium wash and vacuum. When I get there, the car is a mess. It needs $400 detail.
Dog I bet you business is slow for you now😮😢😢😂
