This was perfect as a vanity desk for me. czcams.com/users/postUgkxMAlHv7-BBWMrPRm5-uEoD6rtdT7SG2Qr Especially the glossy finish. Easy to cleanI was looking for something that wasn't the traditional white and with more of a modern feel. This fit the bill beautifully. I put it together with no problems, by myself in under an hour.Make sure you double check where you place the drawer tracks before screwing down. I had one track that needed to be aligned with different holes than the rest.
SO AWESOME!!!!
I'm the fearless 76 year old that is doing my first piece, the ENTIRE dining room set including the table that seats 10.
I've considered many colors including seafoam, blue, green and turquoise but decided on a soft dove grey with metallic silver accents and doing the top of table exactly as you have demonstrated in soft but natural wood grain finish.
I'm a resent widow after 5 long years of my husband's brain injury hospitalization and i was in a very dark place of the heart but God's perfect timing has raised my spirits up and I'm feeling very much looking into the future and following my artistic self again.
Thank you for the inspiration ❤
What a journey you are on ❤️ I love that your letting your artistic self take the lead!
❤️how is your project coming along?

Thank you for asking. My vision seems light years away from reality!
Initially planning on white base then grey and silver accents for a traditional look.
New vision going to pale aqua with silver and gold accents plus using the Rustoleum Metallic White Pearl over the entire white dining room.
Sadly i live in Canada specifically Mississauga (part of the city of Toronto)and the supplies are extremely difficult to hunt down.
Besides the aqua and pearl wash i was planning to paint a garden with grasses, butterflies, birds and flowers on the sides of both buffet and sides.
It's a challenge mentally and physically hunting for supplies of even basic paints very much unlike the beautiful and blessed USA.
Most often because of covid the brick and mortar retailers have empty shelves and online shopping can be disappointing.
God bless you for thinking of me.
Not sure if i can send you pictures of my progress.
I hope you are doing well now after your husband’s passing? You must keep busy and am hope we can see what your finished product looks like. God bless you. Shannon is such an inspiration.
I became a widow (very suddenly) 8yrs ago. And although I didn’t discover my passion in refurbishing furniture, I did start painting! I took classes with a great friend. And it was SO THERAPEUTIC! I’m so sorry for your loss. God does heal the heart and painting is an AMAZING treatment. You go girl! Somehow, I’d love to see your finished project!😃😃😃
Omg gorgeous excellent video. Love that you refinished a table instead of a stain a new table! Gave new life to that old table! Yes! I subscribed
Thank you for posting this video. The Glee I felt at seeing your finished product truly warmed my heart, whereas, I have the exact table that you used in your video, but have no chairs for it. . . So I'll begin my search looking for them! Once again, it was truly a joy to watch you transform that dining room set!

I love how this turned out. I have a coffee table that I am going to refinish the same way. I hope it turns out as beautiful as your project did.
That is now gorgeous! The table top is expertly finished and using the dark wax highlights the unique table edge features. Thank you so much for sharing.
OMG I am speechless. That is gorgeous. I have always loved those chairs and have seen people paint them white and they lose the beautiful carved detail. But the wax you applied brings that out just beautifully. Thank you for the inspiration!
My parents got this for free on fb market and it’s defiantly old and used so I’m glad I found your video to make it more modern!
I like Kacha with all her gold and silver accents and your furniture videos!
Wow! Really great! I was about to buy a new table, but what you did, goes with my new house decor.
THanks!
Gorgeous. First time I've seen dark wax and love d the details it leaves...next to a white or clear wax. So pretty.
This is absolutely beautiful!! I love how this turned out!! You are very talented!
Wow! That is such a huge improvement! Great work.
Wow!! I’m in awe right now. I have the same exact table and chairs. They were left be the previous owner. Time for a make over.
Love love love every detail you did in this project. Not only my kitchen cabinets but our dining table and chairs as well that I want to redo
If you do your cabinets try valspar furniture and cabinet enamel, it takes a bit longer to dry and cure but is SO durable and waterproof, about $25 at lowes for a quart, I’m sure a gallon is better pricing too
Tabletop is just beautiful!
You did an absolutely beautiful job! Thanks for sharing!!!! God bless!
I absolutely love this! Thanks for posting.
This is the best table transformation video.
So glad I ran across this. I own this very.table set and I have contemplated doing this exact diy. Thanks for doing this! It turned out beautifully!
Me too Sharon! It's my parents and they are both gone now. Not sure if I want to get rid of it.
Thanks for sharing, I have the same table and now I can make it new again.

Tina Harville yay!! I’m so glad ❤️
Beautiful! I love this project!
Una autentica maravilla. Muchas gracias por compartir y enseñar. Por fin he encontrado lo que estaba buscando y lo puedo poner en practica. Mi mas sincera felicitación por tu trabajo. Enhorabuena.
Just learned one more thing from you!
Wipe on Poly 🙌
It turned out lovely!
I love love love the results. 👌
Beautiful results!
I love your videos! Thank you so much for sharing with us 🙌
One tip of advice I'll give about the wipe on poly. Pay attention when purchasing to whether it is a clear gloss, satin, and there was also a warm gloss or I think a warm Satin. I do not have a clue what the warm finishes look like? And if you do not want any shine or gloss I recommend varathane three times the thickness matte finish. Don't be afraid of the milky white color! It dries to a clear flat matte finish. That is what I used on my barn doors
I learned SO much in this short video, you're intelligent, talented & they are beautiful!!!😍
From one Shannon to another 😎, thank you so much!!
I really do love it. Its beautiful, great job👍🏿👍🏿💯👌🏿👌🏿.
Look like a brand new table love the colors you used🤗🤗 also personally love the smell of fresh stained wood

Absolutely beautiful. Great job♥️♥️♥️
Thank you so much!
That is sooooo Pretty!!!
By the way all your videos and work are amazing and beautiful
I’m kinda mind blown right now- I’ve been thinking of doing this to our dining table set but we were renovating g our home so I didn’t pay it much kind yet. Today I thought oh let me look for a video to see the best way to do it- yours was the first video so I click on it- and lo and behold- it’s the exact same set we have! So I can see what it will look like ahead of time and I love it 🥰
I have one too. This is so beautiful!
Beautiful done
You packed so much good information into this video, and your project turned out fabulous. Respectfully, I do want to mention that the volume of your music could do with some adjusting. I had to keep turning the volume up and down because the music was so loud. Again, I say that respectfully, not rudely. I really enjoyed your video, and I appreciate your work. -Cara
I love this look! Exactly what I was looking for! Question: I have a table that has a redwood stain on it. Would I need to primer it first before applying the white wash?? Thanks in advance 🙂
Beautiful cerused table. I have one just like it.
I really like how this turned out
Inspiring as usual.
Wow! Stunning! 💖💜💖
Beautiful now not sure which one i want to do
I just got a singer sewing table that needs some TLC and I bet this finish you used would be amazing compliment to the black cast iron legs.
Where are you located?
Thankyou sooo much
Gorgeous!
GORGEOUS!!!!😍😍😍
I just got this same exact table given to me😅 I don't have that middle piece though. I desperately want to paint it! Thank you for this video.
beautiful work
Thank you!
Beautiful!
I LOVE THIS! Do you think you could do this to wood door frames/stair cases/wooden pillars in the house? Did you ever try to use this method on unsanded wood? I would like to know what happens on unsanded!
Looks amazing 🤍
Beautiful
Yessss 👏🏻 I love this so much! It turned out BEAUTIFUL
Thank you for this video, I’m redoing a table and it has all different wood tones in it, I’m really hoping the white wash helps!
Gorgeous
Love it!
Just WOW!
Pretty
Beautiful 😍
Great info. Was looking exactly for how to deal with leftover warm tones (red for me lol) in a simple way to get cooler grey tones. Tho I’m looking for a darker slate color. Lol.
Just beautiful I love how it turned out , I don’t know if that’s your table but here Australia we can’t buy pieces like that for a cheap price a table like this on eBay would be $800 to $1,000 so it’s not really worth doing this for us , you are so lucky the pieces people buy to do this kind of restoration is ,worth it but for us I would only do this for my furniture to keep but I love would you do just beautiful 😍
I am really enjoying your channel. I work with a lot of wood
Cool, thanks!
Thanks 😁😁😁
Love it
You have a new suscriptore ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Yay!!! 🥰
Your work is amazing wow😍👍🏻you do great job 💪🏻 ineed to know frome where your table set if i buy it i will do like you😊👍🏻
Hi! For your chair, how do you seal it after your done? Thank you :)
I want to do this to my cabinets
Amazing process, I loved the finished look.I have a table very similar and want to do the same thing, painted base and stained top. A question for you- did you use any of the grayed wax on the base to tie in the color?
On a different note, I recently bought an oak gentlemen’s dresser for my bedroom. It is pretty old so I want to clean it up and revamp the hinges and handles. What product do I use to clean it up. I’m not intending to refinish it or repaint it.
Hello. You do beautiful work. I wanted to ask advice to repaint my table. It's a wood table with cherry finish. I want to spray paint it black. What products should I use?
Hello, I wanted to know if it’s possible to use a spray gun to paint the chairs and get them same results? I’m planning to refurbish my kitchen table and chairs asap and love what you did!!!
I have the exact same set that used to be my grandmothers. I love it but the designs don’t fit my house, would you happen to have any recommendations on how to cover the designs? I want to give this table a new life to fit my style.
I love this, I have this table, it does have that veneer too. I'm going to give this a shot. My questions 3 mos. later, are, did you sand the chairs 1st and could I use a water based paint instead of oil? I have never worked with oil based paint. Anyway, you may have answered this already, I'll look through the comments in the meantime. Thank you for such a beautiful design, especially the trim work!
I scuff sanded most used parts of the chairs with a 220 grit sanding pad. The white paint i used for the chairs is water based, the only thing that was oil was the grey stain I used on the table and I had to use that because it was the only stain I could find in that color. A lot of furniture painters use a paint wash technique instead of stain to avoid chemicals. The way you do that is to mix water with your water based paint and then apply the same way you would apply a stain. I need to do a video on that! Hope that helps! General finishes makes a water based gel stain called ''no pain Gel stain" check that one out!
I am especially interested in learning how to applied the stain on the side panels where the grain of the veneer is going in so many directions. Could you please have a video showing that! Please. Thanks.
From where your table set ? I like it it's so pretty 😍
Nice
Was the white wash a Chau ok based paint? Or a primer? Great content.
Hi there I have a set of table n chairs like yours I like to know on the chairs after u paint it did u mix all three of the wax together n put it on or u use one at a time. Thanks please reply back soon
I have this exact table
I was also wondering did you have to sand the chairs to get the paint to adhere? Should I use a primer before painting the chairs.? I have used the same colors as you on my table mine turned out a little lighter but it gorgeous. My table is the exact as the one in this video
I bought this exact set and am working on it. I was going to finish the top to match my darker kitchen cabinet and the legs and chair in a distressed navy. This is a great video. I am newer to refinishing furniture and there is so much info. Am I correct that you should remove all old finishes to stain but a light sanding is okay if painting?
Hey Sue, you’re right there is a lot of info out there 😅 but you are correct that to stain you’ll need to strip the existing finish off and then stain but to paint, all you need is a scuff sand and a primer like Zinnser is great to add before painting also. It’s a fun hobby, enjoy your project!
I always enjoy your projects. I learn a lot and implement a lot of your techniques. One Question: Did you add any dark wax to the pedestal and feet?
Thank you! Yes, I put the wax in all the crevices on the white parts of chairs and table base
Beautiful work! But omg get yourself a power sander pleeease. 😊
Is this a place where we can get the kitchen table refinish at that is what I am looking for
Currently redoing a table exactly like this
Nice!
Tomorrow, I am going to do the exact same finish on a similar oak table.
AND my results were disappointing. The pickling looked great, but when wiping the stain, it pulled the pickling off.
Have the exact table set, wow not the first DIY either with it. How many of these sets were made, what era was this styling most popular, who's the manufacturer lol 😂
What would you suggest I use on making cabinets look like a grey wash? They are old and like a laminate or veneer from the 1970’s, but want to make the process easy and feasible?
What do you recommend for a more grayish finish on the table top?
I have a question on the chairs. Do I have to sand then before I paint them??? Also at what point and area did you use the Zinsser Bullseye primer??? I want to make the seat of the chairs the same color as the table. What do you think? I know you have just so much time for each video. It would be nice if you were able to show more of each step I'm new to this and I don't want to mess any of this up
I see some people use stain remover first before sanding, do I need to do that or can I just sand?
After the paint is applied to chairs is there anything else that goes over it?
