  • These remarkable Dolphins in Western Australia display incredible ingenuity when hunting for fish in the shallows. With little room for error, it would appear fortune does indeed favour the brave.

      So long and thanks for all the fish!
      So sad that it should come to this!
      We tried to warn you all but oh dear...
      You may not share our intellect;
      Which might explain your disrespect
      For all the natural wonders that
      grow around you~
      So long, so long and thanks;
      for all the fish!
      The world's about to be destroyed!
      There's no point getting all annoyed!
      Lie back and let the planet dissolve around you~
      Despite those nets of tuna fleets;
      We thought that most of you were sweet.
      Especially tiny tots and your
      pregnant women!~
      So long, so long, so long, so long, so long
      So long, so long, so long, so long, so long
      So long, so long and thanks!
      for all the fish
      If I had just one last wish...
      I would like a tasty fish...
      If we could just change one thing...
      We would all have learned to sing...
      Come one and all!
      Man and Mammal!
      Side by Side in life's great gene pool!
      So long, so long, so long, so long, so long!

      +Cameron at least you appreciate its beauty. But rather than thinking of the destruction we've caused, instead think of proactive solutions to the problems we've created. If we can learn anything from Elon it is that an individual CAN make an impact if one is driven and dedicated enough by their love of this world to make a positive change.
      I'll always remember this from, of all things, The Walking Dead (paraphrased a bit):
      The pessimist looks down and runs into a wall; the optimist looks up and trips over their feet; the realist looks forward and sees the path laid out before them.

      @Cameron-gx9ds Před 7 lety

      well said!.....despite my first post/reply, i am actually an optimist, but one that gets very saddened at the plight of our society.....optimism doesn't always equate to happiness unfortunately, but it does push for positive and productive change, and finding solutions to problems as opposed to wallowing in defeat. I apologise for my negativity, and agree with all that you stated! Yes, it will be interesting to think how dolphins will change over the years to come.

    Something sad, disturbing and, not surprisingly, caused by humans has occurred recently in this part of the world. These wonderful creatures, Indo-Pacific bottle nose dolphins have been a great driver of tourism in Western Australia for decades. More recently however there has been a spike in trophy hunting for sharks. The use of burley/chum to attract sharks to a fishing area has resulted in a higher concentration of sharks in the area where the dolphins live, and there have been attacks on the dolphins as a result.

      Truth. I am hoping that this is rather normal behavior and not due to changes in their usual feeding patterns, but it makes me wonder because the narrator said only a few of the lot were brave enough to risk beaching themselves. Fascinating animals!
